Topic: Call out for XF Studios

Posted: 09/23/07 09:13 PM

Forum: General

Hello Newgrounders. This is about the fifth or sixth time I ever posted a callout for my website over the three years its existed. I'm calling out again this time, because, after a 6-7 month hiatus, me and a friend of mine decided to start it back up. My website, xfstudios.net has had its ups and downs, and I'd really like to make it a respectable site, one that actually does work related to flash, audio work, and art, rather than spending the whole time on the discussion boards, going on about the latest game they picked up, or what games they're waiting for to come out (I kid you not, that was all of the activity we had for a month or so before i closed the old boards). So I'm making a call out, to any web designers to help make an actually website for us, for any people who do audio work, for anyone who does digital art, or for any animators, come check out the site, and put out an application to join the team (I'm not very picky), if you can't do any of those, check out the site to pitch some ideas or scripts for cartoons, or learn how to do any of the above (I share what tips I have), or just check out the site just for the sake of it. And I too would like to get back in the habit of making some cartoons, as I haven't done any substantial work for about a year, and feel that I could pick up a lot from working with other artists. Well, in closing, I'd greatly appreciate it if some of you took the time to check us out, as I would like to put together a small collab as sort of a "Grand Re-opening", if you decide not to, well thanks for reading this anyways.

Thanks Much
Alex (aka X02)

Topic: Flash Team Anyone?

Posted: 03/02/07 09:43 PM

Forum: Flash

Hello all, I ran a small flash team at xfstudios.net, but somewhat recently, key members got caught up in different things, and pretty much went their seperate ways. I am just asking to see if anyone would mind dropping by, checking the place out and maybe joining up with the team. I'm planning to start a concept I had for a small, easy collab for users to get into the swing of things there and get a chance to participate. It would be much appreciated if you gave the site a look, and even if you commited to it. Anyone who wants to animate, actionscript, draw, or even build a website is welcome to work with us. Much appreciated

Thanks for the help, but i'm still freaking lost. I really don't have much in depth knowledge about how to utilize my server and i don't have the money to switch to one of their 'auto-install wordpress' servers. Can anyone out there at least help me set this up? I have minimal knowledge and don't have the time to do it myself

All of the code is done for you in the news CMS tutorial, so all you have to do is create a database, copy and paste per the instructions and boom! Instant blog/news CMS.

eargh... i guess its worth a try, if its just copy-paste

but if anyone is willing to help me set up one on my owen, that'd still be better

I've asked for help with this before, and the people who agreed to help didn't.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me set up a multi-user PHP blogger script on my site. The host it roxr.com, and i KNOW that they support MySQL, PERL, etc...

I do not have the time or the skill to learn to program this, and this is why I am looking for someone experienced. I would like something that integrates user pics with the poster, but will settle for a bare bones updating script. Note that it must be mutli-user, I am running a team site.

In exchange I'm willing to give banner/ad space on the front page for you, or return the favor in some other way. I cannot send any money, and i'm sorry if that's what you're looking for in exchange.

If you are willing to help my cause, please post in this thread, or contact me on AIM : X02Flash MSN: x02flash@hotmail.com -or- Email: x02flash@gmail.com(Aim/MSN would be preferred)

I recently got someone to script a multi-user php bloger (or updater) for my site in exchange for ad space, but he's been swamped and unable to get it to me. Would anyone like to script one for me? I don't have the time to learn PHP, and will trade ad-space for a php blogger. I've had my site down for about a month now, and I can't (more like really don't want to, cause it'd be unfinished and bad) re-open 'til I get this done.

i did update it in ASCII format, but the script i'm using says no edits need to be made, so i jsut uploaded as is
