Best PM an Art mod like http://eyelovepoozy.newgrounds.com/ http://mindchamber.newgrounds.com/ or http://legolass.newgrounds.com/
My gut instinct: It absolutely must be a handmade and designed outfit, and probably displayed without a model wearing it... it's just to highlight the art and skill of the piece, not the human wearing it in the photograph, that's important.

Ahhhhhhh, you beat me to it! Are you even old enough to even remember when BASIC was a living language?
This a mockery of all those hundreds of pages of code I wrote... I mean reverse engineered and/or copied from magazines and manuals :| Don't care, it still got me out of 8th grade history class, even if it was only a TRS-80 III :P, or should I say command poke: 43456.2344577.334452.001...
I may have to dig up my Capsela hunter/killer and send it West towards Northern Philadelphia....
Check out some of the National Parks, like Sequoia, Yosemite, Crater Lake and many others... great hiking, animals and history. If you can take mass transit into San Fransisco (bay area), there's shit loads there to see, including wrestling huge ass kites and wind surfing, some otters too. Go to Napa valley for some wine tasting, find some German restaurants.. man, Cally's got the world's best restaurants!
Also, there used to be a few places you could pan gold (after renting a pan of course). Yeah, there's water parks everywhere out there. A small but nice one is up in Crestline.... used to a be small burger stand on the other side of town, had the greasiest burgers, best fries and shakes I ever had - real nice hangout on Friday nights. But please do try "In-n-Out Burger", they pay their employees a real salary, and have THE best food! Hope you have some stellar fun this weekend, wherever you end up!

Yeah, first the US got bland and ubiquitous (after the 1960's), then... the wooooorld! Thanks to Hollywood, we've become the model for a propaganda run country, second only to WWII Germany. It's our fault that other countries have lost their identity and pride, thanks to our major export: crappy TV shows and news programming (well, now the Brits do the news).
Growing up, I saw lots of diversity, now, it's all the same. We watch, read and eat the same shit, because there's no other choices available (unless you wanna make your own, or spend obscene amounts of money). 1000 channels on the TV and there's still nothing on :|
We got some good musicians... a few concerts/events are just edgy or different enough to be considered cultural.
Culture changes year by year. I don't think there's any culture left in the US, it all got washed away by whatever the corporations want us to buy/believe/discuss, since they own the newspapers, radio, TV, and the very infrastructure we're conversing on right now. There are still great artists and creative thinkers here, but it's all work-for-hire.

And who wants to feed lawyers? Look at our impotent and toothless Federal and State representatives... they get campaign funds from dubious sources, and are bound to do as they ask (and hire their shills as aides), if elected. It's a significant enough risk to stay independent, IMO.

Hopefully it will. It takes all of us here to point the artists in the right direction. Your experience with Newgrounds and other sites can be an invaluable asset, to artists who just keep their heads down, and does what he or she does best.
If no one's said it yet... it's giggity-gif to me.

The staff seem to follow the interests of users when selecting for the FP... but the age demographic has been slipping, since video streaming and YouTube have been gaining drones. NG always had a junior high school feel to it, since it was founded for professional stiffs to blow off steam, and for noobs and students looking to up their game.
BLISS should've had a way higher score, but I can understand why it didn't. It hit too close to the mark for the people of this fantasy land website. In the real world, little Johnny is farting around on this site, because he and his parents can't afford to buy a new game every month. While he's busy watching Zone-Sama and the Shad's work, mom and dad are wondering when the eviction notice will arrive. 30 days after that, the County sheriff will arrive, because a lot of people weren't able to keep making escalating mortgage and property tax payments.
The Western world is asleep, and Mr. Sandman is working overtime... and so is AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline and Eli Lilly. We are taught not to question authority in school, but the actions of our respective governments have been quite suspect lately.....

Best of the worst lol. But seriously, yeah, you must be right.. 5 movies and 5 games are given honors every day, for a total of 300 per month, along with the FP honored stuff as well! I don't debate the selection offered, it's the challenge of voting properly.
I'd feel much better if there was a countdown timer on the voting page, so I know exactly how much time is left, to meditate and research the entrants properly. Then I wouldn't feel so shitty after I hit submit :| It's rare I feel good about voting... I'd bug the fuck out if our vote choices were made public O_O

To be fair, it's a big ass selection to vote on :| People vote on what they know. The alternative is watching and playing everything that's in the left column. Maybe everyone with an account should do the monthly voting, then the selected pool can vote on the run-off selections. Tom should toss some XP in on the deal too, dammit :|
Myself, I just hump the UJ stuff that rolls in, and while I got a fav page that breeds like rabbits (1,224 pages since the redesign last year), I don't catch all the trendy stuff that usually gets put on the FP. And for all my time voting and reviewing in the Art portal, what good does it do here? :P

Also hi Luis.
Hey Luis!
The gist... was transitional. Thought I had a PM from him, and trying to find a blog response would be folly (considering the lack of search and filter functions, on more than a few NG pages). He's still got his other links and contacts up, you could ask... it seemed like he was ready to step away from Newgrounds. It happens.
Newgrounds a place unto itself, a never-neverland of it's own creation, that the rest of the world doesn't give a damn about. Real-life doesn't lend itself, as well as we'd like, to the digital faffery that goes on here... it just doesn't pay the bills or hugs you at night.
I'll mark it on the calendar, hype this thread around a few days beforehand. How hard can be to ask someone to keep a tab of the BBS open? It's worth a shot. Newgrounds isn't a total fuck up, it just seems that way at times.

The more the banks got involved, the worse it got, same with college loans. After graduation, you could pay off almost all of your debt by teaching in a public school (while heavily garnishing your paycheck) for at least 2 years. Then in the mid-70's, the banks stopped offering that kind of loan altogether.... then the amount of time it took to pay it off went up.
Almost half the population can only get part time work, taxes for bloated local schools and infrastructure.... yeah, it's enough to take up arms. Riots only destroy where you live. Protesting will likely get you put into a FEMA prison (relocation camp) under any number of phoney laws, indefinitely.
The two party system has failed us equally and utterly, and should be dismantled; current members of the House and Senate should make new associations/parties. The there will a chance at a coalition government again.
My user name had one 'drunk' up front, one 'money' in the back, at the bottom 'hungry', and the rest was just 'sex'.

I'd re-write history and take my chances with whatever happened.

So, why is it, when I send PM's, the date says: Sent Dec 31, 1969? P-Bot trip over some Y2K bug-fix while sending out the odd mass PM? It's not a critical thing, the elapsed time thing still works.... just weird. Haven't run into that 'dateless' DOS thing in quite a while.
