Just save the picture in-game, and it's automatically up for competition! Remember, it has to be a Newgrounds inspired picture, from a game or movie that's done well here. Check out Tom's links... the past years winners were mad good!

Chazdude's pretty good! Only problem is: my Favorite Artists feed page. I faved so many ppl, I've got almost 300 pages of notifications O_o, and keeping up with it, is damn nigh impossible, given my current schedule :\

Almost pointless to ask, but what's the 0-60mph time? Looks like it has a 3 cylinder engine... does it ride nice?
1980 Ford Fiesta, though mine was dead-frog green. Used to call it "Da Toad", because the shocks were shot. Surprisingly decent handling on bumpy bends though, thank Gob for good springs. Manual transmission got about 35mpg, but Ford never made a reliable water pump for it :\ Had over 250,000 miles on it before I got sick of running out water and sold it.
If anyone cares, here's my list of (mostly) road going vehicles.

Nice score dude, also bookmarked the albums. Heavy almost sounds mastered from the actual vinyl. Used to love ripping Jethro Tull LP songs to the FTP sharing servers back in the day, it's just too bad none of them survived the Napster glut of sub-128kbs CD rips, into today's torrents.

Now that's odd. I heard Britain had a bit of a vinyl renaissance in the 00's, thanks in part to White Stripes releasing LP's. I'm sure there's a half decent record player up for grabs between you and London. Wish I could send you one, but I imagine the tariffs and excise tax would be a killjoy.
Almost shit myself today... a distant relative came over the house to pick up a friend of mine's 100 y/o Grand Union coffee grinder; 400 pounds of cast iron. After I showed him my latest hoard (1940-60's radio station records, lousy condition), he stood next to my shoulder and told me about how, one day, he discovered how fun it was to break 45's. Elvis Presley, Big Bopper, other massive classics, just frisbee fragments at the base of a tree :| Took almost a week to recover from the beating he got from his mother.
Not seeing the file details in games and movies anymore is quite spooky... it's a real pain, when ppl don't put in proper preloaders. And I have to worry about how old my computer is, and if it can handle the content, which I gauge by size and format :p

Sometimes (if the car is tilted slightly like on a slope of some kind, even if it's really gradual) it just doesn't want to start until I crank it a bit! I haven't seen any oil leaks to speak of, the engine sounds very smooth and transmission shifts very clean. The engine bay is ultra dirty so I honestly don't really have a good idea of what may be original or not. I think the next thing may be to put a better air intake on it (that'd be fun).
Lots of good, clean air never hurt an engine. My Pop's GMC needs a new filter, and for the smaller of the V8's, it's a whopper of a size, probably fan driven too. Dunno what to tell you about the slope... it can't be a gravity feed (of gas into the carb). Sounds like it could be a dirty fuel filter, clogged screen or inlet in the gas tank.. hope it isn't the latter. Probably nothing to worry about unless it takes longer an longer cranking to start. Doubt it's the timing if the engine's running smooth, perhaps the coil is wearing out... you need a good buildup in the coil to get dem spark plugs... sparking :| Newer stuff has a coil for each spark plug O_O

At 10/8/13 01:11 AM, Loki wrote: How about "don't paint your car if you can't afford it"?
Paint is a preservative against oxidation :( Any attempt to preserve the metal is a good thing, like sewing up a small rip before it gets bigger. There were times (and crappy cars), I just just smeared or sprayed grease onto rust spots - the paint would never stick there without significant cleaning, but sure as hell keeps the water, salt, tar, calcium from rusting new air holes in the body work. Rust never sleeps...

The guy who sold it to me said it was the "camper special" or something like that so it had a bigger engine than most of the similar models (big block three-fifty-something? maybe? I dunno much about old engines). I believe it though! The thing hauls ass like you wouldn't believe. Sounds pretty beastly too.
Well, I just spent a few minutes trying to nail down your version... aside from a Ford tractor and a Ford 1983 4 dr. LTD, I'm not too familiar with the Ford brand, but having something bigger than a 350 in a truck that size, sure is potent!
Also glad the transmission's holding up well. Usually, 1st gear in rigs like yours, is what they used to call a 'granny gear'. I'm presuming it's a manual... can't see how it could be otherwise, unless someone stuck one in there.
Honestly, on the paint job thing... if the paint job lasts two years, it'll be more life than I expected to get out of the car. Really this was more an experiment just to see what I could do with virtually zero prep work and minimal expense. I'm in probably $900 at most for the truck and hell if it isn't worth it so far. I can always redo it later if needs be.
Under a grand? You got a piece of American history there man... do take care of it, and consider getting another vehicle, just so you can keep the mileage down on that 'classic' (I was 1 or 2 y/o when that thing was built lol)
Whoops, wrong probe, and I'm too lazy to check to see if this one had a plaque as well, but the record's there. The Pioneer probes are mostly all gone, but who knows?
Even the crap we blasted onto planets in our own solar system, could still serve its function, should any curious space faring aliens cruise on by... see our early drones, crashed on nearby planets (mostly no aggressive atmospheres, so they'll be visible for a good long while).

