Response to: Eugenics Posted 2 weeks ago in General

We're a long way from eugenics, trust me. Because, for milleniae, we believed that sex was about the connection between two partners, rather than the friction between their parts, as we believe today.

Gonna take another serious intellectual revolution before something akin to eugenics is ever popularized enough to the masses.

Response to: Most confusing story? Posted 2 weeks ago in Video Games

-Capcom games....

Clock Tower 2 and 3

Haunting Ground (All pretty crazy, with mythological and alchemical references that I didn't get)

-Namco games....

Eternal Sonata (just the fucking ending. They ported it to the PS3 with upgrades and updates, but still didn't explain the bloody ending. wtf namco)

-Konami Games....

Fatal Frame 2. After all your efforts to both escape the haunted village and save your sister, you end up KILLING her instead! I felt so fucked in the head after finishing that game.

Others

Modern Warfare 3. The story seems like they fell asleep at the writing table right around the end. Also what happened to Frost? That never gets explained.

You're complaining about a group of emotionally-challenged people (who you erroneously paint with a wide brush), all the while you have probably the same issues, just not as severe, in your own words.

For future references, there's a blanket ban on almost all furry threads, including all brony threads because of the flame that ensues. I am not a furry, but they don't deserve to feel discriminated in a place that's supposed to be welcoming to all. (see sig)

Response to: Fetishes you just dont understand Posted 2 weeks ago in General

It's actually pretty easy to get a fetish for anything. One dude wrote in to Michael Savage's "Savage Love" collumn about how he could only get an erection if he smelled peanut butter.

To do that, you have to associate peanut butter with a positive, sexual stimulus, like with Ivan Pavlov ringing the dinner bell for the dog experiment. The Red Commie Russian bastard, Pavlov, would ring a dinner bell for this dog. Then give him food. After enough times of doing this, the dog's mouth would water by just hearing a dinner bell.

It's kind of the same way how couples have a particular "song" that they call their own, usually because when they first fell in love, they had a rush of ooey-gooey romantic feelings. And they associate those warm fuzzies with whatever song was playing at the time of their infatuation.

Now, how does a guy associate pussy with peanut butter? I have no clue. I just know it's possible.

you know his actions not his story

It takes a serious sack to drive through an angry mob. Have you seen War of the Worlds?

also assuming the driver is a male is sexist

As I was writing that, I thought of leaving the gender up in the air, since we couldn't see the driver at all. The old stereotype that women are lousy drivers did cross my mind...but then I thought, this driver isn't being a lousy driver, he's being a purposefully lousy, aggressive driver. So I am betting he's male.

But yeah, an angry, ornery crowd is the last place where you want your car to suddenly stop working.

I made a thread like this a while back....I guess this is better than necroposting.

So I found a video I wanted for so long to post in my old thread, but was on the fence about, so it got placed aside

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfR9iY5y94s

The video is at it's worst when the guy says "I says to the man, are you trying to tempt me?" It's pretty bad as far as syncing the music with the situation on screen is concerned.

Good writers make good comics that endure, such as Bill Waterson and Charles M. Schultz. They are given an extraordinary opportunity to connect with millions of people every day in newspapers, whether we are sitting around the breakfast table, on break at work, relaxing after work, or curled up on Sunday with the full-colored funnies.

As soon as cartoonists realize they have the ability to touch people's hearts every day rather than just give 4 panels ending with a gag and a guffaw, that's when they become treasured artists. Ones whose work we continue to appreciate at 6, 12, 21...

Response to: Breaking apart as a culture Posted 3 weeks ago in General

I've thought of, in my braver moments, making a "Jonestown" sort of sanctuary to get away from Uncle Sam. There comes a time to rend, to cleave yourself out of a culture which basically exiles you in your own country. And that time may be soon, but instead of going off to some remote location, I'd rather do what the Indians do, and get my own reservation.

That IS a good song because of the range of moods it can support. Cheery, like at the end, to menacing, like when Frollo was about to put baby Quazi in the well, and always epic and grand, much like the tower of Notre Dame it's self.
Exactly. It's one of the few Disney movies that actually involves the antagonist trying to kill a baby.
I guess Frollo is my favorite villian in cinematic history because what he was doing, he genuinely thought was right. Keep in mind that back then, you could do almost anything if you do it in the name of god. Wanna burn down a portion of Paris under the name of god? Go ahead.

Not to mention he had a kernel of good inside him, which creates good 3-dimensional villains who are still villains, but have a bit of grey to him. This makes him believable, because there are no black or white people in this world; everybody has evil in them, it's just some wear it on the outside. His good, somewhat redeeming deed was taking in Quazimodo after he had killed his mother. (albeit by accident)

I also thought it was good writing how his obsessive passion for Esmerelda actually "consumed" him in the inferno his actions created in the cataclysmic ending.

Oh, back on topic.

I love Frozen and if you hate it, fuck you, I'll put razors in your cereal.

Response to: The Official Mlp:fim Crew Posted 3 weeks ago in Clubs & Crews

So, this may be a bit of a controversial opinion, but I think MLP could go on very well as Equestria Girls, and I got that idea after watching this short.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKBTsZgk1aA

Even in a contemporary and temperate setting like our own world, MLP still retains the main theme and message of the show: friendship and warm fuzzies. And I maintain, that it is actually enhanced by this new medium, using the real world.

In other words, Equestria Girls should leave Equestria behind....what do y'all think?

It's Namco, the same company that makes Soul Calibur, a game where the characters also get more and more ridiculous with each game. Except in Soul Calibur 5, they realized if the female characters breasts got any bigger, they'd be twice the size of their head. So they decided to make all the new characters children of the old ones, and well, it didn't sit well with me. Not to mention how freaking crazy the storyline got. No sense.

Anyway, even the best game series in the world milk their customers. It's just built into the nature of the free market.
