Yeah, it's tough standing up but I think I got the hang of it. You need to lean back, knees bent, and use your arms to pull yourself up. Then when the boat has enough speed and you'll be gliding accross the water. It's alot of fun I recommend everyone to try it.

It was tough for me, I had some old school skis on that were pieces of shit. I got up the first time rode for a good 45 seconds and then was exhausted. I got back in the boat let me buddy give it a go, and then I went back out again, rode for a good 30 seconds and was exhausted again.

So yesterday, I went water skiing for the first time. That shit is tough, took me 3 tries to stand up for the first time, but that first time you stand up and glide accross the water is the best. I had alot of fun, and to go ontop of that I was baked out of my mind too. Went to lake Piru out here in southern California, anyone know where that is?

Alright, it all started at 11AM when me and my buddy got the idea to go to the beach, we went with his uncle and got there at about 1PM..

So we get there the waves aren't much, kind'a bored and we look down the coast and see a huge rock (a cliff more like it) called "Point Doom"

CUE THE SPOOKY MUSIC

we say fuck it and walk down there, it's about a mile and half walk but we bust the mission anyways. we finally get to the rock and climb up the trail, we're looking for a place to blaze and he says "i know a spot on the other side of the rock", on the way to the spot his uncle says "no we can't go there, the trail's all washed away".

we say fuck it, and go anyway... we get there and it's the SIDE of a CLIFF, with like a 150FT drop on to these jagged rocks with waves crashing on them, my buddy crosses just by jumping over, his uncle throws his towel to him and used him to pull him accross, like a rope...

and then it's was turn, i couldn't stop looking down at that horrible death below me... my friend threw me the towel and said he wouldn't let me fall, i grabbed it and took my first step out onto the side of the cliff, and then my second... my foot started sliding on the second step, i panicked and dropped the towel. So here I am hanging on the side of a cliff, with both my feet sliding and the only thing keeping me supported and straight up is a rock that i'm clinging to with my index finger and thumb, my foot caught some traction and i took the third step to saftey...

I MADE IT... holy shit i almost shit my pants, but before i could stop and check myself for stains i realized that i had to do it AGAIN on the way back...

we smoke a few bowls and i'm really high for the second pass, i watched my friend do it, did exactly what he did and sort'a just jumped across in one smooth motion. i think being high helped me focus on what i was doing, and not worry about the drop below.

and that's it, on the way back we got a ticket for tresspassing so that sucks.
