They ruined it with the new weapons and items, pretty much any average asshat can buy this game and be "awesome" at it.

We were thinking with League of Legends, since it's growing pretty rapidly and there seems to be only a tournament held every once in a while, C:SS, CoD4, maybe TF2 or Battlefield: BC2. We haven't come up with a lot of details yet and the whole idea is supposed to kept kind of minimal without being hardcore like how MLG is, but basically just have people sign up and join a clan/group and then set up a bracket and play it out, and award the winners what ever prizes.

I know there's more intricate details, but that's the basics.
Interesting. What do you mean "hardcore like MLG"? Will this be a free league? Looks like a decent pool of games as well. Leagues really aren't as easy as you think they are to run. I mean, you have to have up and running dedicated servers, admins, etc.

We're planning on starting it as free with ad revenue bringing up a source of money and then maybe later on charging for tournaments. I'm not sure exactly if that's how he said it's going to work but that's the gist that I got when I asked.

I forgot to mention that it's only PC gaming and there won't be real-life meetups.

My friend and I are thinking of setting up a website for setting up competitions for prizes, mainly money. We haven't done too much, but he has experience with the competitions and how they work. I'm just looking for some ideas, tips, comments or even a name for the website. I'm basically going to set up the website and other "technical stuff", apparently.

People need to play this game, although it's still relatively new which means things won't be completely perfect, the game is so addictive and fun. It's free and definitely worth the download. It's basically DotA with more things to keep you playing, such as leveling up outside the game, many different characters, and talent trees.

Airsoft Gun Shipment Requires Sign. Posted March 11th, 2010 in General

I ordered an airsoft gun off of a website, and when I checked the tracking information it said that it requires an adult signature upon receiving the package, can that signature be any adult or does it specifically require the recipient to sign. Such as having one of my parents sign it rather than me or could they even sign my name for me (forgerylol). I heard of some cases (from Google searches) that they usually don't care about the signature and just leave it there, is that in most cases or is that mainly just in rare occurrences?

It's just in, my balls hurt.

If she isn't obese or really annoying, I don't have a problem. After those requirements it's mainly personality. I could've probably gotten a girl by now but my social awkwardness fucked it up.

When I run games with v-sync on, then instead of where it usually tears, it just lags.

Getting A Gaming Monitor. Posted November 26th, 2009 in General

Since black Friday is coming up, I want to get a new monitor, the one I have now tears too much on higher-end games (It's the monitor, my graphics card pretty much rapes everything that is thrown at it [Nvidia 9800gtx+ 512 Mb]). I've been trying to find what the best refresh rate would be and apparently 72+ will keep from getting tearing. I was thinking about one that is being featured on Newegg for cheap. My monitor tears mostly on games like BioShock, Cod5, Fallout, GoW, etc. Any suggestions or information would be nice and if the featured monitor would be good or a different monitor altogether.

I guess, but I checked everything and made sure the cables matched up, and they did.

Computer Problem Posted November 25th, 2009 in General

I have this computer that I used before the one that I am currently using, and I did some wierd shit to it before. for some ungodly reason, and now I can't get it to work. As far as I know everything works (as in isn't broken), however when I plug a ribbon cable into the CD drive or the HDD then it doesn't power up, but if I take out the ribbon cable then it powers up. I think it might be a PSU problem but I don't know. I should have the HDD's set up with the master/slave shit correct and the CD drive set up correctly, but it still doesn't work. I've checked out guides and I believe I am doing it right but it isn't working.

TL;DR:

This old computer isn't working and when I leave the ribbon cable in any component (except the floppy) it doesn't power up, but if I take the ribbon cable out it powers up fine.

Response to: Best First At&t / Cingular Phone? Posted November 7th, 2009 in General

I was wondering if this would work with the 3gs and if I purchase an iPhone with an At&t plan it says I need to purchase the data plan. If I used that would that basically unsubscribe me to it and not have to worry about the extra charge (I did read through it and that's what I got out of the comments and description)? I'd definitely get the iPhone if I can just pay for phone service and texting and just use wi-fi for the internet and such.

Thanks for the input with the Xenon as well.
Best First At&t / Cingular Phone? Posted November 7th, 2009 in General

I haven't had a real cellphone yet (I had a gophone, but those are the biggest ripoffs). Even with the constant sayings of how At&t blows penis with customer support, I have yet to see anything negative against their service and my parents had Cingular (I'm guessing before the merge) and being the jew-bag I am when it comes to money I'd rather take the cheapest option. I was thinking of an Iphone (3g or 3gs) but I don't really know which would be worth the money because the speed of the 3gs seems a lot better and not that much more expensive for the actual phone, however the iPhone monthly costs seem really expensive. I've been checking BestBuy (That's where I'm probably going to end up getting a phone) and I'm really not sure on what to get. iPhone has all the bells and whistles but the most I need is a reliable phone, texting, and decent call quality (if call quality depends on a phone, I'm not sure if it's that or based on the provider). What are some suggestions for a first phone that isn't too expensive, reliable, etc. If there's any suggestions from the BestBuy site, I need it to be available in stores rather than only available online. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to phones themselves and also the ways of getting ripped off when purchasing plans and phones and what-not.
