But unfortunately, your "un-bent" Gradients do make the piece look flat....
Personally I would have used the good old fashioned 'manual line division' method... But that's just because I've got time to burn doing that sort of thing nowadays....
If I were you, I'd work on my visual perspective a bit more.
Other than that, it's not a bad piece.
Yeah, I like drawing robots, mainly because you get a lot more freedom in designing them compared with drawing humans or animals. Since I draw robots more often, and hence get more practice, I can understand why my robo-anatomy would be better than my organic anatomy.

Yeah, the rules do stipulate that you should begin a topic with a piece of your own, original artwork.
We're sticklers for rules in here, so....
yeah...

the tail is my favorite part cuz its so detailed and skinny but not falling off.
Yeah, basically I made a rough wire armature, onto which I sculpted a two-part resin. Basically, you mix two different chemical resins together, and they slowly set to form a plastic. It's good for about ten minutes, in which time you can do some sculpting. After that, it gets lumpy and kinda useless. It takes about 12 hours to fully set, so these sculpts did take quite a long time. But I enjoyed every second.

Define "retarded"... Is that 'retarded' as in 'that must have come out of the mind of a madman' retarded, or 'that's just plain stupid' retarded, or 'It looks like it was drawn by a retard' retarded?
The addition of eyebrows would really help. Also, draw her with her eyes downcast. An easy way to achieve this in an anime style drawing is to put a line under each eye which just cuts the bottom off the pupils. This represents the bottom eyelid.
Another way to make someone look worried is to put a hand to the mouth, or maybe just showing a little of the teeth.
Other than that, nice work. I look forward to seeing the rest of your work.
Yet another piece of art...
This one was done a while ago as a character design for "Lev Mondolovan" a soldier in one of my stories. I drew it first in pencil, then went over it in flash.
It's not a particularly detailed drawing, but I like it anyway.
It can be viewed at higher resolution here:

sorry to have to say this, man....
But you're not allowed to come into the art forum to start a thread for the soul purpose of making a request (It's in the art forum rules, which is the first topic in the forum). Generally speaking, all art topics should be started with a post containing a piece of art, not a request for one.
People tend to get flamed for making such requests.
But hey, it's better to hear it from someone like me rather than being instanly flamed.
Well, maybe he had seen the drawing on the other site before, and recognised this piece as the stolen artwork.
Or perhaps, he thought "No way, man... That's too good for the likes of in here..." And investigated.
Or, maybe he has no life and likes to check every single topic in here to see if the pictures have been posted on any sites other than this one.
We can only guess...
niiiice. A very well-drawn piece. I particularly like the level of detail in it.
Ah, the joys of having anonymity behind a meaningless name. Nobody will draw pictures of it.
Anyway, really nice work. The 'stone' one really made me laugh (Sorry stone). I like your use of lighting to give an almost inflated, cartoony feel.

anyone knows of a good joke?
My life story.
Nah, okay, a good joke... Ummm.
George Bush walks into Walmart one day, and he sees a jigsaw puzzle with a bog, orange tiger on the cover. "Brilliant!" Cries George. "That's just what I need to take my mind off of the horrors of the war in Iraq!" So, he quietly buys the jigsaw, goes back to the oval office and opens the box. Thousands of little orange pieces fall out, and he begins to work, sifting through the sea of orange pieces, trying to find out which one fits where. Ten days into it, and he hasn't even found the corner pieces yet. "Oh, for the love of god!" George cries. "This is impossible!" So, to get the puzzle finished, he phones up Steven Hawking ('Cause he's really smart like that), who rolls into the oval office a few hours later. "Oh, thank god you're here, Doctor Hawking." George says, ushering him towards the desk, still covered with orange pieces.
Steven Hawking takes one look at the pile of disorganised pieces and then says, in his metallic tone:
"Yeah.... Put the frosties back in the box, George."
I agree whole-heartedly with your approach, MC...
Those who come in demanding sigs, backgrounds, illustrations etc. are an insult to the spirit of this art community.
sorry to sound like so much of a hippie. I don't normally jump on the bandwagon like this.
"When there's enough idiots on a bandwagon, it's time to roll it off a cliff."
Nice.... I particularly like the gash on the collar-bone.
good use of theatrical blood, too. Just enough to make it look gory, but not enough to be ever-the top.

It's not his drawing, it's stolen... Scroll up and you'll see.

The irony is killing me. :D
The bimbo doesn't even answer the question. It's like being asked "Why did you put cheese in the toilet?"
And answering with:
"I think we should help people who are less fortunate... And all that hippie crap that the judges want to hear."
And here's the same facehugger and eggs, a little bit closer-up.
I also sculpted a facehugger and a pair of alien eggs.... Again, the coin is shown for scale purposes.
I hate to sound like the stereotypical scotsman, but I really can't get enough of haggis. With just a dash of HP sauce, it's absolutely brilliant.
Oh, and doughnuts. Strawberry glaced doughnuts.......
It's like some bizzare combination of a pig, an elephant and a donkey...
Cute, but kinda other-worldly. I like it.
This is the alien after one day of sculpting.... Just the basic shape of the legs and the basic shape of the head.
Here's a better look at the tail....
You have no idea how long it took me to sculpt that tail.
the head only takes two days, but the tail took weeks. I had to leave the resin to set on the first couple of segments before continuing to the next couple......
It took far too long.
It's the same sculpture.... in close-up!

Thanks, man! I appreciate your interest in my work :D
Here's another piece that I did about four months ago. It stands about two and a half centimetres tall, sculpted from copper and resin, and took around three weeks to make, and a further two days to paint.
I don't often get a chance to do sculpting, but I really do enjoy doing it.
Some of you might be able to recognise this sculpture as the alien from alien 3?
I sculpted it so that myself and my friends could play games of 'alien hunt' in our games of Necromunda (a small-scale tabletop battle game by games workshop... Back in the days when it was good.)
Here's the first picture of my sculpted alien. The one-pound (brit-money) coin is shown for scale purposes.
This is my most recent creation....
It's tragic that I drew this picture on A3 paper, which means that it won't fit into any scanner currently available to me. Instead, I took two photographs on my rather crappy camera, and stuck them together to more or less give you an idea what the picture is like. I might try to make a more high-resolution version over the weekend, when I'll have time to do so.
you know what that 'abstract fire' reminds me of?
Those spicy jelly beans. The ones that are speckled red and burn in your mouth like aniseed.
Admittedly, this is quite an old piece, but I still think it's pretty badass, so I'm gonna post it.
Another evil robot, this time it's a kinda robot interrogator/inquisitor.
world war two?
Amphetamines.
Until about 1950, they were standard issue to all soldiers in the military. They belived that the temporary mood-elevation and euphoria felt by the soldiers while taking these drugs was a good way to combat depression. It also made the soldiers more gung-ho and willing to put themselves in danger.
It wasn't until the drugs were taken out of the military before they actually discovered 'berzerkers syndrome'.... But that's beside the point.
These drawings do have a very 'japanese' vibe, don't they?
Nice stuff.
I really like the way your characters move... It's very smooth and co-ordinated.
(Rather unlike any of my attempts to use Flash)
Keep up the good work, and I'll look forward to seeing your animation when it's done. :D
