Is Humanity dying, or are we devolving?

I chalk it up as a form of crowd control, encouraged by socialist states. The weirder and more self absorbed the people are, the easier it is for the government to maintain uncontested control. What originally made America great, was the public maintaining it's own communities; freedom meant a more representative government, and the people supported themselves.

In America now, we have a stagnant 2 party system, 'a nation of laws, not men', where the people are isolated from one another. Instead of supporting people in their own communities, our citizens expect subsidies and handouts.. or a chance at being foolish, in the hopes that they can get a TV show. Fame and money, the brass ring of dreamers everywhere (myself included).

Finished this game twice now and still haven't found the Masked Stranger..

If you've still got the game save, and have beat all the monsters (except the final boss), go to that one level where there's an exit North, and an inn on the left side (and some derpy kid in the middle-left)... in that inn in the upper right, there should be a character there. Keep talking to him, till he runs out of things to say (about the future story). That game's kinda buggy :(

Don't mine PulseLane being "new" to this. I hadn't picked up on the name change before the tracker did.

Thanks for posting the roster! Damn, I remember a time when Tom and the staff were adamantly against being contacted for name changes....

Response to: Predictions Posted July 13th, 2014 in General

The thing that was supposed to happen in late 2012 will actually happen this December, a day or two before Christmas. Eastern and Southern coastlines will be washed away :\ The press bungles the reporting, to make it sound like only Rio got wiped out, and the wave dissipated... but it climbs north, gaining altitude and slowing down from the initial shock from the asteroid hit near Antarctica.

Sometime in 2016, a massive solar flare 20 hours long, will randomly cook the life out of a lot of the Earth's surface, including that stupidly designed Seed Bank. Damn near all electronics and metal will warp and break.

2050, 2 space worthy nuclear missiles will be prepared to explode an asteroid, that is on course to 'nudge' Earth (which wouldn't have, if the 2014 quake didn't occur). Only one missile functioned, and blew up the asteroid, but not destroy it. Instead of a glancing blow, the Earth is hit with metallic grapeshot, which eliminates all life as we know it.... if they had only tried to deflect it... but, fate is what you make it, if you believe and act hard enough to change it.

Still can't get over how many links! I wonder if the rationale is to do 52 of these, and then just add a few afterwards for next year.... or just create a section in Channels afterwards, to house all these.

So far, the feed thing's stabilized, and seems to be okay, no need to tweak anything from the new defaults. I still have to count the entries to know which ones are new.... though, yeah, I usually know where I left off.

I know gentleman, but when you see the DOA page, it has a tombstone with "...Dicks. Dicks everywhere :(" This thread was created by one. Actually kind of surprised Chat took so long to be exploited (or be exploitable).

Besides, I was in the hot sun all day yesterday :p Troll/Dick/Hacker, it's all the same to me on this fancy pants party line.

Response to: Ever held a grudge on a band? Posted July 8th, 2014 in General

John Mayall, the legend who played with Hendrix and (I think Stevie Ray) really pissed me off. Expensive tickets on the beach, way back by the parking lot, on the North rim of Tahoe, and him and his band sucked. The opening act was way better, The Wall Street Band or something.

Metallica. They made such a fuss over the wild west nature of the early internet, like a bunch of overpaid Dutch boys, sticking their fingers in a dyke, lol. I'm sure if I had to think about it, I could list more than a few... Axl Rose, Yoko Ono. Eh, so long as the music sounds good. Napster bad! Money good!! I miss the old Flash sites like Camp Chaos and Romp :(

Response to: The Civil War was a loss Posted July 4th, 2014 in Politics

After pressing a few History majors in high school, it seems Reconstruction was the first crack in our modern government. The amount of money and influence to rebuild the South, strained its ability to maintain its integrity and support a coalition in the Senate and House... as such, the 2 party system was born, to speed things up. That made it easier for our system to be corrupted, because a choice of one or the other, is really no choice at all.

The destruction of our country made it necessary to produce goods, during and after the war. When people are under stress, they can accept many things... idk, I shouldn't be commenting here on the 4th of July. Bad enough Mexico is in a civil war, and our borders are porous, a terrible mix; look at Syria, it's about to destabilize the whole region.
