not much wrong as far as I can see.

the light source seems to be coming from the top right. then I would shade the lower shin of the (our) left leg. same for her boob, but maybe youll loose to much depth.

the (our) right boob seems a bit squashed. it just looks a tad uncomfortable.

her pinky? a bit weird

if you look at her lap for longer then a few seconds it seems like there is water between her legs. shading problem I think. I think its because the light moves over the (our) left leg pretty far, but the right one somewhat less. this creates sort of a filing between her legs.

personally I feel that the shoes could use a tad more detail to conform to the rest of the picture.

nice drawing!!

Response to: Wanna help me with a tattoo? Posted October 25th, 2012 in Art

Well you could choose to go for anatomy bodies like this

this is also possible in black and white, and you have way more classier versions of these. This would eradicate the skin problem. and partly the age question.

Since you have pretty much variables I would suggest that you first figure out somewhat more what YOU want. Also I would provide samples of what styles you like.

Its great that you want to involve the artist in the design, but they will do this anyway and I for one am very confused by reading what you want in the first few paragraphs and then suddenly you want capt america???

Also a question like 'should it have shading or background' kinda makes it seem like you have no idea what you want. You have the "what should my tattoo portray" down, but now the actual graphic part needs to be elaborated a bit more imo.

but idk maybe someone knows exactly what you want.

Response to: Wanna help me with a tattoo? Posted October 25th, 2012 in Art

I think its difficult to make something where 3 people carry the world, without the world itself becoming to large. maybe 1 dude in the middle frontal and two on the side from a side view will work idk. it sounds a pretty technical

You guys know what pretentious is: Attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed.

The next question- how can something be pretentious if it is created by you? Have you stolen any material? Seriously stop using words that you do not understand.. Now that comment is a little pretentious by the fact that you don't know what the word pretentious is...

A picture can definitely be pretentious, and since you didnt get my comment Ill try to explain. We have this kinda "adam" looking figure above the clouds reaching out, and then maybe holding a 'divine' sword. This is a bit pretensions, just the setting and the atmosphere it is TRYING to set (to much, over the top, referencing to ... etc).

btw; seems like youre the one who doesnt really understand the meaning of the word outside its literal context. "how can something be pretentious when its created by you?" So I cant build a pretentious house, or car, or make pretentious clothes or whatever? of course I can, plus I can also qualify it as such.

and before this will result in a discussion about the meaning of the word, I will not go there, I am not a native english speaker so.. but I would like to point out that I did not really appreciate your comment, "srly stop using words you dont understand" its annoying and degrading. And since that is your first post on the NG forum ever, its also very juvenile.

I'm actually intrigued as well, finding out plagiarism is always a nice scandal ripe for abuse. Too bad other artists won't be given any attention because of how it's going to be centralized here.

So I'll be the party pooper and say this. If the OP doesn't respond, this thread should die. Any in favor?

Well the pics are removed, dont know if she did it herself or because they were flagged. (Like Decky who also removed pictures since yesterday somehow, as he explained because they were old.. coincidence?) There is one picture remaining that is probably not hers.

I dont think she will respond any time soon, especially since she was so persistent in her denial and now the opposite has been proven.

So finish your popcorn, its kinda over already.

That's the first time I've been refered to as a regular, strangly happy about that. Anyway, on the subject of my improvement I recently completed a course in creative media and digital arts where I first put digital pen to paper so to speak. I was coached in verious method and that how I improved. It's got to the point now where I don't even feel comfortable drawing with traditional methods anymore, something I'm not very happy with. Anyway there is my explaination for improvement. That and general practice.

Always good to get a mention anyway, also sorry for spelling, currently on my phone and don't have spell check :).

oke well, like I said probably a bit to easy on the trigger from my part, although I came to the conclusion because there didnt seem to be a progress at all (that doesnt say your pics arent any good, but that it surprises me how earlier work is better then later work). My main example was the long dragon that was still in your account yesterday, but now is removed.... Did you remove it because of the heat? or was it removed? in both cases something seems wrong.

I have no idea what your relationship with fearneh is exactly, but apparently she is your GF and You scouted her, so that makes things a bit shady concerning the overlays of which I got another example below.

most likely your pic is to big. max 4million pixels eg 2000x2000

when submitting something to the portal it wont crop for you

this is what I got so far (not finished), maybe you can say what else you want in this. I listened to the song (pretty nice song) and tried to give it my interpretation. I wanted to give him a sword in his hand but I dont think thatll fit the picture. I thought about an instrument, but since the song isnt instrumental I am not sure.

the thing in the back is a star, not the sun.

I still think it needs 'something' but why not let the creator of the song contribute?

Oh what? You can watch it on my YouTuube channel....... yeeeeeeeeeeee ha

I really like your drawings. The style is pretty unique, and very recognizable. You can point out your art within seconds from the art portal. This is a big compliment. Also the brightness of the pics are very nice.

One thing though, and i dont mean this derogatory, i am a bit tired of that girl. I mean many times her face has the exact same expression, just some different pose or clothes. It just seems you just redraw the same stuff over and over. I guess youre creating some kind of story with this girl and then its logical youre drawing her a lot, but as individual pictures it just gets a tad stale imo.

Dont get me wrong ive seen all your art uploaded here. Your dragon guy was pretty different, though with the same style.

I would love to see you do something else. Maybe draw your girl as realistic as possible, or something completely different in a different style.

Anyway those are my thoughts...

Could it be that since they have a red color to them it's drawing attention to them in a way that makes them look unnatural? Looking at my own hands, the skin under the nail is pinker looking than the skin on my hands, but it matches the overall color scheme. Maybe the nails look wrong because red is the wrong color? Maybe they should be closer to a yellow?

Actually yellow would probably make some sense as yellow nails are associated with disease and decay.

Yep that was pretty much it, needed a second opinion on that. I removed the red and used a dark 'dirty' yellow and lightened the nails up a bit. I used a schratch technique to fill it up highlighting and shading it a bit (you wont see it here, but it is noticble on a large size). I let the lining of the nails red since that is what turns red fast with an infection.

What worked is that the nails are less noticable and draw less attention which was necessary indeed.

It looks pretty awesome. The left hand is kinda of tricky because of the whole perspective thing but maybe adding a shadow to the arm (as illustrated) might clear up the perspective a little.

done (subtle shading)

As for the nails, they now seem to span the whole width of the finger. Leaving some skin next to it (as illustrated with the thumb and index finger) might make it look more realistic.

done and really cleaned things up!!!

The shadow on the nose left side looks a little weak, darkening it and adding a highlight might make it pop more.

I added shades, looks much better. I didnt add highlights, didnt really work, I tried.

also thickened the upper arm, and did something to the eyes (really like how that turned out). and brushed up some other minor things.

So you instruct I follow. Thanks a bunch, both!! much appreciated.

It was inspired by this piece I saw over in dA

C&C always welcome.

Last week I made a drawing for that sniper game topic that was around. I thought it would be fairly easy, but the right perspective, even with straight lines is a bitch.

I can find no errors in this pic so very well done, can I ask how you did this? how did you manage to keep the lines so parralell? since that was an issue for me, I dont know of a function in photoshop that gives me reference (only horizontal and vertical reference lines) other then my eye.

if I have to be picky the top right corner looks a bit off, but thats because those stones arent in line with the rest so you miss some perspective lines there. it creates the illusion (just a bit) that those stones are tilted towards the viewer. you can either add a similar long line like on the ground or make the stones less irregular so that they line up more to the rest.

alternatively you can just leave it like it is, which is evenly good :)
