Not quite as far this time, it seems. Only about 40 or 50 years. :P

I could never work that out; they released a fresh, exciting game set in the not-too-distance future that swept the gaming world. Then they went back to the generic World War 2/1/whatever setting.

The Tommyknockers by Stephen King which I picked up for four dollars at a second hand bookshop. Great bargain and not too bad of a book.

What are certain bits in game you struggle to do or just plain don't like? For me its the obligatory stationary gun bit in every FPS and car bit.

Eat a lot is my advice, if you're so skinny. A semi-fat person is more intimidating than someone whose skinny. Exercising will only burn the fat which won't help.

Agreed, making games download only is just poor design. What's the hassle incorporating backwards capability? On the plus side it keep people happy!

Its pretty good, the single player gets repetitive but the multiplayer with bots ois pretty awesome - a lot better than with humans because they mostly spam kill (kill you once and then hide for the rest of the level). Also the sniper is OU as is it.

Pretty harsh, idiot would be the nicer word. Another stupid 'videogame observation' was when I asked my younger cousin if he wanted to play Call of Duty. His question was 'Oh, it doesn't have a cover system does it?', I responded a curt no, and told him it was a FPS, NOT Gears of War. He then asked if wanted to play Horde.

Ha, I love doing that. I started a level on the hardest difficulty to obtain the final achievement but pretty much abandoned it. I'm lazy.

I abandoned mine too, only to come back and beat it in three nights. Pretty easy, only got stuck on three bits which I got on the third go. Tip, carry only the Plasma Cutter, Pulse Rifle and that large plasma cutter thing (name?) to get ammo. Spend credit on health bags and slight ammo here and there, by the end of the game however you'll be swimming in large med packs and medium packs because there's so many.

Because games work that way. You can question a lot of things about video games in general - why does the evil corrupt lord wait until the hero gets to his lair before trying to kill him, letting the hero get stronger and more powerful? Why do the Locusts in Gears leave boxes of ammo lying around? Why does Guitar Hero have a story at all? Not everything has to make sense or have logic as long as the game plays good.

Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie, I literally played those games over and over for years up until the 64 fried on me. Probably would still play it today if I still had the Nintendo. I can see myself playing BioShock in years to come as well as Gears and Oblivion and Dead Space as well as others.

I was just wondering a while ago about the time my sister was watching me play Dead Space. I had just gotten up to the greenhouse level where the air becomes toxic and Hammond warns you not to take off your helmet. My sister then said with an air of defiance that if someone ever told her not to take of her helmet, it'd be the first thing she did. I just shook my head and went about my own business.
Now I have a question though, what is the stupidest thing anyone has ever said about the game you're playing/were playing?

I still need the achievements for that, all I did to 'steal' was run into a shop and run out with a few swords or shields :p As far as stealing goes I think its impossible to pick-pocket someone and not get caught.

I've never really played a game with a real karma system, I guess you could say Oblivion had one to a degree but I don't know.

::SPOILER::

The 'karma' system in BioShock if you could call it that was extremely lame I must say. It was just the ending, it would have been better if Tenebaum never helped you after you kill Ryan and you had to do everything by yourself because you killed her little sisters. It was just the ending which had a difference.

I'm not sure, I love playing FPS just for the level of skill you need to play on higher difficulties and creating cover whenever possible for yourself rather than using a button. And then I love games like Gears of War and Dead Space simply for the difference. I'm half-and-half, I don't think I could pick on defined genre since I like them both.

Welcome, I guess. It's been a little inactive lately though. I haven't played Pokemon in a while, been too hung up on Exams, TF2 and the new Mario & Luigi RPG game.

What's the new game like then, any good? I have to admit, speaking of pokemon I've been itching to play my sister's version, having deleted my game about a year ago and giving it away. But all that grinding...
