O_O you are ORIGINAL AND AWESOME! do not change a thing! WOW

Thanks, this is typically my cup of tea. I'll probably do something with the text though, just haven't worked anything out yet. And also fix a few shading issues I recently noticed.

the hand doesn't really look like it's around the handle much, when you look at it closely. Kind of looks like it's in front of it or something.

that looks interesting but it judging by the pic it takes out those sharp corners, but I guess from here it wouldn't be so bad to zoom in and edit it up.

I just avoid this issue with pen tool ><

P.S. They are manga.

You know there not very good but you want to know what others think?

The kegs look dislocated in the first one. Need to bring those up so they look like they are attached to the rest of her. The arm could be extended a bit, and maybe throw in an elbow in there. I'm not felling the wings or the head at all. Maybe try to make the hair at least like in the fourth pic? Not just a bunch of scratches. And the eyes.. well.. moving on! ^_^;

You might want to work on giving the lot of these a decent mouth and chin. Saying it's manga really isn't an excuse. I'm referring to the profile ones, the first and the third. Also even in manga knees stick out, not concave inwards. Talking about the first and second one here.

Not sure if any of these are referenced, besides the fourth one from the anime, but you should try referencing a few pictures of real people to work out your anatomy even a little bit. It'll make your manga drawings that much better.

so far so good, crazy messy lines is that how you normally sketch things up or just the style you're going for this one?

Yeah that's how it normally starts when I have no idea for a pose or what I'm going to do. So I just play around until I get something. Too lazy to erase every spec >_<. But that's because I normally change this opacity to light and go over it. Then delete it.

update.

looks totally different lol?

fixed the treasure chest perspective, the correct lines are on the lid

I understand the perspective, but the bent leg on the chest looks longer then the one on the ground.

heh, join the club. I like many of the still life ones in here not so much the mythical ones. Good job drawing the fur in them. That's definitely something I don't like to do myself. I'm not really feeling the tattoo one. not sure why, I'd guess because I can't make it out to be anything.

I think you are missing the ball here man.. the idea is do make a poster for a upcoming NG event, flash, or whatever. Seems like you are trying to make a cover for the book. There's already one established.

unless you are trying to make a poster for the upcoming book, but that still would defeat the purpose..

The latest. I Was trying to do something a little more complex with the lighting, as if she is behind a window or something. This was a request / challenge / practice for me from a youtube user. I lost track of time on this one. I started back in January and have been at it off and on up until now, where I've been at it actively for the past few days. There was more of the picture than this but I cropped it due to laziness.

I'm pretty sure there loads of things wrong with this pic that I'll only see after posting it.

But anyways, I have most of this recorded from start to finish, but I'll have to compile all the raw data. For now here's a bigger version.

sooooo.. like.. how 'bout that Critiquing Thread? XD

maybe a requirement should be actual art that is drawn in some way or fashion? Not just text and/or simple designs. Not sure if crits can be applied to a simple design going for a simple design.. get what I'm saying? It's seems to derail into more a opinion and less of a crit.

Also maybe posting the reference image for referenced pics would help a lot :x
just my 2 cents

runs away.. and yes I'm scared to post in there! will check in later.

the perspective looks a little off in this. His foreground arm is longer than the other one, so then it seems like the foreground leg should look a little longer aswell, or almost about even at least. Depending on the direction. If that makes any sense..

I like the raptor realistic one with the lighting. Looks like a still from a good animation. Why do most of these characters have poses with their legs spread far apart and smiling? XD

Resume as you are imo. I'd like to click threads and not feel like I've wasted my time, unless I mean to do it... like how I tend to click locked threads first >.>; Maybe I want to see the reason it got locked, or maybe I'm wanting to see the snazzy mod comment and get a few chuckles out of it, or maybe I want to see if it was legitimately locked.

Whatever the reason is, from what I've seen, I can't imagine anyone having a "legit reason" to complain about the locked threads here. Hold down the fort as is until the art portal goes live. Probably things will have to change up a bit from that point beyond.

maybe we can direct a few people here. again, all this stuff still seems to apply >.>;
