Alienware is just a provider. They use the exact same parts you can buy from the companies directly.

Hey, wassup everyone, just sitting here with a question. My dad just bought the newest installment of Garage Band for Macintosh, and I sat down with it for a little while. I've gotta say, I couldn't do very much without a MIDI keyboard (planning on getting one soon though). Does anyone else use Garage Band and have some good things to say about it?

That's very true, Firefox does cut down on spyware, but Avast! Antivirus is more for...well...viruses. There's a difference ;-)

Well, Alienware isn't a ripoff if you're rich. They overcharge quite a bit. Like I've suggested before, get the specs on the computer you're wanting, buy the equipment direct from the companies' websites, and put it together yourself.

Obviously, he stays on the portal alot.

Now answering the other question, if you get an ATI video card (or something) it usually comes with the ATI multimedia center which has a screenshot option. Just a suggestion if you happened to also be looking for a new vid card ^^

For me, so far, MS antispyware has picked up only 4 items, but it has real time protection tools, also. My computer has never run smoother.

Anywhere you go that does it for you, you have to pay for labor. If you go to like www.ati.com for your video card, www.asus.com for your motherboard, etc... you can get great stuff directly from the manufacturer and put it together yourself. If you have all the parts for your compy, it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to put it together, maybe a half an hour.

The best free web host is www.sitesled.com

They give you 100 MB of storage space and 1GB of bandwidth a day. Unfortunately, right now, they're migrating the servers so you can't visit it. I'd really suggest though, keep checking back. It's totally worth it and the support is very good. They're helpful and nice.

You may have an antispyware program that actually is spyware. I suggest getting Spybot: Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware SE, and Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta. They're all free and spyware free. Just google em.

I like Alienware as much as the next guy, but if you want your computer to run the best, I'd say put it together yourself. Find the stuff that suits your computer best and then assemble it. It would probably end up cheaper than Alienware and work just as good.

I've never used it, but I have heard great things about it. You can't deny that MS antispyware, Adaware, and sbybot aren't good, though.

The only thing I can think of is that your sound scheme may be doing that. If you go into the sound options on your control panel and scroll down, there should be a sound for Start Navigation...or something close to that. Check if that's the same sound. If it's not, I can't think of anything else.

I've found it to be bloody ineffictive though in my usage.

They haven't ended the Beta yet. My copy doesn't expire until December 31. Also, it may seem ineffective, I myself have only found 4 problems while i've had it, but it's what you don't see that counts. Most program writing has to go through about 50 checkpoints before it's written to your computer. MS antispyware is mostly about prevention.

Also, nobody mentioned the magic of Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta.
If you search around the MS website you should find it. Not only does it get the spyware, it keeps others out. It's a cool system. Windows is actually getting a little bit safer.

I agree with you there, but it's a better idea to use Media Encoder if you have it, because it doesn't take as long to convert, and you can convert to different qualities with video and sound.

That is if you have Service Pack 2.

It is possible, what you would need is an active connection to the internet 24/7 and a Linux/Windows server OS. I'm not sure if Mac has server stuff. I believe after you set your server up (I don't know how to do that...sorry) you tell your host the IP address.

Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

Well, I own a Dell Axim PocketPC, and it differs alot from a Desktop or Laptop. It won't run any programs on your computer, it has a different system. You can find some games for free, but most of them are demos. Some tools come with the installation CD, but if you want much else, you're gonna have to pay for it. These things are made to be organisers, unfortunately, not handheld gaming systems. You may be able to find a program like flash for it, but probably not flash.
