I didn't see what you did, I think that you forgot to add a link or something.

But concerning applications and programs for art on computer, I would recommend Photoshop or Gimp (this one is a free program).

For art tutorials you can find a lot of things here: http://art-tutorials.tumblr.com/ and http://www.deviantart.com/resources/tutorials/

In my case , ten years ago i was climbing in a tree to catch a parrot. As i did i accidentally slipped in squirel droppings. After a long dramatic fall i landed on my head. When i woke up , 4 years ago , i realised in astonishment that i could make artz but could no longer play the piano.

I personally worship the god Photoshop and the goddess Wacom. Each week I sacrifice 10 innocent pieces of paper for them, thanks to the mighty scanner of Mount Doom, and in exchange I get art skills. It's less expensive than giving your soul but not very ecological. :/
