Yeah, taking things literally on the internet will give you that impression.

As for the achievement usually only special ones count. Every 10,000 points, special numbers such as 11,111 or 22,222, and special ones such as 25,000 - 75,000, etc... would probably be counted, but every 1,000 is just too easy to get.

Fair enough then, I'll be back in a month or two with 40,000 Total Points. Perhaps longer since my pace is snail-pace.

I'll say Unreal, I see it often enough in games and the graphics can really be quite good given the right game (such as BioShock). Some games are pretty bad with it though (Legendary).

They're hardly ruining games, I know I'm still enjoying the games I play with or without their criticism. Hardcore gamers are mostly IRL losers in general (though not all) so it balances out; let them ruin their own world.
