I simply cannot imagine the film being good when Tim Burton is releasing 3 movies in the same year.

I'm alright with the idea of a reboot. But I have no idea why they want to tell his origin story again. It's not like there was a movie 10 years ago, and 2 cartoons that told us about it.

I'm pretty sure everybody knows how Spider-Man became Spider-Man. And if they did want to tell us about it they could have just done what The Hulk movie did and just do a quick flashback sequence.

Yea, I've heard that theory. Nothing has been established far enough to say for sure, but in my personal opinion, I would not like that direction. I believe it should be a completely new character, hopefully someone introduced later.

I agree that it would be a cheap shot. It was just an idea based around the information given to us so far. But hopefully they will introduce a new character that could fit into that role.

Well Calgary is about a 2 hour drive from Banff. If you can't get a ride from there, you can always hop on a Greyhound Bus which would probably cost you around $60 or so. As for hotels, Tox put up a pretty detailed post on the second page.
