Oh, and if it were an issue, than it would be a big one. Little programming bugs make are viable mistakes, wrong acronyms makes the whole site look stupid.

Ok. So there has been something bothering me on the user pages for a long time and I just have to bring it up before I go crazy and destroy everything in a 50 mile radius.

Age/Gender:n/a , Male

At first I thought people were voluntarily entering "n/a" for I had not visited the user name creation page for quite some time. To my dismay, however, I recently discovered that it is not the individual that enters n/a for age, but it is in the system to put n/a for your age if you do not specify when you were born.

For those of you who are currently scratching their heads asking yourself why this bothers me, "n/a" is an abbreviation for "not applicable." Unless you are some kind of deity, I'm pretty sure the age field applies to everyone, whether you wish to provide it to Newgrounds or not.

Newgrounds staff, on behalf of everyone who paid attention in grade school, please change this as soon as possible to something a bit more suitable -- perhaps something like "n/p" which is the acronym for "not provided."

It's called the "Von Willebrand's Disease." His blood doesn't clock right, so if he gets bruises or scrapes than he just keeps bleeding. He wears the helmet because if he hits his head he could die.

He probablly was crying because he didn't want to die you ass.

Mabye I'm exaggerating a bit with the 50%, but a very high percentage.

He creates the basic shape of the gradient by taking the line tool, and curving the lines with the black arrow. Then, he takes a black and white gradient, changes the white side alpha to 0%, and the black side to the alpha he thinks is appropriate, and then and fills it in. He then deletes the lines and voila.

Search [on Newgrounds] for a tweening tutorial. That's where you start.

50% of the Newgrounds users automatically blam something if it is your first submission. It makes it really hard to get a decent score being about 200 people vote in the first hour or so. It's not fair, but it's true.

Newgrounds users also focus too much on quality rather than plotline.

To pass judgment with a 2.0 on your first submission, your submission has to really be about a 2.9-3.0.

and btw, even tho a scripted camera is useful (see Orriley.net for the info) it can easily be mimicked by a simple motion tween

The reason for the camera is so you don't have to use a motion tween. And they are not always simple. (ex: a big drawing)

It definately needs sound effects.

I also think the music is too tame. You need to find something more intense to go with the intense fight scene.

The easiest way to learn actionscript is to just mess around with it. Get an idea for a game. (ex: a side scroller) Then got to the actionscript thread on the Newgrounds board, and just mess around with it. That's how I learned.

Just remember to think logically, try to think it as a new language.

I just spent about 15 minutes trying to explain a clever way of doing it, but then I relized what I was saying wouldn't work.

I (pretty much) know for sure that there is no way in doing what I think you mean in a single frame. (unless you make the fade a symbol first) That's probablly a job for a funky action script. You should probablly go ask this in the actionscript thread.

Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

Is this what your trying to do, exept with gradients?
