I'll get straight to the point
My name's Val and I'm a 2D concept artist in a team who's currently working on a post-apocalyptic RTS game called Open Wasteland (working title).
So far, we're a team of 3 people and basically we could use a few more volunteers to work with us.
Now, by volunteers I mean people who are willing to work without being paid. If it has potential, we might put it on kickstarter, but the truth is, so far, we're learning ourselves and sharing a laugh or two, once in a while.
If you're interested, either leave here in the comment section or send me a private message with your portfolio (or links to projects you've worked on), what's your area of expertise (Artwork, coding, etc) and some way to contact (skype is preferred).
So don't be shy, give it a shot,
Cheers everyone,
V.

And maybe explain a little more about the project. Idk about everyone else, but I usually like to know what i'm signing up for, before getting involved in projects with a project lead by a team that readily admit they aren't sure what they're doing.
Aha, well, that's where you're wrong.
I'm the one who readily admits he's not sure about the technical stuff.
I'm the concept/storyboard artist and I know my position in the team and what I have to do.
I know the theme and I designed some of the characters. The ones I had a briefing for.
Anyway, I'm not sure what else do you want to know about the game. I could tell we're aiming for something that may look a little like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P86I5GgsLZM Of course, not that complex.
I wish this helps you decide.

Well, I honestly have no idea about the engine, I'm just the artist.
And we're not so far into it, there are a few concepts done, a rough draft for the story and a large part of the soundtrack and sound FX due to our surplus of musicians.
Hello newgrounders,
We're a small team of game devs from europe and the US and we're looking for some spots to fill.
Right now, we're working on a 2D sidescroller game called "The Factory" [Temporary title] with a victorian steampunk-ish theme.
Can see some concepts here: http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/o/2013/128/c/0/c0c60e25646a0 37c2e88020eb2ac872f.jpg http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/o/2013/128/4/0/40b462cb7a6b2 7ddd1bace0c88272b1a.jpg
We're not professionals, so don't expect any pay, except experience, most of us are learning and building portfolios.
Having fun with it actually.
We don't need musicians or sound FX, because we've got enough.
However, we could use:
-1 artist
-1-2 animators
-1-2 programmers
-possibly 1 writer
In the comment section below, please go ahead and introduce yourself or say how can you help the project. Or send me a private message here on NG.
Be sure to state how can we further contact you, if we're interested.
And do spare the comments like "I'm bored and I'll help you guys".
Thank you and good luck.
Hey guys, this is my other thread http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1338716
So far, I've put together a few people willing to work on this project, [mostly for the portfolio, not expecting anything too big]
but we couldn't find any decent animators for the team.
I thought this was the place to go.
If you're interested, send me a pm, or comment at the other thread.
Thanks,
V.

Try to look for animators who want that. So far, voice acting's not a priority for this particular project.

Here's a thing I uploaded today for a guy who wanted to hear something on the spot.

Sounds great, but what else can you do except composing music ? Are you good with audio recording/editing ? Or stuff like that

A musician on the team would do great I guess, but do you anything except composing music ? (such as audio editing, voice acting, etc ?)

This is my situation so far:
I'm an artist, going to college in ~a year, and now I'm looking for a team [artists, programmers, animators, etc.] to put up a little game. Maybe a 2D sidescroller or something. The reason ? Because by working on a project everyone will learn a few things and may even put something aside for a portfolio, while having a little fun with it as well.
Obviously, I'm no expert , but I'm informed about what artists need to do for a game. Here are a few samples of my work :

Deviantart
Since I'm not exactly a professional level, god-tier artist, I won't expect any professionals, either. Just a few creative, hard working guys, willing to make a decent project out of the whole thing.
For this game I'm able to provide with the following:
-character/creature/environment concept art
-promotional artwork
-story-boarding
-level design
-writing/ideas
-prop design
-visual library
-whatever else regarding 2D art [no animation]
In case you're interested, ask me anything, or give me a PM. I can't wait to get this thing started.
V.
EDIT:
Alright, to make the whole thing easier, if you're indeed interested in the project, I'd ask you to state the following the things in your comment/PM:
-a little introduction about yourself
-why do you want to be in this project
-a small portfolio, or a link to your previous works (qualifications don't really matter)
-most importantly, what can you provide for the project (soundtrack, audio editing, animation, level design etc.)
-if possible, means of contact other than PM on newgrounds
Thanks,
V.

I'm honestly delighted to hear that.
Now would you please be kind enough to share a few works ?
I know the standards for this project can be low but I can't just say yes to everyone.

Yeah, that'd be great, do you have any samples online ?