Look into the Wiki on the Voyager probes. Probes... uh-huh-huh, ah-huh-huh-huh. It's also got a gold record aboard that's got 'Hello' in a shit-ton of languages, Chuck Berry, the Rolling Stones, animal sounds. It's like a space borne planetary brochure, for non-human sentient beings.

Good goin' OP! Yeah, good Rustoleum on a properly finished surface will hold up pretty well, though, I might've tried Hammerite paint. It's got glass beads in it, and really resists chipping.
What year is that gorgeous looking Ford? Kinda looks like Cooter's truck from the Dukes of Hazzard.... uncle Jesse also had a Ford pickup truck, but I think his was slightly newer and white.
Also, and for the record, there used to be a few places just inside NYC, "Paint your car for $19.99" I'm sure the price has gone up, but if you need a cheap and cheerful GTA style Pay 'n Spray, I think they're still in existence! The catch? They don't tape up squat. You'd need a razor-scrapper to get the paint off the windshield to get home.... or pre-tape the car and tow/trailer it in. So, if you see any matte-crappy looking cars in old films set in NYC, now you know.

For anyone who is confused, our system allows you to upload multiple formats so that you can support a variety of devices. For example, a movie may be intended to be viewed as an SWF, but an MP4 version can be available for phones and other devices that don't support SWF.
Yeah, I'm still a bit confused... Gotta take the time to add this stuff to the NG Wiki Help section, especially Unity... or is that part of HTML5? I dunno, but do please take the time to flesh out NG's take on all this new wizardry. The 20th century version of NG had a good Q&A section on Flash, which convinced me to download it as an add-on (to MS IE 2 or3, I disremember which).
Also, is the info pod for games and movies going to get fixed? I'm a guy. I love details. I wanna know the filesize (which helps the EGB in discerning stolen/resubmitted submissions), what format, and what the author had for lunch right before submitting.

Is the Credits and Info pod going to get fixed soon? Really miss the old days, when there was a shit-ton of info there... as well as detailed stats after you voted, like blam-to-save ratio, whistle status...
Hope you're not busy the next week or so Tom... got envelopes?
All the same, I'm glad you're streamlining the site and reducing manhours, however, selling merch on another website, and simply putting the link on the FP (with the other NG links), might be a preferable alternative. Newgrounds site traffic will pick up soon! Just need some ads...

I like the idea, but there are legal issues standing in our way. I mean, think about all of the shit Tom got into over this, and his Teletubies game, in the past, we don't need that shit to happen again.
Free press is free advertising (exploitation). They ask to take it down, is the worst that could happen, since Tom didn't make it.
Nice idea, OP, but sadly it won't ever happen.
Shit, whatever happened to free speech, parodies? If you're in the public eye, you're ripe for satire. Tom doesn't have the dough to do advertising... why not? There's been games that feature celebs getting their chronometers cleaned recently, why not push Assassin to the forefront a tad? Bad enough Nintendo had to harass Tom into taking down Mario games, but that's a big company (for how long?). Actually, I think most public figures would want the extra exposure, to this hip, fringe segment of the population.

Howard Stern show in the late 20th century, before he got lame. There was a brief time, he mentioned websites that caught his fancy, and I wrote down the name. While in high school, I used to record (some) of his 4 hour program on cassette, right before I hit the street. Then I wised up, and started using my VCR (SLP, 6 hour record time!) to get even more of the show, but by then, he was going downhill.
Lurked the site for over a year, then decided I could trust this innocent looking youngster (Tom) with my ISP's email address. Back then, an email account cost money, by way of an ISP or a service. The dotcom bubble drove websites to sell off their subscriber/email lists, hackers were selling any and all viable email addresses.... was a rough time. Wish it was like that again.

What's irrelevant is that study! Nicotine itself isn't addictive, but when it hits the brain, it triggers an on-demand dopamine reaction, which itself is highly addictive. There's so damn little withdrawal with THC, why even bother?! Snoop Dog and Willy Nelson need more medication (potentially quite addictive) just to get over another drug?
