WELL YOU SEE THE 600'S A FULL FRAME CAMERA, IT HAS A BIGGER SENSOR TO EMULATE 35MM FILM, WHICH LETS IN MORE LIGHT. IT ALSO GIVES YOU A DEEPER DEPTH OF FIELD. THE 5100 IS A CROP SENSOR, WHICH LETS YOU BOOST SOME FOCAL LENGTH IN LENSES DESIGNED FOR FULL FRAME CAMERAS.
Seriously, though, you can stay, this is for all photographers, as a lot of it is theory, too.

Anime's just a form of media, like any other. Although, granted, it tends to have some of the worst writing and tone inconsistency.

Photography General Thread! Posted July 22nd, 2014 in General

Hey, all. I was just fiddling around with my new flash last night, and I thought, "you know, I wish I had more places to talk about photography"; since it's not just my business, but a huge passion of mine. So I figured I'd start a thread where we can all talk about photography, gear, techniques, maybe post our work, newcomers can ask questions. A real community thing.

I run Nikon DSLRs, specifically a D5100, and I like older manual-focus lenses, I have a Nikon 35-105 with a macro setting, a Tamron 35-210 with a macro setting, and of course the default 18-55. I also have access to a D600, and that's a pretty rad camera.

So what do y'all run? I'd say cellphone cameras get out, but I wanna be inclusive.

People inherently want to matter, putting aside the survival instincts. We also have that fear of the unknown, fear of possible pain, and the unfathomable thoughts of what non-existence is.

Response to: What if EA bought Valve Posted July 13th, 2014 in Video Games

Wouldn't happen. Too much outrage would make it a terrible business decision, what with people cancelling services. And buying Valve would cost too much to justify that, even though Steam and EA work together, despite having competing delivery platforms.

I agree with all your points except this one, which I would assume that you mean Electronic Arts, in which Disney has no controlling interest whatsoever. (Correct me if I'm wrong) Disney has no real interest in buying any video game company that they don't license themselves (Kingdom Hearts) or are under their umbrella already. (Avalanche Games) As you said, Disney usually gives their child companies enough autonomy to act on their own anyway, so they wouldn't have much interest in EA to begin with.

That doesn't mean that Disney couldn't buy out any VG company if they want to, but I don't think that video game development is very high on their priorities list.

Huh, I thought they did. I remember this because of a Game Informer thing a while back. People were worried. This was back around the time of Dead Space 2, the article had a picture of a Slasher with a Mickey Mouse hat. It was also around the time they bought marvel.

No, the things he calls jokes are Obama policies.

But yeah, monster, I mean, the ATF couldn't come down on you for this thread (because it's a joke), but they consider a double barreled shotgun that can fire both barrels with one trigger pull a machine gun.

Also, just because they consider something a weapon, doesn't mean it's banned.

But people DO hunt with slingshots, granted, it's birds and squirrels.

You CAN shoot your eye out, kid.

YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH
I mean its cool if you guys like him though :D
Joking aside Big Boss is a really good character. He is obsessed with war but he also went batshit insane which came with some funny moments (literally wearing his dead comrades as jewelry) and had a very good progression from hero to villain.
Its not that i cant like him. I think its good that you people share what you like about the character you play and even find it funny.

But for me its like playing Star Fox, and then suddently his Dad is the one you play. And then its like, no i wanna play Star Fox.

I can almost see your point, and I'm not faulting you for your view, but to me, it's like you're suddenly playing Fox's dad, and he's a much better character with a lot more depth. I mean, Snake's pretty good, but the transformation of Big Boss is literally an epic in the true sense of the word.

Nothing changed, far as I know, other than Disney now sells Marvel stuff.

They also bought EA. Nothing changed. EA didn't get any better or worse.

Disney actually licenses a lot of adult products through their child corporations, they're pretty good about leaving things alone creatively, all they do that could be seen as negative (though I don't see it that way) is they bring characters into their Disney fold and incorporate them into their own stuff. But that doesn't really affect much.

I mean, it's not like club penguin was ever worth a shit.
