By posting the word "fail" you have consigned yourself to eternal idiocy. Your post per day ratio is obscene, and most of your posts are inane and useless.

I'd say you're a worthy candidate for worst new user of 2007.

This is a valid topic, addressing an ironic and interesting issue.

Thank you,
He is correct Banco would be the correct Spanish Spelling but Banco del America is wrong because even in English no one says Bank of the America and Spanish does follow many of the same rules. Banco de America would be more correct.

What I find more interesting is the lettering is never lit till after latenight and a spotlight is used instead. I took this photo believe it or not 4:30am in the morning PST.

Actually many folks you would not expect live in Summerlin. Every so often a new area becomes more low income. They are even threatening low-income housing near the Bank area.

I will admit I will always hate smoking. I despise the smell and the fact that people can get addicted to it.

Yet, I hate lawism even more. The idea that making laws to control my opinion that smoking sucks. I do not feel I have the right to tell people that they cannot smoke in pubs and bars. I live in Las Vegas and they recently banned smoking in Restaurants and bars that serve food. My problem with banning them in Bars is how many people really are non-smokers in bars? It is like a culture of smoking and drinking. To me, i just do not see the point in banning smoking. In Vegas, the casinos would suddenly go out of business quite rapidly without smoking. In fact, all casinos who have no smoking fail. Why? Because smoking is part of the casino atmosphere, it is a necessary evil to survive as a casino.

As a country that values the individual, smokers should be protected from being singled out. Smokers are sadly being used as pawns to slowly deplete our rights as citizens to control and protect out own lives.

Race may be an illusion used to make others feel inferior but saying racism does not exist is a fools plea.

The problem with racism is by nature or cultural brainwashing we naturally use racist terms without thinking. Just the idea of saying people of a specific culture always follow a specific trend or path is a prejudgment. We all in a subtle way are racist.

We stay away from people who look different. We judge our abilities because of our color or ethnicity. We even name most people of European descent as "White" or Caucasian. Everyone else is looked at to have culture and if you are a majority culture you do not. These are all lies.

Are there differences yes. Yet, it is more true to individuals than in large groups.

It depends on what you define as cool. If being all-powerful and all-knowing is boring then God is boring. Yet, if you find the fact that science fails 100% to define God and even less purpose and meaning then God answers sometimes more questions than science can.

Irrationalism is one of the pieces that makes people so mad about the concept of God too. To me, man's ambition for total power and domination of other people is more boring than God. The idea we just somehow randomly exist makes life too boring.

A God that understands the nature of man so much that he chooses to take the place of man's failure and pay the debt that obviously both Christian and Jewish concepts of original sin/sinful nature or human nature by evolutionary rational thinking. Even science agrees in man's inability to be perfect. They may not call their foolish actions sin but they do agree with the imperfect nature of creation.

One should understand that boring is an aesthetic and ill-provable point because we all believe differently what is cool and what is most definitely not.

Is it a great piece depends on the audience. I especially love your play on color. This is a very playful piece.

This is not a good example of cubism. First of all cubism must feature multiple perspectives of ones body. Your images are flat and abstracted; yet, the piece fails to show any multiple aspects. Picasso's card player should help you see what I mean. Nothing gets clipped off of it. A four legged chair has all legs rather than letting perspective block it out. A side profile is met by its opposite side.

Is it good art?

Its not too busy.

It is a great example of muralism which does not cease to tell a story. It may be a vague story but it seems as if you are trying to tell us a little bit about your subjects.

Nice piece overall just no what people usually call cubist.

Topic: Why God exists. Undeniable truth...

Posted: 03/10/07 10:01 PM

Forum: Politics

It is interesting how people try to stand up for the worldviews with such anger and frustration.

I would never assert that I can prove the existence of God. Perhaps, I can prove it for myself but asserting such a notion for others seems inappropriate.

