I have trouble continuing songs after I finish composing about 3-4 measures for all instruments.
- Do you guys work on each instrument one at a time throughout the whole song? Or do you do what I do as well?
I have this notion that every second of each song has to be interesting in some way.
- That's not true is it? Techniques to prolong songs can have positive effects on the listener as well, right?

Any tips and tricks to shorten work time would be greatly appreciated.
There is a one really simple trick. Listen tons of different songs. Im sure you will get ideas to make your songs longer too=)

In some songs, certain aspects are more important than others and so you have songs centered around great melodies and you also have songs centered around interesting rhythms and you also have songs based on a theme or story and then you have the songs that are made purely to sound badass.
You are exactly right! I mean really... There cant be limitless amount of awesome melodies in the world. And you really need to listen to the song. not the melody. Then you got to focus on smaller things like melody and bass and variations etc.
Im sorry if i said something that someone said before:D
Im wondering why audio portal hasnt any kind of under judgement system?? I mean you can like vote 0 to every new song so they drop immetiadely to the bottom. Thats really odd. Ive heard many good songs rated zero! o.o
It's not a DAW, but it's definitely a music making program. As for the sounds being fake, a reminder that playback isn't the final goal of Sibelius. It's made for musicians who intend to have their works played live or musicians who want sheet music to their compositions. At 1/31/11 09:57 PM, SatanPown wrote:
Its composing and notation program not music making.
Only..
Hey that sounds awesome Geel9! Looks too;)!
I have an idea that is it possible to add a option to make playlists? That would be damn neat!

I mean you don't need to be a producer in order to be a DJ correct?
You just need to be familiar with the software and you'll be fine.
Am i right?
DJ is the guy who plays the music in clubs or parties lawl
Btw I have used mixcraft and i can say a few words about it.. ITS AWfUL! its way more useless than GarageBand. I mean its laggy and confusing. Only good thing is that its free or atleast damn cheap.
I think you should try logic if you have mac and money but if you dont have i recommend you to try cubase or fl studio. ok you may think that fl studio is not so good to classical but you should give it a shot:)
I have a little bit different question..... Does anyone know a good trustful site where i can find custom fl studio themes/skins:D?

When you first discover it... You might say your ears are bleeding... After few listens more you start like it... Few more you love it... Even more... Oh that shit is boring... But even if its boring sometimes you just have to go listen some good dubstep:D
Btw how i can put my songs in here with genre and the little picture?
new song up named fading times(: my best song i think:D DONT LISTEN THIS ONE
In my opinion software wins. There are many causes but the most important is that software synths are more versatile. I mean you may need dozens of samples but you also may only need one good synthesizer which is capable to give you any sound what you need maybe. But your music style of choice also judges that which is more useful to you, i mean how many good orchestral sound synthesizer you know...
