I like techno that has a melody to it.

Plaid, VNV Nation.....and I dont know if Aphex Twin counts as techno, but why the hell not.

Electronica is always good. Hell, even some DDR music.

But I cant stand House Party techno where its just a repeptitive drum loop that makes me want to shove knives in my ears and poo in my eyes.

Flash sucks at creating AVI files, among alot of things.

When you first tell flash to create an AVI file, it should be giving you a bunch of different export types. If one doesnt work, try another. And another. Eventually one will work.

Click on the keyframe where the music starts (always give music its own layer btw) and then, after clicking the keyframe, go to the Properties Inspector.

If the Properties Inspector isnt on the bottom of flash, open it.

Click the little grey "edit button"

A menu will come up.

It features 2 white rectangles and a bunch of squiggly lines in each. These represent the left and right speakers. In between them is a ruler. The ruler allow you to cut off chunks on the song.

Find out where in the song you want it to fade (time-wise minutes seconds etc) and THEN click in one of the 2 rectangles where you need it to start fading. A white box should appear. That box represents the volume where you clicked.

Find where the fading is done and you want it to go silent. Click. Another white box should appear. Drag that box downward. This will make the volume where you clicked 0. Flash will do the rest.

Do this for the other rectangle thing filled with squiggles as well.

Did you actually draw that or trace it?

Try drawing yourself. And by that I mean, find a mirror and really try to draw yourself.

And take your time. Alot of portraits get wrecked when the artist tries to go too fast or "thinks" they know how to draw something and then the picture ends up looking more like a charicature and less like a realistic drawing.

Always do it simple and sketchy first, so you can get the shapes of facial features and construction right, then add details.

Sprites aren't hard to work with.
THEY ARE FUCKING PREMADE ANIMATED GIFS.

Anyone who knows even the most basic laws of flash understands how easy sprites are to work with.
The drawings and art are already done fore you. And all the animation (walking, jumping, flying) is already done for you.

The ONLY WORK you do is moving the characters around with tweens or a few keyframes.

THAT is why sprite flash sucks.
And only on very VERY rare occasions does an author actually go out of their way to do a sprite cartoon with their own sprites.

JUst go into phosotshop, find a font that isnt too stylized, make it as tiny as possible, and take off "Antalias" so it doesnt blur the edges of the letters and they look sharp yet tiny.
