and I'm just informing you that you're just really late to this whole "where's chat" party, because chat went down loooong ago and a minority of us don't plan on its return but nobody really knows what the deal is. there's been no discussion by staff about it, screenshots, or anything in general - there IS a BBS which is quite active and quite diverse, along with a Google Hangout page; there is also various people on Skype and a couple IRCs

Just a fair warning, I don't suggest using the IRCs

i guess i simply see the site losing some of what i used to enjoy about it. but theres still a lot of submissions and i suppose its still pretty popular.

for some it's great now because a lot of the dicks have moved onto YouTube, the social recluses moved on to Bungie, SomethingAwful, Reddit, Imgur, and Tumblr or just vanished; honestly, 2015 has been a bit annoying but way better than 2003 - 2006's masturbation tit fest threads and -I- don't miss it

what i did like about your post was the idea to download all the flash files myself. i wasnt trying to say it as if someone else should do it and now im inspired to make my very own newgrounds library on my pc. a nice collection of all the game, movie and audio submissions. its easy enough to find the location of the flash file in the webpages source code so i suppose im going to start downloading all of the submissions. thanks for the inspiration for my new project

the thing is while you will have the source files, to not run it on a website where the dimensions are pre-determine will result in improper sizing problems and you will not have much of a workaround for this; some games will simply not work because they are locally hosted files or hooked to site servers, etc

so, good luck, but I don't suggest it

a message to tom fulp, if you do decide to destroy this site you should put every flash game, movie and art submission into a compressed file and make it available for download somewhere so we can play all the flash games on our machines.

hey genius, my animation "The Saviors 3" is actually about what you just said, and is a Flash movie/game/partial art submission all in 1 with the plot you just wrote as a "message" to Tom Fulp

i imagine even if compressed the file would be huge but i would love to have the fossils of what used to be newgrounds once it is gone, i already do this with the games i wish to play. to avoid the terribly long ads, what i do is find the flash files location in the page's source code and download it to my computer so i can play the games offline via flash player on my machine.

Maybe you should do it, because you feel the need to say what you're entitled and owed as a respected user in our community whom we hardly know and we'd respect you if YOU did all of it for us and not for yourself

i dont have time to sit through ads which is why i personally download each flash file to have the games for myself.

upgrade your account and you see no ads. simple as that

what is sad, is that i prefer doing that sometimes rather than visiting newgrounds to play the games. sad to see you die newgrounds, but we all see it happening
