OK, there are different things about Heaven and Hell. The fact is that if you read The Holy Bible, they are not mentioned in The Old Testament and Jewish people believe that their soul rests until judgement day and then who knows after that. Now, in The New Testament, only one person is described as ascending to Heaven - Jesus Christ, the Demigod.
Now, due to this, philosophers like Thomas Hobbes have speculated that Hell is little more than an office of the Lord. On the day of judgement, souls are brought before the Lord and if you have served him well, you get to stay in the kingdom that he makes, otherwise, you are cast to the other side of the Earth to live in a lawless and shitty society. Perhaps something of a return to Hobbes' war of all against all.
This would not necesserily make Hell a bad place.
Having read up to Joshua, I don't believe in Yahweh as being the creator of everything. Yahweh may exist and may have created Earth, a strong possibility when you consider his temperament (unusual for the Creator) in conjunction with the foricity of nature itself.
I don't believe that Hell or Heaven exist and, indeed, if you ask any Spiritualist, spirits have never spoken of either of thse things.
