4.07 / 5.00 13,902 ViewsAfter a strong battle, it's clear who the winner is in our first round.
Knox entered strong, showcasing his live moves and his witty sarcastic humor, but his attention to the battlefield grew weary as he jumped off the platform and died! Poor Knox. I hear Ebaumsworld enjoys your kind.
Jester also fought strong, equal to power to the veteran Knox. He takes too much damage however, and accidentally touches a rare Amar bomb and explodes and also dies! Nice try Jester.
It seems as though Godinacup was entirely idle for the duration of this battle. His followers promised to show up as well, but it's clear nobody was at controller 3. In fact, if Godinacup wasn't upstairs masturbating their life away on sites like YouTube and Albinoshitsheep, he may of had a chance. Jester silently pushed him off the stage each time.
Our winner, who won in the style of Luigi Winning By Doing Absolutely Nothing (because he was banned from the BBS) -- ManDeep!!
@Cronizone nor @Monster-64 will be joining our battles, because the programmer of this really shitty game is too lazy to open Photoshop and send out the press release forms to get them on board the legal way. There's always room in the updated, better, more regular Newgrounds User Beatdown Hyper Turbo Arcade Ultra Edition Round 2 Fight Mode! But good news... Bit did an impressive job adding himself (which was a dick move bro) - nonetheless, he will join the melee! ERRR, the Beatdown, sorry. I could get sued for saying that
ANYWAY TL;DR MANDEEP WINS THE NEXT BATTLE
Here's a real challenge - in a battle between @supergandhi64, @SCTE3, @Yurgenburgen, and @Amar... who would stand the strongest as the finest poster this side of the BBS game disc?

The residual effects of a potential meltdown far outweigh the benefits. I would never vote nuclear power. Let's find out if cold fusion really works first, come on guys, it's worth the century of research just to debunk that it probably doesn't work.
Other than that, the huge amounts of unused land in Nevada and the great plains would look great if we turned it to solar farms. Or even the great North Woods in Maine... then again, people would cry because we're defacing the land for giant solar farms.
WELCOME, NEWGROUNDER!
In this thread we're gonna have ourselves a BEAT DOWN. Yup, a good ole fashioned southern-style wrestling match, composed of your favorite (and probably least favorite) artists around the globe. And by globe, I mean this website we all religiously use because WE'RE F*@#$@! AWESOME
The way this works is we will basically have an elimination game based on the selected challengers per "fight." The challengers can be characterized by not just their forum presence (if any) but also overall greatness and obviously the fanism surrounding the challengers. You say their name, give a little short description why Mandeep would wipe the floor with 90% of this roster and that's 1 vote for Mandeep. Simple as that.
There are 25 challengers, welcome them all ladies and gents:
@stafffighter, @tomfulp, @wadefulp, @krinkels, @lepy, @johnnyutah, @knox, @luis, @newgroundsmike, @supergandhi64, the one and only V, @theweebl, @pikanjo, @paragonx9, @egoraptor, @finalee with @stormybutterfly as their down B assistant!, @jester, @legendaryfrog, @scte3, my fave @Yurgenburgen, @mandeep, @amaranthus, @amar, @ama I don't even know what you call yourself anymore amaranthus, @wahyaranger, @godinacup, and of course - the legend, @thor.
Our first 4 challengers are Knox, Jester, Mandeep, and Godinacup. This is simple:
Who would you think would win this battle of the egos?

@TheComputerHermit god damnit QUESTION SNATCHED
If America never got involved with giving the Jews the Holy Land and calling it Israel instead of giving it to the Muslims, what effects would it have on America's interaction with the radical Muslims/terrorists? Try to include events like 9/11 in your answer.
Perhaps reversed situation - with America's non-interventionalism and nobody to aim their guns at in protest, the U.N would have probably stepped in asking for America's assistance. The interventionalist policy of America at the time would have called into effect the (proper) foreign policy in that they have no business in areas outside the country. An alliance of the U.K, France, Germany, Canada, and possibly a coalition developed in Israel would then create a trade union/organization to combat Muslim extremists that were bordering the country, less hoping for an invasion.
NOW, "if Michael Jackson had not become popular, where would pop music be today?"

