Even if he isn't innocent, him being attacked *on the ground when he could easily be subdued from that position* is illegal and grounds for criminal prosecution under assault laws.

You're being a bit of a drama queen. The cautionary approach is to be used *only* in situations where there is a grey area and the illegality of the actions is in question. You know, where there's a chance that they may not be breaking the law.
Cause, shockingly, possession of extremeist literature and knowing how to make a bomb isnt illegal. If it is, * gasp* I'd actually be in jail right now as I've got extremeist literature from a number of faiths and imformation on how to make bombs and the like in my house.
So from reading the MSN link it seems that what is actually being done is saying ' Were not going to prosecute unless we're 100% sure.
Oh no, the police will not be arresting and prosecuting thigns which are not illegal such as viewing extremeist websites which is protected under Freedom of Speech in the Human rights bill.
This is bad how exactly? That's what the fucking police should be doing in the first place...
got a link to anything I've actually heard of? Quick look at the BBC and I don't see anything. Hell jsut glance dat the Daily hate mail which LOVES this sort of story and can't see a damned thing.
So another link would be appreciated to actually confirm the sotry otherwise I'm calling shenanigans.

Her feeling towards me have apparently changed. it was nothing I had done etc etc etc.
In short I dunno why she broke it off with me. I thought we were going strong, but.... *shrug* apparently not...
Cheers folks.
Am back in Birmingham now. Despite it all, I think me and her are going to stay friends. Her reasons or doing what she did and the way she did are have been made somewhat clear to me. Can't say I'm happy, but hey, life goes on. Her loss.
So yeah in other news:
I'm getting a kitten!

I was... it sounds weird but despite it all we're still on alright terms. I'm back in Birmingham now.
Weirdly a First class ticket was cheapest at £37
Also, either whiskey or rum go quite nicely in tea, from my experience :)
Duely noted!

So yeah, on Friday caught a train to see my Girlfriend. Met her parents. had dinner with them. Sarurday her parents leave for a few days giving us a few days alone. Yay for romantic oppirtunities etc etc. Except no.
Today after we spent some time in town, where I thought she was acting a bit odd but just thought I was being paranoid, she dumped me.
I travelled for 3 hours on a train to get dumped....
life sucks :(

Is there any form of alcohol which goes well with stupidly strong and sweet tea?
My name is TNT, but you can call me Mr TNT. I demand respect bitches!
I am a mod. I will ban you if you break rules. I will also not ban you if you provide lulz.
Provide me with lulz please.
So I re-read the first couple of arcs of The Ultimates this morning and have been dipping in and out of the other Ultimate MArvel stuff I have, and have come to the conclusion that I prefer the ultimate universe to the regular one.
It seems to be much more structured and realistic. Thor isnt just a random Norse God but has an actual agenda being the prime example I can think of.
Am I the only person who thinks this?
As stated, you're review was not helpful.

So I just finished watching Muppets Christmas Carol in the middle of July as a means of procrastination for cleaning my house.
On the plus side, I'm going to have a house warming party in a few weeks = D
I'd invite you all but the internet leaves stains on the carpet that you jsut can't get out...
but I <3 you all the same.
Ok, slight hyperbole, but this is ridiculous.
As a supreme court judge its her duty to uphold the constitution *not* to undermine it and its significance by saying the states can ignore it on a controversial issue.
So yeah...
Am i the only person who thinks that a supreme court judge telling the states to ignore the constitution when it's her job to uphold it is retarded?

If you've walked between selly oak sainsbury's and the medical school end of uni at any time you'll have noticed the half finished new road, well it turns out they're going to bring that down
behind victoria halls to join bristol road where tescos express is now.... DEMOLISHING THE TESCOS IN THE PROCESS
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Heh yeah I'd heard about that. Doesn't fuss me that they're getting rid of it :P sucks for people in Selly Oak though = )
Or you could invest money in green technologies so that when you hit a breakthrough or whatever you've got the start of a new industry which can be based in the nation, thus being beneficial to the economy and the environment at the same time?
The cap and trade stuff is crap, but you can be environmentally friendly and economically sound at the same time. Case in point, cars which run on renewable resources. Invest in that, subsidis to an extent the creation of manufacturing facilities in the nation and voila, new jobs!

Yeah, lots of people have that problem. I'm kind of lucky in that I live in Birmingham anyway, so when I moved out of halls I more or less moved straight away into the hosue I was renting.
Where you living for uni next year?

It was never really on the cards. The elections were primarily county ones not city ones, and the coutny ones have almost always been traditionally Tory strongholds. Derbyshire going tory was a shock, as was Lancashire.
Lib Dems losing somerst and Devon, whislt a bit pants, isn't that bad. they were the incumbents there for the past decade, so its not surprising it switched.

The local council elections are to decide which parties cotrol city and county councils. It also incldues a few mayoral elections. Basically it to decide which party runs your local area.
The results themselves mean that Labour are finished. Last I checked they got a projected 23% of the national vote, pushing them into 3rd palce behind the Liberal Democrats (28%, a rise of 3%) and the Tories (38%, roughly the same as last time round).
Have to spend today sat in my house from 8.30- 5.00 waiting for my 3 peice suite to be delivered.... stupid company and their non specific delivery times....
Is now a good time to mention I just gt myself a girlfriend and am deliriously happy?

There are numerous clubs in C and C dedicated to various forms of music, in terms of finding new music, you jsut go to them, take a look and see whats there,m ask for some advice and voila. Same goes for the DVD thread thinking about it. You could easily start a DVD crew, which would be more condusive to discussion as it doesn;t get every tom dick and harry seeing it and going ' I bought a DVD I'll post my list!', but still gets attention as its a thread and not on userpages.
As for the discussion within that and the DVD thread the level may not have been to standard. Ie the +1 post to proper post ratio was too low. There may have been discussion but not at a level that was satisfactory.
Either way, I wans't involved ( either at all, or very little) with the decision to lock either thread, so all I can offer is conjecture.
