Response to: serious discussion Kratos vs Goku Posted July 10th, 2014 in General

First of all let's discuss something I call "God Complex," and why this fight would not be so much a stalemate but kind of a one-sided battle.

In most variations of battle, a 'God Complex' is why many challengers to the lawful/chaotic good have a tricky time winning against the opponent but ultimately claim the victory. The opponent arguably realizes the potential of their full power, but overestimate its limitations and capabilities.

Goku in this off-shoot actually became a God, which was a variant transformation past the third stage of super saiyan. Kratos never truly ascended to his rank through his determination which is why he is named "God Complex." He literally acquired his power by other gods, which also refers to his ascension into becoming a god himself.

The difference here being that Goku does not always need to overcome a specific physical odd to beat his opponent. In this circumstance, Kratos would HAVE to use his mind in order to defeat Goku because his physical capacity would be exhausted in comparison. Goku is simply much faster and in some variants, equally as powerful as the "God of War" due to his mastery of ki.

Let me label it like it's boxing.

THE CHALLENGER
"Kakarot," Son Goku
- Fate unknown
In terms of physical strength, Goku is shown to be able to lift two tons on each limb while training on King Kai's planet, which had 10x the gravity of Earth. When transforming into a Super Saiyan, he can lift 10 tons on each limb easily. In Dragon Ball GT, Goku is able to lift up and throw the top of a mountain in his Golden Great Ape form (which is similar to what he can do as a regular Great Ape) and lifts half a city while in his Super Saiyan 4 state, though it leaves him panting doing so.

THE OPPONENT
Kratos, "The God of War"
- Deceased
Powers and Capabilities
He can subdue many large and powerful beasts and is capable of overpowering the Hydra, throwing the Colossus of Rhodes after it attempted to crush him beneath its foot, and preventing both Cronos and Atlas from crushing him. Feats of durability include falling from great heights and walking away unharmed, getting crushed, stabbed, beaten, blasted, and burned by various enemies and traps. Kratos also has useful skills that include climbing mountain and building, jumping with great heights, and swinging to another side.

(** Anything in bold are characteristics akin to the bobcat character "Bubsy" (from Bubsy 2, respectively))

So let me get this straight DBZ/GodOfWar fans - you defend Kratos as the victor when his abilities range from "falling from great heights and walking away unharmed" and "climbing mountain and building [sic]." Yet Goku in one of his most powerful forms (not his "God Saiyan" form) can LIFT THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN and even LIFT AN ENTIRE CITY, not to mention teleport behind the enemy.

At the sign of threat, here is what would boil over. Kratos' ego reeks for miles, and Goku can smell it. He approaches Kratos quite quickly, and with his abilities are able to assess Kratos' energy and power which can be felt by Goku to be "massive." Kratos and Goku meet, exchange their words; but with Kratos' ego blinding his determination to win this specific fight leaves him open to analysis by Goku's studious nature during battle.

Goku proceeds to "Advanced Saiyan" form, and explains the form to a Kratos who lessens the conversation to baby talk, and still attempts to do battle with Goku who at this point is using instant transmission to battle Kratos. While Kratos' superhuman speed is no match for his opposition much of the time, this ability for his opponent to teleport at will from all sides leaves Kratos in the red. Ah, but then Goku uses his Kamehameha wave.

Kratos smirks as Goku foolishly fires it, and the wave is deflected back. Goku is hit with the beams and upon learning that the Golden Fleece can deflect the attacks back, Goku instead attempts to UN-EQUIP Kratos who is blindly fighting a CQC battle using a very powerful sword that if actually strikes Goku will cause quite a bit of damage.

Goku simply needed to disarm the Golden Fleece, then fire the sword out of Kratos hands. During a grapple, Kratos would EASILY be overpowered even though his physical constraints are not prominent - the reason being that once again, Goku has already ascended to Saiyan God form and the battle between Goku and Kratos is quite obviously more of fighter's battle than a struggle for power. Goku would overthrow the anti-hero in grapple, and without the Golden Fleece, let alone the Blade of Olympus, Kratos would serve no match for Goku.

He may not be defeated by a spirit bomb, but he lacks the determination characteristic that Goku earned through his perseverance. Kratos also has little understanding of limitation, in that he has died twice though returned only once, whereas Goku has died twice, returned twice - and has even had to deal with closing off the planes of existence against a universe shattering superopponent.

With all this said, I think it's pretty self-evident that Kratos forced his way out of being dead but Goku actually had to DEAL with the fusion of the world of the living and the dead, not to mention is well-versed in using techniques lesser understood by his enemies. His forte starts by gauging his opponents strength, and even if Kratos went full speed against Goku at the very beginning it would make close to no difference due to the nature of limitation between the two.