Evolution is based upon observable and inferable information gathered and collaborated. The truth is science may one day say man evolved from something else. We can only base science on what is scene. Gravity cannot be seen nor can electricity. Science says it is caused by a force which can only be diagrammed. Yet, if we deny these claims we deny what we can calculate and demonstrate such as rockets working computers etc. Does it mean we have to look at evolution as more then a theory no. Micro evolution can be proved and even many creationists will agree it has happened. For example, human color variations which observably make perfect sense. Africans live in hot climates so they have dark skin. Yet, macro evolution makes much larger leaps and says millions then billions without much factual evidence to back up such information. The only reason why it is so simple to believe is because it is taken for granted as fact. Not that it could not be true but there is no evidence besides someone educated and observable guess.

Religion goes to the unobservable so thus it cannot be proven within the bounds of science. Infinite does not exist in science only finite. Yet, science cannot infer "the beginning" either. It cannot explain how it began because even the big bang theoretically would have something before it. A universe, planets, species etc? Who knows. Religion serves to create something from nothing whether paganism, Judeo-Christian and Islam, or even Hinduism. All start with chaos. Yet, science can only fit with the observable and not faith.

Science is a collection of knowledge based upon and guided by observable and tangible objects.

Religion or faith require believing in the unseen and infinite which cannot be fathomed by science.

It's loosely based on puritan culture which says that sexuality is for a couple and not public information. The truth is America and many other North American cultures tend to censor pretty heavily.

I agree censors can go to far and in some ways build a bubble around reality and media reality. On the other hand using choice words redundantly also gets old. I am glad that certain words stay off regular television but it does procreate a false image.

The truth is because of 9/11 many things that were considered "Boys will be Boys" have been thrown out. I am currently studying in Nevada the Teacher School law and it is pretty clear that penalty should fit the crime.

I do not feel its a felony though especially for a minor. Its most likely a misdemeanor but you did say it was Texas. We all know who comes from there.

Too me, the kid should be put into mandatory 100 hours of community service or a month of detention along with Mom and Dad paying the bill for the fire departments troubles. To me, fire alarms should not be a simple device to set off.

In my school back in Maine, somebody set off the alarm with a basketball. There really needs to be a more logical way for only faculty and staff to set off the alarm.

As a student who is now a teacher I say let it go. If you let his life irk you, he wins. You are stronger than you think you are. Bullies suck believe me they do but later in life I learned how neglected this bully was by his own parents. It even made me hurt inside. I will say I have learned to forgive him and fight bullying in my school.

Posted: 03/04/07 03:11 PM

I would be very careful in saying something has a better impact. Anything that substitutes for something else can be turned into a catalyst that leads people down a path of immorality.

I understand that back 2000 years ago both Greeks and Romans were well known for using prepubescent boys for sexual gratification. I do not feel this practice needs to ever become normalized. Destruction of innocence is dangerous and destructive.

I feel as a child who was abused it is my right to say that this is in fact a horrible alternative to the real thing. The mind has to cloud out things immoral in order to get away from it. Pedophiles will no reform because now they can look at it. Like alcohol and drugs the only way to cure yourself is to close it off from ourselves. The reason why many nations fight sexual child abuse is because it is viewed as wrong. The more we accept lolicon the more we could in fact accept more horrible acts in the future. American still has to put a stop to the man boy love group which is gaining grounds in the country.

I for one am not huge on censorship of since many mange are that depict child nudity in innocence like Zatch bell and Young Goku are not harmful. Yet, depiction of child eroticism is not okay because in many ways it is loss of innocence.

Crossing this line is not a smart or artistically acceptable practice.

This is a common misconception about words in a generally Euro-centric country. You are correct some words if used within the correct context cease to be offensive. In some African-American culture the "N" word is used as a term for brother or friend.

