Well I didn't expect this to be so difficult to guess. Can you think of something that uses light yellow more or less typically for it's packaging?
pack of butter?

wow, nice, much appreciated.
I figured (later on) that you didnt copy the layers but drawn over the first and then over the 1st and 2nd. it shows. I have to say that I didnt really invest a lot of time in the eye and the lashes since my main concern was to become familiar with the coloring technique. I definitely recognized the awkward starting position of the lashes.
Also I do not use a drawing pad, so I make the lashes with the line tool this can be a hassle sometimes and its difficult to let the lashes go from thick to thin that way.
I was wondering what opacity and flow setting you used? I changed mine quite a bit at different areas of the picture, but I think opacity never exceeded 33% and flow 45%
I could really use the comment at the highlights. in this case I just copied yours, but I find it difficult to get the shadings and highlight right. Its a very difficult thing to do imo. I use references a lot, but I try not to copy to much and then the reference cannot be used anymore for correct highlights and shadings.
your story made a lot of sense so thanks again. Ill make another eye soon enough
So I tried your eye tutorial. I have some questions if u dont mind.
I assumed you made one cyan layer, copied that layer and made it yellow right? cause I dont see any new lines in the second picture of the tut. this is what I did atleast, and I got a similar result (green). I then copied the layer (cyan) again and made it magenta (layer set to darken again). My picture now went grey. not purpulish like yours. did you do something else?
I worked on the colors using Hue, saturation and lightness. I messed around with all 3 on all the seperate layers. It didnt really change things, the end color stayed very blend.
Your eye also has a very defined iris, mine didnt have that at all. I added a touch of yellow.
it was fun to do. I hope you dont mind me posting this pic in your thread, no harm intended, I just would like some extra info in what you did and how I can do that.
thx

sure but that can be worked around. you can have both if you want

good that you mention this. I wouldnt dare to do this, but since a mod says it... I also see some dudes posting threads about this kinda stuff and then I check their account, see shitty art, but theyre scouted anyway, apparently in a time frame of hours. How they manage to do this is a riddle to me.
But yeah PMing scouted artist is not allowed it seems, doesnt surprise me. Or are you being the very strict mod you are toas?

It goes by a completely different name, but is incredibly more commonly called "that button on .....". Do the lines around the button give you an idea? Probably?
youre right. I cant unsee stiches, which doesnt really help if thats correct. maybe a click on button? I cant find a reference, the metal one that have metal counter part to be clicked in. on a shoe (tong)

I hope at least some of that made sense!
OMG! i was working on this small change for so frikking long it started to get very annoying. instead of pushing the mudguard back I wanted to get the other one more in the front. I tried and tried and tried and i couldnt figure out what to do. I then realized it was probably impossible because the (right) front mudguard and the beam werent really correct. The lines of that 'situation' there coudnt really be made from another angle. I then realized your idea was better.
But I didnt gave up! I tried some more and after, what seemed to be ages, I kinda got it right. I know its far from perfect, but I really cant do better then this atm.
I also changed a lot of other lines and worked on the wheels (front one looks much better now). Also I had to relocate the whole gun.
I will brush up some more details, but then I am calling this finished. Ill show the end result later on
thanks ReNaeNae, I appreciate it. it definitely made sense

Even if the tilting is intentional, the perspective and angles are inconsistent. I tried to 'red line' it, but it was a mess and confusing! Do you ever go into the stickam room? Might be easier to explain it out loud.
I really like the dents and 'bubbliness' of it ...probably my favorite piece of yours so far! :D
thanks a bunch, and no I dont have a stickcam account. I see you guys talking about it sometimes so I might sign up.
I think the biggest issue is the right lining of the lower front plate (the one with the bolts/screws). that right lining makes it look like its tilted towards the viewer messing up the whole pic. I am working on it, but like I said I lost the original file with all the layers so its a hassle for me.
btw lining up was hard for me since I dont know how (or if) I can draw reference lines that arent completely horinzontal or vertical. I mean there were several moments I wanted to place 2 (diagonal) reference lines that had the same angle, but I wasnt able to. is this possible in photoshop? all I know are the "rulers" lines I can place (only horizontal and vertical) and the "grid" function. Often enough I use the grid to count the number of vertical steps relative to the number of horizontal steps taken by a certain line as to make a corresponding line somewhere else, it feels (and probably is) stupid.
I think (and hope) that besides that front armor plate the perspective isnt too retarded, it might also be partially caused because of the encircled mudguard issue making it look even weirder. that to I will try to fix.
and.... adorable is close enough, I was going for a mix of cute slash tough style. like this
I added a little tankman for reference it wont stay there
