They pretty much only explained Mr. Manhattans Origin of power.

None of the other charachters have any powers they're just well trained. Closest to anyone else having powers is Ozzymandias with his being the smartest man in the world.

Overall the movie should have been focused more on Mr. Manhattan and there were a FUCK load of things that made absolutely no difference to the plot whatsoever.

Go read the comic. Seriously, then you'll understand why they didn't focus on Manhattan.

And this is my problem with the movie. the fact that I have to tell people to go read the comic to make sense of the movie at times grates me somewhats. I still enjoyed it, but parts of it could have been done better.

Look at English in comparison to properly latin bsed languages such as French and Italian.

Theres a huge difference. A lot of the English lanuage is based on Germanic languages used by the Saxons. It's why English is such a good lanugage to swear in, lots of short sharp sounding words ( Sames goes for German and russian) which yiu don;t get in properly latin based languages.

English isn't solely derived from latin but from like evey language in Europe. There's Saxon, French, German, Latin, Viking words, and thats not even counting the words that we got from having an empire form places like India.