This may sound foreign but it seems as if some of us need to cross to the Mexican border to understand this concept. Names like Buay/Cabron (donkey or asshole), pendejo (faggot) etc are used all the time by Mexicans and are ways of showing membership of friendship with one another, Heck Gordito (fat boy), moreno/negro(black), flaca(thin girl) are even used by Mexican parents to talk lovingly to their kids.

In fact, telling it like it is how parents show that a child's identity is special. So a kid is fat but that kid is their fat kid.

Yet, just like English these terms become bad when applied to unknown people or in anger. These terms walk on a thin line.

The "N" word can only be used by African Americans because of its history. For an obvious pail skinned American like myself, I know better than to use it. This honestly is not the biggest problem. Its part of living in a complex society like the US or Britain. I may hate the term yet some African Americans use it not to offend but to remember either their history or membership within their culture.

Also this so called statute or law will not stand because I am almost certain this fails be constitutional in either NY State or federally under the first Amendment.

At 3/4/07 02:27 PM, JakeHero wrote: Meh, I kinda understand. Why should an inferior human-being occupy the space in society of a much more useful one?

Its not as simple as one would think to prove that infants or fetuses who show signs of disability in the womb are actually disabled. I have worked with mildly disabled to all the way to severely disabled so I understand the ethics behind wanting to save the child a life of pain and suffering in an over demanding society.

Yet, there is no proof that we know the outcomes of every child and his or her disability. Any highly functioning disabled child for the most part can graduate from high school. This is the reason why it can be a really difficult decision to cut off life. As an educator, whether I like it or not I must view my children in the positive light. I choose to do this on my own but this is the norm for modern educators.

I argue if one does not know what it is like to enjoy children with special needs they should volunteer. No body should have the right to euthanize a child like this unless they truly know these children. I have seen many who do not seem to suffer like society thinks they do.

The other truth is in a world with democratic governments this idea of "usefulness" does not exist. We cannot simply abort them because they are no use to us. It is a communist philosophy and not a democratic one. We are not keepers of life and death. Neither are we "cogs" that are thrown out when we cease to be useful.

Posted: 02/18/07 08:08 PM

Forum: Politics

Universal healthcare is no simple issue to adopt or scrap.

In one side there are many folks in poverty who need care that is too expensive for many folks to consider affording.

The other side is America does not have as much money as one would need to support such a measure. Socialized Medicine as its real name is super expensive. If America could rebuild its ability to produce farming and manufacturing it could work. Yet, when the nation has too many people already on welfare and that can hardly be afforded it does not sound like a simple matter to introduce it.

Anyone who thinks Canada, France, or England's system works better talk to the people. Americans value having spending money but with a true Universal healthcare 70% of Americans income could be in the forefront. This how much its costs the French.

Real cute Poxpower but what about we people who think we actually come to God on our own accord? Truth be not all Christians are Calvinists. First of all if you do not belong to a church than this post is about a mediocre as an evolutionist trying to prove the Big Bang is a better explanation than intelligent design which is impossible because both are....hmm... how can I put it.... Theories and not facts.

Affecting free will is for the Calvinists so not all Christians will be easily bought on your lego theory.

First of all God does not need sex in the Judeo-Christian worldview. Even Christ creation happens when the "spirit of the Lord fell on Mary" this is not the same as Greek culture where a God literally has sexual intercourse with a woman. It is the same as the creation an event so irrational that science will never understand it. Science can only try to understand why one would believe this and not how this could happen. It just defies science.

What would you call Genesis then? I hope you will agree that the earth IS round, and that it does revolve around the sun. Is the word of God in it's enteriety simply wrong?

I got news for you the belief that the world is flat as you put it is not a Christian nor a Hebrew belief it comes from Aristotle. Before you write off Christians with the wrong beliefs and theories understand where a false belief comes from. I will agree this was a believed by early Christians but by blind conceit. Unlike those who lived in the time of the Bible I actually read it. This was not true of early Christians because the world was not literate. I am an accomplished student and bilingual and would like if you people would quit assuming I am some blind believer in my parents faith. I will agree that my belief in God is irrational but it does not write me off as stupid like many of you folks in Newgrounds seem to assume.

