Yes, I've been both sides the "anti-bully" and the "bully" (so my dick size is somewhere in the middle)

now the fact is, every kid has bullied or been bullied. you either took it out on kids, on animals, your pillow, what have you; but the aggression is unavoidable and lack of any sign of aggression is a sign of insanity or too much complacency which is indeed a problem in itself.

my first 'bullying' situation (or rather, defense mechanism) came when i was 12 years old. this girl really liked me, and i don't know why. i treated her brother like shit and even her like shit. i didn't want to hang out with her, ever. she was just around and she liked me - still likes me today. but i remind her that it wasn't right the way i treated her, and that she deserves a troo man in her life and all that bullshit.

the second time, me and my friend would team up basically because we were arguably the dorks of the grade and needed to do it. so apparently he would lash out at this one particular girl who was overweight at the time. at first i didn't really want to do any of that, but you know how people "follow" the mass thinking - i suddenly was insulting this girl and i felt like a retard after. so i wanted to apologize to her... eh, she moved away. and i'm not friends with the kid that started it to begin with anymore because he turned out to be a money-sucking douchebag.

another time really came from being online and I can't recourse the events of my e-bullying, but like i said on both sides - bully and anti-bully. that's how it works on the internet - leave yourself open to get bullied, and/or take part in it to "fit" with the culture. it's kind of sick.

so after numerous times throughout the years between when I was 12 to about 22 or 23, I was just full-on "feels?" - I would just not care about whoever it was I was talking to, and at the same time shit would start to offend me. it got so bad that reading a status update on facebook would put me in "feels" so I would stop engaging the people on the internet, stop taking the bait, stop putting out the bait.

NG is one of those grass roots communities and other sites build themselves by cherrypicking the best of what they find here.

Most gaming sites started this way, as well as any YouTube network focused on animation. Cherrypicking can be good for artists and devs if there is money involved, although other times it's empty promises and we all lose a little. The most frustrating is when the content is straight-up stolen and communities form around the site doing it, hence the frustrating with EbaumsWorld back in the day.

I had this beef with both Ebaumsworld and Albinoblacksheep - which are "dev cherrypickers" either making their own crap content and then using stolen stuff to "fill in" the rest.

Another thing is that ARFENHOUSE TOO!!! pointed out - even artists HERE compete for some kind of spot, and even money back in the day. We would support the author by clicking their Paypal button and sure enough many flashes ended up having their paypal removed from the .swf due to the content which was already in itself an illegal operation on part of the artist.

It's kind of like people keep forgetting what other people want to see and what kind of atmosphere should exist on the many playing fields on earth - if we all just work together, we wouldn't build anything. But if we keep things kind of competitive, make it so you really have to try to make something the viewer will like... it'll keep things interesting.

1: Image -> Mode - convert to RGB, OR 'Indexed Color'
2: EXPORT the image. EXPORT as a .gif.
3: There is a color table WHEN YOU EXPORT. You can modify THIS color table to "recolor" sprites.

I hope that was not that difficult to follow.

yes indeed. just bought this SNES and FF2, both like new. Although I'm hating what HDTVs do to the image of the game - seems like either a weird graphic bug or something cause it doesn't appear correctly.

There's really only 3 I could break it down to:

The Ultimatum by Army of the Pharaohs. 10 underground rappers on a 6 minute song, you CANNOT -- I repeat CANNOT challenge this song's production quality, how hard each verse is, or especially the rappers on board.

Eternity's Shylock - a song that is part of 'Homestuck'. This song reeks "way too epic" the entire way... seriously. Try to beat it in Beat Hazard or Audiosurf.

And of course... I can't get enough of this after a Throwback, and I'm sure there's very few contenders but why not Ultimate Showdown?

Did you know that the original Zelda 2 cartridge on the NES - the gold cartridge version - is the "rarer" copy of Zelda 2, while the gold cartridge version of Zelda 1 is the "common" copy? The regular grey with sticker logo Zelda 1 is actually the 'rarer' copy. Weird!
