Ugh, I saw this before Sandy flattened my state, and no one says 'boo'? Have you tried different memory or fewer sticks of the PNY memory? As i recall, that company was kinda hit and miss. It'd be funny (sarcasm) if the whole thing were correctable by a simple BIOS update.
Have you checked all the connections? Sometimes cases and boards have a bit of a mismatch, though it seems rarer now... though the number of stupid little wires to connect keeps increasing.
Just voted for third-party candidates across the board 15 minutes ago.
My vote's gonna be wasted anyway, thanks to the majority of voters in my state, who constantly choose the same party decade after decade!
Electing politicians in a two party system is like changing a baby's diaper. If you leave the diaper (or party) unchanged, the baby will stink, the baby will get sick and then the baby will die. Two choices isn't really a choice at all, so we're fucked anyway.

Now, seriously guys.. I think someone up there really hates you.
Well, it did flatten Atlantic City and stopped the New York Stock Exchange for two days (while all around, darkness and cold), perhaps this is 'Divine Judgement'? I had 6 days without electric or power. Of course, the generator didn't show up till day 6. There is nothing that is quite as disheartening, as the constant cold.
Folks are driving from the Bronx, to as far south as Great Adventure, just to get a tank of gas! The military tried giving out 10 gallons apiece to civvies, but that shit stopped the same day it started! Last I heard, it was for emergency workers only.... I had heard the Feds were going to distribute 300$ checks to those effected the worst, but that was a Twitter hoax thing that got some radio air-time, and was glumly redacted today.
This storm was different than Katrina. If the Tri-State area had an infrastructure like New Orleans, it would have been much worse. As it is, whole projects near the coastline are just not there anymore. There are still over a million people without power or utilities of any kind. Robocalls in NJ notify ppl who still have landlines of where the refugee/warming centers are.
Tonight, it will go below freezing, and on top of 6 days without heat, things are getting very desperate - whole towns are still without power!! I'll post some pics in a day or two if this thread still lives. As more and more ppl get back on the grid, this is the only way we'll know what's going on! With gas short, it's hard to figure out what's happening from town to town.
Most of NJ is now back on the ration system. If the last number of your license plate ends with an odd number, you can get gas Nov. 1, 3, 5.... I was a little shit when they did that during the energy crisis.
Trying to get real useful info from the radio was a real drag :( I did see Marine 1 fly over with Obama and Christie on board, but other than that, I've seen no assistance from outside of local towns and imported linemen and tree-cutters (and I thank God for their service). Another lesson learned from Katrina: The Lord helps those who help themselves.
Also I heard that all spoiled food must go to some kind of recycling instead of the usual trash.... there's so much, it could become a health problem if tossed normally. No word of packs of stray dogs yet, but looting pretty much happened the day after it hit. Haven't heard much of other crimes, but I'm sure there are by now; it's begun to get desperate.

And a countdown to when Monthly Voting ends... I had to scramble waggle the entries up the screen, because I've been without power and heat for 6 days!
Halloween was cancelled around the Tri-State area, across the board. We missed so much stuff!!! Do-over!!1!

Oh, yeah - you should stock up on food, too. You can get hungry driving around for hours looking for that perfect spot.
I'm right in the middle of the LZ, I think I'd have to drive though blasted roads for a few hours before... keep calm, carry on.

Both reviews were on the same page. I don't think http://ericho.newgrounds.com/ would like his hard work as a reviewer being lifted like that.
Tigerkitty was kind enough to straighten this out with a bit of advice: if you flag something that isn't plainly abusive, PM a Review Mod and explain why. Still lost whistle points (haven't tagged a review in some time, and it went to garbage thanks to this incident).
Anyone remember the field that would pop-up when you hit the old abusive button? It had check marks for what in particular was wrong and an optional text field to describe WTF is up. This could be a potential bummer for the mods to wade through, but I really think this feature should be bought back.