law officials need to know that "curbing" the crime of the city will probably have close to little impact if the general population of detroit is poor. I don't get city planning anymore, do people just play SimCity and replicate the situation of what's going on? you can't have like 12 residental blocks surrounding 2 industrial zones and no fire dept/PDs within a close range, your crime rate will go so red that communism itself will be jealous

it isn't quite like that I don't think - it's that people are unhappy where they are, and the rich can't wrap their head around the fact that people cannot find a 'fitting' job for the life of them because they don't like to leave their sphere of comfort.
In fact if you want to know a very interesting "illegal" mechanic (which I do not promote as it is QUITE illegal) - a drug dealer in rural America makes a lot of money which the IRS does not see. This drug dealer can live off a friend (or fiend off a customer as a "friend" or "roommate" but not be on the official lease) - the kids can be elsewhere, they can say relatives cannot assist them and obviously baby momma/baby daddy is fucking and living with someone else as usual
This drug dealer will racket anywhere from $100 to $1800 a week depending on their cumulative sales (and drug type), their food stamps effectively pay for their food because they are quote "HOMELESS, WITHOUT RELATIVE HELP" etc - so they get free funds from the state and taxpayers despite having an income that probably dwarfs a 40-hour a week manager at a supermarket or Gamestop or what have you.
They get $140 a week minimum to be an illegal money parasite that does not need to claim taxes or even really work hard to support their own life as long as they swallow the bitter pill that they cannot own a new car (unless they buy it outright which is not difficult for these kinds of people) nor can they actually have health care... oh wait a second, the Obamacare mandate means everyone can have it as long as you can afford it!
Right, so the Obamacare shit being afforded, the drug overlord guy gets to sell his drugs and keep his earnings and not report to IRS or pay attention to responsibility, and he gets food stamps! Wow, what a pat on the back for this fine upstanding guy. Tell you what, let's give him a spot in office for all the hard work he's done!

And I'm assuming that it's not that bad if you live in the coastal areas of Maine. I think the only sizable town there, Portland, is near the sea, judging by its name eh? If you live in like the interior of Maine, of course it's going to be cold as fuck.
am I wrong at all?
yes I'm lucky to live in a sexist, conservative, in-debt wedding destination hot-spot filled with tourists from massachusettes and frenchies from quebec in the summer/fall hogging the entire fucking interim of portland's routes 295 and congress street when i am trying to get a god damned coffee and go the fuck home!! FUCK!!
believe it or not but Portland is generally only a few degrees colder when it's very close to the sea. I live in the mainland where yes it does get pretty cold, the kind of cold that shrivels your dick to the size of a lindor truffle when you're trying to take your dog out and you try to piss on the snow (it's a Mainer thing).
the mountain regions are also far colder, the mountains in maine get to like -10 degrees on a 'warm' winter day where the mainland is like 22/25 degrees fahrenheit
Food stamps isn't the broad problem of things, but we don't like it as "conservative Americans" because the concept seems to promote laziness. Like why go out and get a job when you can just get food stamps? Apparently, about 30 or 40 years ago when food stamps were implemented it was seen as an embarrassing thing to use food stamps to buy food at the supermarket (loosely quoting Howie Carr on that one).
I think if you really need the help then go ahead and get food stamps, but the fact is - 10 cents a day dude, that's a lot compared to the fact rich people pay in the same thing with their dividends, 10 cents a day to a person with 100K a year is way less different than 10 cents a day to a person with 25K a year, no kids.
And also, it's using other people's money to fund someone else's "need" which is already a grey line. @KillerSkull has the right idea - some people are using it as a means for what it isn't, like eating donuts in their trailer all day, or buying tubs of butter and melting it down to use as lube for sex (not even fucking joking, I've heard this story twice where I live).
It's just wrong altogether, instead of promote the idea of people going out and making something for themselves they have to rely on the system. I'm not saying THAT'S wrong but it's wrong that people aren't self-reliant and either abuse the system or live by it like it's their brand of constitution.
And I'll be honest, I'm one of the few people that are actually kind of going hungry but won't rely on this bullshit because the consensus of people should not have to pay for the insane amount of money I get to use at the grocery store. (you get well over $100 in some cases + extra food stamp EBT cards if other people sign up with you)

