Draw your interpretation of the goddess Eris, eating a hot dog bun.

Hail Eris.

My turn. Suggest something and I'll draw it. Pretty simple.

Too poor? Bollocks. Download GIMP or some other free art program.

Also, that ^_^/// thing makes you seem like a twelve year old girl.

That's pretty bad, guy. Firstly, his face is just... messed up. Even for a scarecrow. The shadows are barely distinguishable from the base colour - use darker, more saturated shadows. I also suggest you stick to flat backgrounds until you've got your foregrounds down. And for the love of god, stay away from lens flares.

Not my thread, but... I'm going to draw this. What do you mean by 'technologically advanced' exactly?

I love the song - it's rather melancholic. I made a pic just for this. It's a bit small.

I've done a few colour scheme challenges - the template consists of six squares, each with five or so colours. You can use only the colours assigned for each square. Very fun.

If one doesn't have a filter mask, is there anything else one can do to block out the fumes of aerosols? I mean, I could put a rag over my face, but that only blocks the particles, which I'm not terribly worried about. Any thoughts?

Yeah (:

I like it. The arms look a little too short, and the crotch should be higher, closer to the lines of the hip bones(or whatever they're called). I hope to see more from you.

Psychadelic. I can definitely tell you made this shit on drugs. It makes me feel like I'm on drugs. I love it. I love the variety in line width and the colours. My favourite piece is the face that's... oozing? I don't even know!

Fan-fucking-tastic, really. I'd like to see pieces with more colour.

Response to: i think i got better Posted July 30th, 2011 in Art

The ear looks fucked up - almost not an ear at all - and the mouth is too low. Could also do with more interesting colours.

GIMP is a satisfactory free program. I've heard good things about Photoshop, but not the specifics of how it's better than programs like GIMP. I really like SAI, though I only used a trial version.

Not bad. The line weight and its variety is good. Breasts are placed too high, though; the cleavage is where the collarbone should be.

Looks much better. There's something off with your shading in general... it sort of looks like you use the burn and dodge tools. The monsters are very creative though.

Love this sketch, reminds me of Modigliani. Check him out - he has quite interesting angles for long necks.

Thankyou. I did - some of his work looks childish, with the mask-like faces and oddly-placed eyes. I noticed that in addition to elongated necks he drew a lot of long noses. Very interesting.

I'm more a fan of Giacometti and Munch.

Here's a piece made for an art trade. I like it, though the hands need more contrast with the undershirt thing.

I'm digging the astronauts, Knoc. Very cute. Only thing that bugs me is the hands of the guy on the left, and his... bag sash thing? I dunno, it just seems like it should end in a bag at his hip or something.

Keep up the good work!

Haha, that happens to me too! Also, when I see letters/numbers that aren't black(a neutral colour) or the grapheme's corresponding colour, I get a sharp pang of "wrongness".

Anyway, to OP: the picture Sycret is confusing. What's with all the colours? Personally, when I listen to music there's a predominant colour and maybe one or two secondary colours, and some differing values of those colours. But Sycret is all over the place. The plasticy feel and the neon makes me think pop with a bit of techno, but the black and deep blue speaks more of alternative rock/Breaking Benjamin sort of music. The yellow could be really high pitch music or gospel... and I don't think I've ever heard green music. So, I give up. What's the freaking genre?

Part of the sketch for the new Kamitsure pic~ I can't decide what she's sitting on, though... it can't be the floor, because of the pose.
