I think your issue is with layers. Look at the window to the right of the screen. If you want to select the whole picture, hold shift and click on both of the layers in that window.

To move Kayne around, you just use the move tool. Make sure that you have the layer you want to move selected, then click and drag.

If you want to save the image as a jpeg, you have to flatten it first. Right click on any of the layers and select "Flatten Image."