You can't really "see" ghosts; according to a lot of paranormal researchers and experts (apparently there are experts in this particular field; god knows why), these are apparently visitors from beyond and/or are in this universe but cannot generally be seen as they don't seem to exist on a physical plain like most living matter. So unless you're some psycho schizophrenic douchebag, you can't really see ghosts.
You can also allegedly see ghosts on film (which is why sometimes there is no reaction from the guy recording, his eyes aren't on the preview image on the camera). It's apparently a similar situation to seeing the light on a remote turn on, which is some infrared light. Well, having an infrared shape as a former human being... ? Pretty farfetched, but for the superstitious it's certainly one explanation to "seeing" ghosts.
On the other hand, you can feel ghosts and sense paranormal abnormalities. Anyone that has not is obviously hiding the truth, after all - we all enter the stage of death and there is no running from the inevitable. Everybody dies, and House M.D ended. Do you even wonder if the people you talk to aren't already dead? In a relevant world where everything matters, we oddly treat it as if we are already ghosts - wherenothing matters, and nothing drives you to figure out the truth of the world you live in.
You see I was always skeptical about the paranormal, the world of the dead; spirits and ghosts and things that don't seem to exist. I've told this story before on this forum and elsewhere in matters of off-line conversation, but I have had experience with a ghost. This ghost was apparently the form of either my grandfather or great grandfather; whoever's previous existence was summoned to my aunt's house. While we were discussing their histories I was asking her questions about them, when she talked about the construction site/pit she lived near.
Apparently my great-grandfather was a construction worker/mason of some kind; he built several houses around where I live now and actually built one of the houses where there was a standoff with police and the shooter killed his own mother. My grandfather was not a reputable man, and likely got that from his father as well in that they did not respect women - this "trait" haunting a house is not unknown in the paranormal world, but just one odd little note.
All besides that, everything was going well in our historical discussion about him until she got up to talking about the Dunn family suicides. It's a pretty bizarre world here; my great grandfather's brother committed suicide by running his car in his own garage. My grandfather also died by self-caused traumatic injury and no one could help him. Now finally...
My great grandfather allegedly had some troubles. It may have been financial issues as C.W Dunn was not a popular construction business, and things were likely looking very grim. I don't think he took the news of my great uncle dying well either, so apparently one day he walked out in his own construction site and shot himself in the head with a handgun.
When my aunt told me all that I was like wide eyed and like, "wow!" She talked about her side of it and at the end we kind of just laughed things off to "curve" the conversation... throughout our conversation though, the power had flickered. And when we had finished talking about this - the power went out for a few minutes. I know, it's probably just a coincidence.
I had been having some odd depression for awhile that I went to a therapist for consultation about, had some drug problems, girlfriend situations (as is the norm), etc. And I always felt bugged about something; after that story though, things seemed to have been lightened. I didn't feel a huge burden on my conscience, didn't think much of the little things and I managed to forget about most of this stuff altogether.
It's not always "seeing" a ghost, it's imagining that someone's just always hovering around... hanging on to you until you "find" something out. Ghost boxes are an odd idea, but it worked for me.
Make more relevant threads, otherwise I want Dalexj1337 (Alexborn?), Monster-64, SCTE3, @Yurgenburgen, @Supergandhi64, @WadeFulp, and especially @BrenTheMan

Lil Wayne sucks, yes, but this thread isn't Hate Lil Wayne Fun Time hour especially if this track he made 12 years ago makes you guys look like unpopular little boys at a lunch table. COME ORIGINAL.
@Xenomit, I am not one of Lil Wayne's fans nor do I ever claim to be but even I will say his earlier work was more heartfelt - probably because he wasn't in a league where money could buy him his fame. And @Sekhem I don't know about him being "the most naturally gifted lyricist that hip-hop has ever seen (before or since)."
Before, yes, since?
Hell no dude, are you crazy? What about the hip hop artists slinging on the things you're too familiar with? I'm not trying to blur the line between hip-hop and rap here, but the topics artists like Lil Wayne talk about aren't even on par with the shit Immortal Technique talks about. Lil Wayne might of had a Gift of Gab [sic] but he does not speak about anything real anymore. He's not about being heartfelt at all at this point. And more importantly, the society that cherishes him is one he doesn't want to lose... so he never intends to sing or rap for anyone but himself because he'll risk that fanbase the moment he dabbles in anything requiring forethought and real lyrics.