Is this legit? It's just some hamster-dance, nyan-cat thing, but the whole animation is covered with an external link.
I know it's only a movie and doesn't seem especially malicious, but if someone gets curious as to what would happen if you clicked it... pay-to-click money to the website it opens?
I mean it's just a loop, but is it interactive? You don't know till you click. It's by Gamermuscle(.com) and the Flash goes to http://www.chickenonachicken.com/
Fuck, I know this is a double post of sorts, and I don't wanna be spamming stuff straight from a news aggregating website but.... I never heard of Fungal meningitis. Here's the latest Yahoo article on the matter.
The steroids batch that got infected, were distributed to almost a dozen States in the U.S. As you can see from the Wiki link above, steroids are used to do lots of things and are administered all the time.
So if anyone out there got a steroid (illegal or otherwise) shot within the past month or so. how ya feeling? I'm guessing from hunting around online, I dodged the bullet on this one - by law. wherever you got stuck with the needle, they have to call you and let you know if you got a bad batch and come in for testing..... Still worth investigating on your own though, to make sure shit don't start melting on ya.
One of Monty Python's third season bits got me thinking a few years ago... It was called "Salad Days", and was intended to be a rather messy nod to Sam Peckinpah, and his movie "Straw Dogs" (which I have yet to watch).
But Peckinpah's "The Wild Bunch" was the one I really loved. It's far from your typical Western and has the best stars of the period being Western outlaws during the first World War, when automobiles and airplanes were just beginning to have "an effect on the landscape". If you like bloody action/adventures with realistic characters, "The Wild Bunch" is your treat in waiting.
3 plastic pouches of Top cigarette tobacco and a 2 liter of Coke. Got the Coke for nothin' because I gave the dude a big ass watermelon, which got cracked because some chode cut me off while stealing my Pop's pick-up truck to do this.
Every pouch (Tax Class J) costs half the price of a regular pack of smokes, plus it has rolling papers and is almost equal in volume to 2 packs of cigarettes. The same company also makes pipe tobacco (Tax Class L) which cost even less, but the dude didn't have any :( The only difference between the two, is the way the leaves are cut - thin for cigs and thicker for pipe.
Nah, probably made just for the commercial. I thought it might be a filler score for 'Beverly Hills Cop', but, nah - definitely an 80's instrument set though. Still, try torrents or wiki for the soundtrack to that flick... that might satiate yer music fix.
I miss comedians like Bill Hicks and Sam Kinsion. The best comedy out there, is the stuff that shows just how manipulated we are as a species.
Whatever happened to the original Sunny D? Now that stuff is just awful, even if it was shipped cold like good beer. Whatever chemicals they got in that crap now, can't be good for procreating :P
Tenchu was a brilliant game... Ah, I'll be 40 y/o in a few days and played soo many great games. EA really scooped up too many good indie companies along the way. Interplay and Broderbund had some really great titles. Playing Twisted Metal 2 with friends (on the couch, not overseas) was an activity we did for more than 2 years!
Too bad no one's old enough to remember Redneck Rampage, but Postal 1 and Postal 2 should be within everyone's linear realm... If you haven't played Postal 2, you should. There's no politically correct bullshit with this PC game. You'll never play a FPS like this one on a console!

I also agree with all your analyses (even tho I'm a dude and all) - estrogen and progestin used to be at those levels and higher years ago. In fact my sister had to have her uterus removed, thanks to the year and a half she was on birth control meds. She developed many large and intractable cysts :P
I know it's kinda ichy, but I heard they recently bought back the sponge. I guess they took it off the market due to low demand, but with corporate oversight of medical matters (like the one you encountered with the Ortho-Novum 1/50), it's a damn good thing to have options.
Very surprised that the wiki article doesn't get into it's history! It was invented over a century ago by a female healthcare worker by using a sponge soaked in simple water and a ribbon tied around it. At the time, it was almost considered heresy and the inventor had a tough time of it, since not only sex workers, but women tired of having kids could be empowered by such a simple thing.
But 'the pill' also has other benefits, like some emotional stability around menses time and ease of use. I wish you luck in finding a product that you can use safely, both physically and mentally. If you find any more information on the subject, please let us know... IRL, women are the majority of the population :3

I'm still kinda reading The Sword of Samurai Cat, but when I'm on the john, it's Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne. That book is such an easy, satisfying read. I usually poop pretty quickly, but still can get through 3 or 4 pages no sweat. I also like the fact it's an old 'Scholastic Reader' book with no UPC or price tag on it at all. It sure puts the mid 20th century film of it to shame.
Well, I will say this: very few TV shows have ever done the comedy-variety genre as well as Monty Python. The only other one I can think of would be Kids in the Hall, and that only did well, because it was on cable TV, and had the latitude to be as raunchy as writers wanted it to be. It also helped that many of the stars were eccentric homosexuals....
Because MPFC was funded by British TV license money and not advertisers, the writers and cast were able to free-associate the writing in their scripts, without interference.
The shining mark of the series, is the way it was written. "...and now, for something completely different" was just a mind-trick. No matter how disassociated the bits seemed, they all tied into to one another, and in the same episode as well.
So, I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with "emotionally enhancing" prescription drugs? It seems like there's a shit-ton out them out there, and I know from personal experience, some of them just don't work.
Example: Lithium... didn't do a damn thing for me. But then again, there were some other drugs, like pain killers, that also just didn't do the job - guess my head-chemistry wasn't normal.
The reason I'm asking this, is because everyone's brain is different. Have drugs like Zoloft and Tramadol been beneficial when they were prescribed to you? Were their effects noticeable right away, or did you have to take them for a while to get the effects? Conversely, did taking the drug after a while, make you feel worse or more dopy in general?

I have this picture in my head, of Eddie Murphy putting some bananas in a tailpipe, in some long forgotten 80's cop movie....
