Ok, well.. For the line trick thing, I don't know what to tell you. experiment. see what works. It's very easy to make it look bad but once you've made a solid loop of lines dashing by the screen and it doesn't look half bad, you're in the clear. Making your backgrounds more alive, well... Make sure to have a few layers. The last thing you want is everything stuck on the same layer. Just have movieclips of people or animals moving. It's not that hard. Also, a lot of flash artists blur their backgrounds a little for a far away look. This can be done by clicking your symbol, opening up the bottom box and choosing filters > blur. Don't let the blurring power go to your head though or before you know it, your flash looks like it could've been made by your 5 year old son in art class. good luck!

hmm, a movie editing program like sony vegas divides improted movies into their sound files and images. that could help. if all else fails, stick that mic right up to that speaker and hope for the best!

It's ok. The beginning where it's subtle is kinda cool. You'll leave the theatre wondering if it's real though lol. But I recommend Sicko. All the way.

Wow. You have a very very clear idea of what you want done. Personally, I always push myself through with animating whether I want to or not and by the end, I'm having fun. That's just me though. Like I said, Give it time and your plans to get the creative juices flowing sound pretty good. But you're going to have to sit down and animate your flash eventually. Maybe do simpler things at first. It'll be rewarding though. Good luck!

Do you have any ideas at all in mind? There must be something you want to do. I'm thinking that you're starting and then stopping because your drawings aren't coming out the way you would like them to. My recommendation is a graphic tablet. You mentioned that you can draw well on paper and it's the same thing really only you have to look at the screen while drawing. It's doing wonders for me. Best purchase I've made this year. Also, if you really can't think of anything, try to put on some music in the style of the flash you'd like to create. If you want to make a comedy, try some upbeat music and vice versa. But honestly, give it time, it will come to you :)

User pages are an awesome addition to NG. It's kinda like now we have rooms. And even though it's a free space to put up what you want I'm glad there are some rules in place. Because damn it, there are some assholes out there.

Daily 2nd, wow. Thank you newgrounders who voted to get me there. :) Newgrounds Rumble is astonishing to say the least and its 2 years of production by its amazing flash authors certainly reflect how great it is. I hope people see what I submit in the future as well because I think it will be quality work that'll entertain you all!

Ok, I copied the frames from every scene that worked and made a new flash file with it. So in the end, I only really lost one scene that didn't take me too long. Not a huge loss. Thank for responding :). Now, does anyone know how to avoid corrupted symbols?

I am having a huge problem with Flash. I have been working on a flash cartoon for a long time now and I am on my 5th scene. I haven't worked on it for a week and a half and when I came back to it, whenever I tried testing the movie, Flash would close. And whenever I go to Scene 4, it closes on me. I don't know why it's doing this and I am scared. The problem only occurs for this specific flash animation and I do not have any viruses on my computer (at least to my knowledge). If you are a flash author, I hope you understand my fear. I have tried reinstalling Flash and the problem continues. I have sent the flash to my friend and he says the same thing is happening. I am hoping there is something in the menu or configuration that I can check or uncheck to stop this from happening. Please... If anyone has any idea what the problem could be, I would very much appreciate it if you could reply.... Thank you.
