I found something interesting. If you click anywhere on the screen and press tab (multiple times to cycle through), it will show you where all of the clickable items are.

I watch more anime than I read manga, but the Berserk maga is a lot better than the anime series, which is kind of rare imo.

I got it to work, but I had to do something totaly different. I took off the start label in the intro scene, and I added another frame in my preloader scene called start. Then I changed the button to have this code:

on (release){
_root.gotoAndPlay("start");
}

I guess it didn't like to specify a scene in conjunction with _root as someone mentioned earlier. Thanks a lot for your help, everyone!

I actually thought about that before, but when I tried it I got the same result.
Also, in reply to an earlier post, I do use ctrl+enter every time I test.

So I have my nice little preloader that jumps to another frame with a play button when it's done loading (I basically just modified the NG preloader). On the button I applied this script:

gotoAndPlay("intro", "start");
}

I have a scene called intro and the first frame is labeled start. I can't figure out why it won't play. I am very new to Flash so can someone please help?

There are so many really good games for SNES that it has to be Nintendo's best console.

Who said they liked Mario RPG? That game required little or no thought to complete. I like RPGs with lots and lots of items and spells and not so much of a set storyline. In Mario RPG there were only a handful of weapons, in which the next is better than the last (sadly the weapons in Chrono Trigger were like this too =/ ). Also, Mario RPG basically pointed out where to go next (follow the yellow, flashing, dotted line, super fast road. wtf was that all about?) FF games were far superior in that respect and at least Chrono Trigger had a good storyline (not to downgrade it at all).

I LIKE YUGIOH! (oh god! please don't flame me!) I am gathering the impression that this isn't the most popular club at Newgrounds so it's one hell of a way for me (a NG newbie) to start out.

I have been playing Yugioh for about 7 months now, and I have a decent deck considering how much I have spent on cards (about $50 in total). I know some people would go out and buy a single card for that much, but I guess I am not that financial. I mostly just buy the 10 cent common cards that I need to make my deck better.

I also like the show. The duels are very cool and even suspenseful to watch, anticipating what card combination they will use to succeed. The only thing I dislike about the show was Dungeon Dice Monsters and the constant reruns.

To be honest, I probably won't be able to participate as a full-time active member (if made a member at all) simply because of my demanding job in web designing. I just started learning flash and already my costomers want sites in flash. I'll try to remember to come around here every now and then to talk about Yu-gi-oh!
