You don't look very shiny to me. I call BS.
My secret is that I make up secrets to post in threads about secrets in an attempt to gain attention without any real personal effort or commitment to friendship.
My other secret is that I discover more and more each day how much of a cynical bastard I am.
My first and only hour on NG chat, a few days ago:
I learned something new about my name.
I had a discussion about politics and America in general.
I saw someone crying about getting banned and subsequently getting banned again.
All in all, not a bad first impression. Maybe you were just there at the wrong time. Though I gotta say, a little more work on it might make it actually enticing to use. At the moment it's just annoying.
I don't think there is any current technology that is innovative enough to really bump desktops off the scene. It's always been a matter of portability over power to me. Anything that is condensed or an "all in one" type of machine will by default have less physical capacity for improvement or just parts overall. If you're buying an all in one or a laptop, you are looking for something smaller. You're not going to buy a gigantic laptop so that you can fit all of your hardware in it.
Furthermore, cooling is an issue - you can have the godliest specs on your laptop ever, but when it overheats in 2 hours of playing Solitaire you are screwed. Yes you can get a docking station or a cooling pad, but being forced to carry that around with you limits the portability which was the entire point for the thing in the first place. And of course they are still inferior to internal cooling regardless.
The difference is pretty significant now. I imagine in the future it will dwindle, but even so desktops will always be fundamentally higher performing machines and, as was noted previously, easier to customize. I don't think they are becoming niche, so to speak, but there is definitely a much larger split. People who don't care or know about customization, casual gamers, travelers and anyone who doesn't need a significant amount of power on their machine (facebook, Yahoo, and MS Word?) will almost definitely choose an alternative to a desktop.
If nothing else, desktops will always have a place in the world of business. Until as I said, new innovative technology is introduced that triumphs over the limitations of a laptop.

It depends on what you're trying to bait. I suppose if it were family members, your room or the bathroom might indeed be a good choice. But if it's something like fish, bears, small children, or other animals, the situation can vary. I think it's best to just critically examine your needs for the given situation and find a suitable location. I wish you the best of luck on mastering your craft, though.
* As far as the universe goes, our sun is actually a medium to small sized star.
* The sun isn't even halfway through its expected lifespan yet.
* If it weren't for the lack of greenhouse gases on Mars, the heat and light from the sun would make it a planet just as suitable for human life as Earth.
* It's impossible to lick your elbow or any other part of your body while touching the sun.
I would use it to some day become unemployed long before retirement in order to have fun with my life instead of working for 35-40 years.

Also use less movieclips.
This is a little late, but...
I was under the impression imported raster graphics take more memory than flash vector graphics, while vectors consume more processor time. I'm not really heavily into the technical end of it but I do remember learning this.
Wake up early, make a satisfying breakfast, go for a morning jog, come home and do something productive. Have an equally satisfying lunch, clean up the house a bit, relax and find some form of entertainment for a few hours, cook a dinner that balances out the rest of your previous diet. Go out with some friends and come home to get some sleep at 9 PM or so, basking in the glory that you had no one around all day to bug you.
^ All things I, and I imagine any other college student, never did during the regular semester.
I've always eaten it by shaving off pieces with a spoon as well. I've never seen anyone eat it any other way and I grew up in a neighborhood where that was basically everyone's dessert every non holiday night of the year. I was sincerely concerned and confused when you said it was causing you discomfort/pain to eat Italian ice. Give that shot, I guess.
Also, when you're halfway done, flip the ice over in the cup and start eating from the bottom part. All the flavor collects at the bottom.
TL;DR - Post how you motivate yourself to start and see through your projects.
________
Motivation is a huge issue for me at the start of any project. This is pretty bad since I am an art student and art is my only constructive hobby. Once I get started on a project I go all in and work tirelessly until it is finished, and I enjoy every second of it... But I have seriously terrible issues getting the motivation to actually start a project. Sometimes I get in a slump for whatever reason and it's even worse than normal, resulting in art block - something which I adamantly claimed for years to be a fable and a result of laziness.
I'm not sure why this is - the only solution I have found so far is to just force myself to draw something, anything - a frame, a character, a face, a sketch. Something to just get me started. Sometimes it takes off but sometimes it doesn't and it's really frustrating to have no motivation as an artist.
So I come to you, Newgrounds, to ask: as an artist, programmer, musician, or whatever you do - what motivates you to start and finish projects? And how do you bounce back from slumps or art blocks? Also, I am wondering if anyone experiences the same strange situation as me, where they find difficulty in starting a project but none in working on it afterwards.
My solution used to be my flash partner, but he's gone now and I am running out of ideas.
I would think of a new, more fitting name for myself. Although the short version of my name can be used for both genders...
