looks like he just created a white box and made it a symbol over the image then changed the alpha drastically to get a flash effect.

I feel kinda embarassed to even post this..Its an old animation that I was workin on to get familiar with flash. It was suppose to have 5 different endings that you can choose from at the end. I might do this over one day with better graphics...NOT.
Well heres the monstrosity titled "Whatcha Chewing?"
http://img22.imagesh..whatchachewin2cw.swf

Note: Imageshack shows more of the borders than intended. Which really doesn't matter cause this flash is worth a 0.

Topic: Flash to Vcd

Posted: 01/17/06 07:54 PM

Forum: Flash

I'm making a presentation on the life cycle of the Octopus on flash. My original idea was to create it in flash and present it in flash. I had a minor problem though...my teacher couldn't get access to a computer to show the class but he will get a dvd player to show my work.
All I want to know is what framerate should I make my flash?
How should I export it?
What program should I use to burn an interactive vcd?(So i can choose a part to play)
Also my flash has video in it.
Any help folks?

Posted: 01/16/06 04:29 PM

Still isn't working right. I tried a lil test of what I wanted to do on http://www.w3schools..lename=trycss_float5

using this exact code .
<html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">
div
{
float:center;
position:absolute;
top:150px;
width:750;
padding:3;
margin:0;
list-style-type:none;
font-family:verdana;
font-weight:bold;
}
a:link
{background-color:black;
text-decoration:none;
color:white;
padding:0.2em 1em;
border-right:.3px solid white;
}
a:hover
{text-decoration:none;
color:white;
background-color:red
}
li {display:inline}

div2{
float:left;
position:absolute;
top:181px;
width:159;
padding:3;
margin:0;
list-style-type:none;
font-family:verdana;
font-weight:bold;
}

</style>
</head>

<body>
<div>
<li>Home</li>
<li>Who we Are</li>
<li>Art</li>
<li>Store</li>
<li>Links</li>
</div>

<div2>
<li>Comics</li>
<li>Forum</li>
<li>Art</li>
<li>Siteinfo</li>
<li>Guestbook</li>
</div2>

<p>
In the example above, we let the ul element and the a element float to the left.
The li elements will be displayed as inline elements (no line break before or after the element). This forces the list to be on one line.
The ul element has a width of 100% and each hyperlink in the list has a width of 6em (6 times the size of the current font).
We add some colors and borders to make it more fancy.
</p>

</body>
</html>
Its not showing the list the way I coded it..am i makin some kind of stupid error?

o cool, I saw that site. but heres my Css for the horizontal list.
#Navbar
{
float:center;
position:absolute;
top:150px;
width:750;
padding:3;
margin:0;
list-style-type:none;
font-family:verdana;
font-weight:bold;
}

a:link
{
background-color:black;
text-decoration:none;
color:white;
padding:0.2em 1em;
border-right:.3px solid white;
}
a:hover
{
text-decoration:none;
color:white;
background-color:red
}
li {display:inline}

That works out great. The trouble I'm having is adding more lists. I think I'm goin to have to create more stylesheets for each list on my page and I'm looking for a cleaner solution.

I thought it seemed a bit much because I was just using divs for my lists. The only problem was how would I give the three list different characteristics.
The top list is actually vertical with 3 rollover images
the 2nd list is a horizontal list with basic rollover abilities
the 3rd list is a vertical list with a bigger font and same rollover abilities as list two.
I was just going to place each list in a different div but the list's values overlap one another and it comes out wrong.

woah..when people are on the internet they really think they can say whatever they please because they will never meet the person face to face. I just think its stupid and cowardly. I know for a fact if you ever told told this to a person in their face you'll get slapped or punched. I said thank you because of the fact you were upset I didn't credit you for giving me a link...and you just flipped. Dude you have some issues you need to work out.
