lyxek: thanks man. i get the comparison to ren and stimpy a lot (thanks! great compliment in my eyes). i think ren and stimpy is one of the only shows out to carry the torch of solid, golden age cartoon styles. i like ren and stimpy, but i like tex avery and looney tunes adn stuff even more! hopefully someday people will tell me my stuff looks like looney tunes!

anyway, think you guys can keep quiet about something? i wanna share a little animation preview and share a bit about my animation process.

underneith you will see really rough drawings in a low opacity. that's my animatic. i rough out my WHOLE film super rough. i do a soundtrack and then cut up all the scenes into their own .fla's for rough animation.

i dropped my animatic in, put a box of high opacity white over it, and i've been starting to animate. this is my rough animation where i go in and just try to get the basic motions down. i don't try ot get details or anything else. i'll do that when i tie down the key drawings and get ready to clean stuff up.

FINALLY. done with animatic. got a FAT head start on paintings. broke up my animatic into scenes. now i can start ROUGH ANIAMTION! the funnest part. i probably won't be smiling like this when i have to clean it all up and color it tho.

Tommy-Gun: Animation to come in the future! Trying to write the funniest stuff possible before I go into production. This is my favorite part of film making... the idea and brainstorming part!

More preliminary character design work. Trying to keep these characters SUPER simple so I can animate the SHIT out of them. When characters are too complex, they take too long to draw and clean up and it's just a mess. Anyhoo...

prelim sketches of a character for an upcoming cartoon i really wanna write. he was gonna be a preacher but i think i want to make him a door to door salesman. i'm trying to get realy simple designs for this next cartoon so i can animate the SHIT out of them, and not have to spend so much time doing small details. teh more extreme i can make the animation, the better the cartoon will turn out.