I have liked some of your responses but picking someone beliefs because you hold a worldview that excludes irrational thinking is ridiculously shortsighted and narrow minded. I am a teacher of multiculturalism so I don't know where you get the idea I am narrow minded idiot. My worldview allows for the rational (science) and the irrational. I am sorry you do not see the world through my eyes but assuming people who hold to the bible are idiots and have low IQs is a foolish move for anyone. If you read the bible thoroughly you would understand that saying that parts of the bible are invalid and then saying you believe in God is in it self a life of a Hypocrite and that I am not.

I have the right as a human being to believe in what I want. Science it its self cannot explain miracles and a infinite God. It is just as limited as observation and inference based on that which is seen. So people believe in a God. Not everybody who believes is a moron.

Actually that is only part of the Bible. True the account of creation in Genesis by many is that it is poetic. First of all it is the idea of creating something out of nothing. It also speaks of vacant areas becoming filled with life. I myself have no difficulty fathoming that this could have happened it does not bother me either way. Yet, to call the accounts in Genesis merely fables or legends is to come into scrutiny by anyone who honors the word of God. One must not forget that the Bible's scriptures warn against butchering and adding to the word of God which is the reason why Mormonism and Islam have been more than once deemed extra-biblical and unquestionably cults rather than parts of Christianity and this includes Jehovah Witnesses who have removed scriptures since they started.

As Christians, we must be careful what we allow to be said about the word of God because doctoring out passages or writing them off as unnecessary can in itself void the Bible as a completed holy book. Much work was done to canonize the Bible to validate that all books do not contradict each other.

Remember trying to compare the Bible with science does not work because science does not leave room for miracles which are irrational. Science has observable and experimentable data which miracles are under the notion that for some supernatural reason it was healed or it happened.

There are some passages that fit with History but some do not only because either the story contains too many supernatural undertones or the Bible is the only source of document that gives account to certain Hebrew events. Yet, books like Esther are quite believable and so are most of 1&2 Kings and 1&2 Chronicles and many of the books that speak of the exile of the Israelites. Not all the books of the Bible contain irrational thought but science can only understand the impact of religion but not the unexplained.

1) the ability to rise up to even the highest class of society

2) the unity of multiple cultures, faith, and philosophies

This is part of the major core of American culture.

Whose to say what is true and what is not.

Think about it. Science does not leave room for an all-powerful invisible God that knows all and sees all. The idea of infinity cannot even be fathomed by science.

Science is built on the ideas of the seen and observable world. God is the unseen God. In fact, Judaism and Christianity lest I forget Islam all speak of a God without man-made form. Christianity and Judaism are the only faiths that do not put the believer in responsibility for his or her sins. There must be a sacrifice by a perfect being. Which in itself is a problem for science, Science can only base itself on tangible and probable circumstances.

Science is limited by mans abilities in themselves to observe and infer on what is rational.

The concept of God is irrational. I can understand why so many atheists find creation or religion so hard to fathom and to believe. Most atheists want a clear concrete picture of truth and fact.

A religious person is honestly an irrational thinker by default. We believe in faith which is based off irrational principles. A God that is infinite, a savior born without a male seed, a world that could be young and miracles that logically defy science.

To be religious or seek after a faith is a ridiculous claim to science. Oddly, if God exist, he is the most irrational being ever. He defies science.

The reason why religion especially Christianity is despised by science is because by nature it defies reason.

A question is there such thing as a rational scientific God. My answer is no. Christianity teaches that we will be viewed a lunatics...princes of fools among men and women. Why are we so quick to pick on science. Science has no place for God because of its nature to be observable and provable based on experiment.

I may value science as a teacher but as a Christian I must accept that I am too an irrational thinker. This does make me a fool among men but therefore saved unto my God.
