Topic: Looking for Background Artist

Posted: 03/07/08 07:44 PM

Forum: Flash

I'm looking for someone who would be willing to help me out with a cartoon project I'm working on. I'm approaching completion of character animation and am finding that I'm not happy with any backgrounds I can produce myself.

It's a cartoon with a fantasy setting so all the backgrounds are either inside or just outside a tavern.

Interiors just aren't my thing.

Here's a sample of the cartoon so you can see the character style I'm using:

If anyone would like to help out PM me for more info.

I'm looking for someone who could provide a couple of lines. I need someone with a good microphone who can do a halfway decent impression of Jessica Alba. It doesn't have to be horrible accurate, just close enough to be funny.

If interested please contact through my profile.

I'm looking for someone who can do a good Stan Lee impersonation.

It's not entirely essential, so I'm going to be extra picky.

the power went out while making a new .swf, that's why I lost it. >=(

I'll still hopefully be able to put something together, but it's unfortunatley going to be just 5 seconds instead of my assigned 20.

Bad news, I had a power outage and it corrupted my work!

Unfortunatley all I've got left that's salvagable is the rough version of the first 5 seconds.
If I totally cram, I can get that part done acceptably by tomorrow night, but I don't have the time to finish the rest of it.

Sorry! <=(

And I was mistaken earlier, if I'm testing the whole movie pausing it doesn't put the sound back into sync, it's still off just a little bit.

Well there are a few sounds that I've had problems with syncing that seem to work if turned into events. But I haven't tested it with the whole movie as apposed to just the scene. And I'll probably still have the problem of the dialogue going off a bit.

I appreciate the help though, I'll toy around with this some more.

I actually tried that earlier. And the sounds still mess up.

For example a few seconds before a scene ends dialogue from the next scene will start, and if that happens all the outher sound keeps coming quicker and quicker as well, and soon I've just got sounds overlapping each other.

I can't figure out what's wrong, and I don't know how to make it play properly. It plays fine in the .FLA file before I compress it.

I am completley stumped.

The only way to fix it is to stop the playback and start it again, but it's not long before it gets out of sync again, and I don't want to have to post a movie you have to keep pausing to get it to play right.

Origianally the movie was in several scenes, I combined them so it ended up being about a third the number of scenes but the sound was still off.

If I test a scene by itself it syncs up fine, it's just when I test or publish the entire movie.

I've tried everything I can think of, anybody have any suggestions?

I'm using Flash MX and having trouble getting the sound to sync properly. Usually it works fine, but I'm working on a rather long animation and once I publish it it gets progressivley more out of sych the farther into the animation it goes.

And, yes the sounds are set to 'stream'

By the end the sound ends up being about a half-second after the animation has occured.

Anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks in advance. -Matt

Topic: Simple question about resizing

Posted: 01/07/04 05:39 PM

Forum: Flash

at least I think it's simple.

I just made a Flash cartoon but it's all too big.
How can I resize the whole thing to being about 70% what it was?

I could resize everything individually but then I'd have to redo all the movement and everything, I assume there's some easy solution that I'm just overlooking.

Thanks for your time
