Yeah, it snuck up on me too. But aside from that and Tommy Wiseau, I've noticed a huge blank spot in the site. Mattster made this game called Drawing Grounds, which uses the User Generated content feed... have you seen the things coming through this thing?!

At the very least, I'd like the Latest Shared Creations pod on our userpages, to be properly updated. As it is now, only the very first Creations created are being displayed, and my artwork's been getting better over time!

I can't say, "Buy out Mattster's work, and put the output of this 'game' in the Art Portal.", but there is no way to access the content this game puts out, unless you run the game and use it's browser. Really shocked at the content our members have made on this unnoticed game/art app. How about another another genre on the left-hand side of the Art Portal page?

Boring. But that's okay.

Hell, while your at it: Is call of duty "Real life"? It is created and witnessed by those who play it- So what makes it "Not real"?

Playing a video game is just... playing a video game, while real war is much more complex, and involves other people in a do or die situation, spread across many square miles. The internet is only a very tiny taste of reality, but what little there is, is potent.

Anyone?

Sorry, can't help you, I'm not actually here :|

Ah, we know Wiseau is a live wire, but what about Greg? Poor guy looks as boring as paint, or I'm just jelly over his looks.

Hmm, hey Tom, looks like a good event to hand out some business cards, eh?! Even if no one else here goes, and my schedule allows it, might just do it as an early birthday gift to myself. Hahaha!

Same here, I'm not a fan of tougher meat unless it's a jerky, otherwise I wouldn't eat it. Whenever my family have blue crabs, my dad would chop each one in half so that way they can be dead and the insides could be cooked more easily as well.

Oh yeah, forgot about that technique... my Pop used to just tear off lobster bits and chuck 'em in the pot, 8 minutes I think. Shame, there's still a fair amount of meat on the little crawler legs and body. Man, it's been a long while since I had fresh crustacean, it's been mostly fluke and trout my cousin gets while fishing in the bay. Can't trust the crab around these parts much any more :(

This would be pretty cool - it could be a sort of "importance" level set on the trophy, so it could show your most important trophy, like Deathink would show his User of the Year trophy but if he hadn't won that, it would look for the next most important. I think the yearly ones could stick around forever, too, like a permanent badge of honor.

In fairness, a buddy of mine sent me a year's subscription to Wired magazine, but I doubt I'll see this article in print next month, whilst upon the porcelain throne. Point is, NG only ever made fun of celebrities, seals and satirized matter floating in the toilet of the mass-media. Tom's got more integrity in his left nipple, than the owner of that website has in his whole body :|

In further fairness, I didn't even read the whole article, but it seems to me, whoever runs a thing, their personality, hopes and dreams, do get trickled down (like a golden shower of inspiration and direction) to the staff, advertisers, the mods, as well as the rank and file members, like this guy!

Guess the only thing I could do to help, is to renew my Supporter Upgrade, but I'd still like to help the game developers here with sponsorship... I'd much rather do that through Newgrounds, and leave the administration/choices to you.

That's quite an account you've written Tom! It's one of your many endearing qualities: giving credit where credit is due. If all indie game developers shared your concepts of brotherhood and comradery, EA and Nintendo wouldn't stand a chance! I look forward to checking out the games/projects on your list, I haven't seen yet.

Behemoth is a separate entity than Newgrounds. How have things been going with them both? I'm not asking for a pie chart or anything, just wondering if profits are okay and safely defraying operating costs....

Response to: Judgment Update, Go Vote! Posted August 29th, 2013 in NG News

I'm too lazy to check this thread or the links, but has anyone updated the NG help and NG Wiki pages yet?

There should've been a press conference, because Newgrounds has had the same Under Judgement system for over 10 years (or were the numbers tweaked around 2000-'01?). No respect....

If any of the other mainstream websites had been around as long as us, you can bet tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars would be spent to grease mass-media machine, with top-shelf liquor, Kevin Bacon and Morgan Freeman as paid attendees, and Luis huggin' everyone's bod.

Response to: Judgment Update, Go Vote! Posted August 28th, 2013 in NG News

This is an historic occasion indeed.

OMG, only 4 UJ items in teh ol' Classic Portal! This means I'll be able to find the weird part of Newgrounds again, without having to wade through tons of daily random shite! It's like..... the old days *squeee* Except there's no way I'm starting at submission 1 and going to, say, 253, like I used to do by typing it in the address bar. The movies and games back then, were still pretty tiny, so it didn't take to long to watch them... and there was a certain bent appeal about checking out every single submission on Tom's apartment room "server"

I truly and utterly hope this kills the 0/5 bombers/stat whores off permanently. Everyone should be totally honest with their vote, and yes, NG should have a standard of excellence, meaning some stuff's gonna have an obit page. Back around 2000, I was aiming for a 1:1 blam/save ratio (which USED to be listed after you voted!!!)

Response to: What is your homepage? Posted August 28th, 2013 in General

Newgrounds Front Page, although the FP ain't what it used to be... only reason for going there, is for the feeds on the left (and the Fav feed, which I moved to the top), under Tom's news. I imagine almost 80% of the BBS regulars have NG homepaged, not as large a segment as the traditional and blogger users though.
