You had me interested around the point where you said you would play unsigned artists....
Thats what we mostly play, unless we have requests otherwise
All we have to do is email you correct?
Aye :)
Now do we email you a link? Or the entire .mp3/.wav file?
Either a link to where the file can be downloaded or the actual MP3
What is the demographic, or "target audience" of Nexus radio?
We have a wide age range, from the teens, to the 50's... I think our oldest listener is 65, the youngest is 14.
All the shows are different, and draw in different crowed, however ther eare some listeners who are there for every show and they like the variety of music and DJ.
How does Nexus radio help the audio artist community of Newgrounds?
We play your tracks, when people ask who it is, where they can be found, we inform them where they can find you... if the artist has a CD for sale we include a "link" in the mp3 to where the CD can be bought, and all they have to do is press the BUY NOW on the CURRENTLY PLAYING page and it links to wherever they are buying.
All airplay is good airplay, its all promo.. and we are building to bigger things too.. were just slowly trying to build ourselves up. We are eventually planning to have Gigs, clubnights, and festivals... I occasionally DJ at a Bar and do a Nexus Radio unsigned artist night, and we often get people interested that way too.
How many listeners can we expect?
Depends on the show, the night, the weather.. the maximum listeners we have had listening at one time is 30, in truth we average 15-20 max connections.. however throuout the night we hit about 50-70 different people, plus we re-run some of the shows and you get extra listeners that way.
We are still small, but we are building ourselves up... we constantly get new listners, some come once, some come every now and then, some come every week, some come to every show, and some are so dedicated that they even listen to the re-runs and autoshows.
Our primarly concern is promoting the unsigned artist, and we are doing our very very best to get to a financial position where we can host live events (like in clubs etc), get bands in etc etc..
We offer an interview service as well. which can be either live through teamspeak, pre-recorded, or live in one of the studios.
We had the semi famous Tony from the SKADOWS come do some live music for us... they were quite a big ska band back in the 70's mainly in europe and canada.. not so much england or america.
Anyway i am probably boring you to tears so i will shut up now. Hope to recieve some tracks from you soon!
