Were all guilty.... We've all stood and watched two idiots punching each other in a school yard.

Because it was out of the norm, and sometimes better than what we were originally doing.
What is it about violence that we enjoy?
It's a preference.
Shooting guns... explosions... boxing... shouting "Hit him with the chair!" while watching wrestling!
Explosions and guns can cause mass destruction... If thats what while you're looking for. And I don't watch boxing or wrestling
Sometimes it can make movies good, shootouts like Heat and Die Hard, where people are horribly tore apart by bullets.
Thats the answer to your own question.
But what's so entertaining about the horrible, brutal violence that we see on T.V and in real life?
Better than what we were originally doing.