And also, sure, Kratos has superhuman flying capabilities, but Goku can float and move freely and quickly in the air. Not to mention INSTANT TRANSMISSION while flying, let alone ground combat. This is just hard to argue against with Kratos' limitations in the wings of Icarus.

I hate "close knit" friendships, I hate circlejerk fuckfest friendships. All of them are poison, and of course, everyone (like OP) gets the wrong idea, or the wrong impression because their judgement on what others secretly feel for them is lacking in the 'curiosity' department.

Take for instance, online friends. Well, you can't just "take" them for instance. Online friends (unless you ever get to know them personally) always have this one tactic to flip a card on you, whether it's in a friendship/relationship deal. I cannot stand the trusting between people, and in our world today you're better off finding you own path than living on one someone has already made.

I think it all stems from the drugs people do, the television they mindlessly watch all day, the type of life they are living and not looking for, obsessing about friends or models or dead icons. These same people waste their life living the life they only read or watched about, their humor biased based on their inability to cope with understanding the reality they live in.

Response to: Universal Healthcare Posted July 7th, 2014 in General

well let's get something right here - yes Republicans are (for the most part) gun-toting rednecks but in some of the realest situations in America, CONSERVATIVES on the Republican side (and very few Democrats) present the situation as it is.

Due to the immigration policy, we cannot have "universal healthcare."

We opt for reasons to not come to America, and 1 reason is - "we don't want to provide for everybody, but if you're a rich foreigner or citizen, YOU BET WE'LL SAVE YOU!"

We also use to say we had the best healthcare in the world until France somehow claimed that title.

America is obviously a place where there are very little gears running up a big machine for a very big gear within. No one wants to inspect the little gears, those can be replaced quite easily with a pretty penny... but the big cogs are hard to replace, take time to build and install - and that's why there's no "universal healthcare." Not on a machine this large.

It's truly amazing when you think about it. America whole heartedly created this problem through its policy towards the middle east since the Ottoman empire fell.

Yeah, it's funny how liberals have gotten so obsessed with gay rights, but kiss up to a group that is super anti-gay to the point of killing them for it.

nailed the paradox

here's the reality - liberals advocate total insanity because they're aware it exists but don't want to talk about it. conservatives advocate a totally insane alternative (or none whatsoever) because they're aware those exist but don't want to talk about it.

and here's something scary. "extreme radical Islamists" (Sean Hannity's favorite 3 words) are definitely a product of conservative thought at its most extreme. their beliefs are held firmly, rooted deeply into religion and especially "tradition." and whereas we believe in role models, they believe in demonstrations - to prove to you what their view is. and meanwhile you sit there with that stupid look on your face going, "well none of this will happen to me, it aint none my concern!"

think again, blind-eye; you're part of the public - the people they discern. go ahead man - check this out. a lot of these key phrases can be swapped out with America's key phrases;

"American historian Ira Lapidus calls Islamic fundamentalism "an umbrella designation for a very wide variety of movements, some intolerant and exclusivist, some pluralistic; some favourable to science, some anti-scientific; some primarily devotional and some primarily political; some democratic, some authoritarian; some pacifist, some violent.""

a couple of these links are kind of jokes though

the actual opinion comes by post #3 now:

I've seen people use make-up for a zillion different reasons. Cover up blemishes, cover up scars, to "look prettier," to 'fit in,' to be unique, different, the same -- I think that we should be less concerned about the people that use it for their own personal reason, and figure out what it is that the make-up industries put in their stuff. Sure, there's plenty of non-toxic things out there, but for either crowd too dumb to read the warning labels (I'm looking at you, "look prettier" and 'fit in') - it can result in consequence.

But, this is my view to make-up.

Yeah, but historically speaking, men typically do it more than women.

the men are soon to be the ones being majorly criticized for not wearing skimpier clothes, being a whore, and especially not being up to date on the next fashion trend - because we just made women into men, and men are going to turn into women - bred for the sole purpose of birthing the future of the human race. The man shall be slipped into the man chamber for the rest of his life, the woman into a world of solstice filled with enough propaganda bullshit to keep an autistic child entertained for the entire course of their life.

Leave yourself wanting less than wanting more at the end of your thought, and your realization of your self-realization is that you ultimately do not suck because you based your expectations on yourself through others' "view" in or through you.

That is the issue, no, you do not suck. Take pride in wearing those clandestine clothes, wearing your wife's socks on the weekend, drinking beer in front of minors or especially smoking 1839 cigarettes; you deserved it, fellow. Not them.
