I feel like they knew this was gonna happen. The LOK staff have been pushing the envelope with taboo children's show content since season 1, which got pulled from Saturday mornings to Friday nights because of Aman getting killed off in a non-Disney way (most villains fall to their doom by accident, not get murder-suicided by their brothers)

Plus, as an animator, you put a lot of thought into every scene. The last scene of a series is no exception. Speaking of teh gays, there was a very short shot of a gay family in Disney's Frozen. While it's no big deal since it was so quick, when asked about it, rather than giving some boring answer about art and relative interpretation, a Disney guy said, "We knew exactly what we were doing."

And I think the same goes for this now famous scene in a nick cartoon.

Also, of important note, this marks the end of anything Avatar related coming from Nickelodeon studios. I watched Avatar since I was 12....I was Nick's prime target audience. So seeing this franchise give a send off is a bit, well, emo is too strong of a word. I feel melancholic. I SO wish they had made more, but money is king in the world of television.

Bringing the audience up to speed, NippleManOfMilk received a 30-day ban from Diki for....I really don't know how to phrase this while remaining both correct and non-inflammatory.

But he made a case that pedophilia (as defined by US law) wasn't far off from other alternate sexualities, such as homosexuality. I guess, in NippleMan's mind, you have a basic human right to have your sexual "needs" and urges satisfied, no matter what they are, or complications result from you getting your rocks off.

NippleMan shortly after hopped on an alternate account to walk around his ban and posted a basic reiteration of his "points" then proclaimed that he was leaving Newgrounds for good, for something about us not respecting different opinions. This "I'm leaving" thread was deleted, naturally, since it's a rule you can't make those kinds of posts and threads. I've been pinched for that too.

Well, Cuba has been able to trade with 199 of the other 200+ nations of the world. Castro, like all dictators, needed somebody to blame for his own economic mismanagement, so he pulled out the oldest trick in the soviet-communist book, and blamed America.

Bill Clinton made numerous pushes in the 90s to open up trade with Cuba. President-then Fidel Castro shooed and slapped them away because he needed his people to blame the big, bad neighbor to the north for their poverty rather than blame him and his communist policies for the rather laughable economy.

However, why Raul Castro has finally relaxed sanctions on his own country, I do not know why, and honestly don't care. But do you guys remember when the Obama administration gave out rice cookers in Cuba as a relief effort? Thoughtful gesture, except they had no rice to cook in them......lol
