Response to: Underrated NG Users Posted 7 days ago in General

@misterscoops, @headphoamz, @shrinkz, @Sebzx12, @JessTheNoob (most of her work is not on NG), @Djjaner, @JonnyAtma, the MOST underrated NG user is easily @Misteroo (he is probably dead though)
Special mentions: @TheGhostofMarz, @mysteriouslila, @NekoMika, @BlackHaku @fourchinnigan, @Exorz, @EASTBEAST and @stevemyster

every one of these artists have some great content and yet, less than a thousand fans; it might be why some of them aren't quite on NG anymore. and a good majority of these folks are on my Favorites for a reason

I know 8 NGers, because I know them personally. And personally, I'd prefer to keep the circle to about 8, Colin.

The granddaddy of popular web flashes, if I do say so myself.

Pico is a great Flash series, but it wasn't the granddaddy (and I don't think any one site/series can claim that)

At 1/25/15 06:24 AM, NewgroundsNation wrote: ...flash series of all time? When Krinkels first conceptualized Madness did he know how big of a hit it was going to be?

No, if memory serves me right he just wanted to make something about dudes killing eachother because he figured it would be funny (which it was).

They are always creating and sharing new content with each other.

They do this because most of these kids are actually in other countries, many of the original fans of Madness in the hey-day of 2003/2004 have long since moved on from Madness projects... except this old fart. I still want to make a winner.

Can you guys think of any flash series that can rival Madness? What do you think about Madness?

Xiao Xiao-styled stick figure animations are just as popular globally if not more popular in places like Asia. "Awesome" styled animations are also on the rise for other countries as they spew their own version of Egorapturez.

Arin also cries because he realizes people saw through his schtick and can't take the criticism and that's why he doesn't actively post on Newgrounds. Suffice to say he's welcome back but a lot of people don't welcome him back at the same time.

Response to: cgi is superior to 2d animation Posted 8 days ago in General

fuse 2D with CGI and you get masterworks like Invader Zim

focus too much on one medium in the project, it looks a bit boring and kind of lazy

also 3D animation is nothing without 2D textures making up the project so there's that

I really hope one of the mods breaks through your window and destroys your computer for making a thread about a site in the title that apparently infects computers with adware. Hell is not enough for your soul.

Response to: Is Tumblr void of community? Posted 10 days ago in General

I know this question is out of place Tom, but can I be your friend on Facebook? Plz?

Either way though, Tumblr doesn't have a community because it doesn't want a COMMUNITY driven initiative. It just wants the users of the site to drive the site's INITIATIVE so instead it does have a community but they do not communicate to eachother. This blurs the line between trolls and 'actual' users and this kind of drives a totally blank community that just use the site instead of get involved.

I think Tumblr is one of the worst websites ever invented, and no offense to people that actually use it but I don't understand what its purpose was ever for. It just seems like a simplified Imgur with comments removed and page load times out the wazoo.

are you aware Megaman 8 and 9 were released just a few years ago and are direct throwbacks to the original 6 Megaman games?

are you also aware Maverick Hunter X is what most people actually wanted from the X series after X 1 through 3?

are you also aware Maverick Hunter X2 has been under covers?

Capcom does enough for fan service, but they rarely churn good originals. Come on Wegra.

Anyways, I got tired of Beat Hazard quickly, I don't have the patience for repetitive games anymore.

I just conquered another Beat Hazard high score for world record (as another ship), this time I played for half the time (a little over an hour) but my god, was it very hard to maintain my cool. Lost all my lives and had to go 20 minutes on Suicidal. Now I know what being hardcore is really all about.

Hitting a billion points in an hour on this game is also a lot more challenging than it sounds. My previous highest score was 900, I hit 1200 million and threw in an advert for my Newgrounds.

Check it kids.

Not that I'm really adding anything to your original post, but I'm 24 and I have no particular desire to try and get my licence again. Admittedly I do still live with my parents (which doesn't have quite the social stigma here that it has in the States, though I'll be the first to confess that I have "social problems") and so I might not need to shop as much as I once did, but even then it was bussing and walking, trains for going further afield.

I'm assuming you live over in the UK, NuScarab? In Europe I was told that you don't even need a car to transport yourself around, unless you need to go to specific far-out places where public transportation exists.

In America, specifically various states (like Maine, Texas, Arizona, Alaska), you NEED a car because public transportation are essentially taxis and transportation services which are not cheap at all. $344 Euros is just enough to cover 40 taxi rides in most "small" trips in Maine.
