If any of you watch Criken (popular internet boy), you'd have noticed he live-streamed the Arma 2 mod, DayZ for four hours. Upon watching this, I orgasmed many times and bought the game. I do not regret it.

So, if you're a survivor, a bandit, an admin, or a conspiracy theorist, share your stories and tips here!
Currently, I play proudly as a Survivor, hating Bandit Scum.

Here, I'll share my story:
Earlier, my friend and I decided to do a raid of Stary Sobor. We were excited, so we rushed in without thinking too much. This was our most foolish mistake. While my friend was checking the loot in one of the barracks, I noticed another survivor at the end of the row. I got scared, and looked where my friend was, wondering if it was just lag. He was checking loot. I went behind the barrack, informing my friend there was someone there. Getting close to the other survivor, let's call him Black Shirt, my friend also locked eyes. Suddenly, three shots rung out from behind me, and my friend dropped over dead. Black Shirt's friend had snuck up behind my friend and shot him in the back of the head. I ran over to Black Shirt with my Remington 870, and shot him dead. Adrenaline pumped my system. I looked at my debug monitor and my heart sank.
Murders: 1
Humanity: 336
My Humanity was at 3320 not a moment before. Turns out they were Russian, which is why Black Shirt hadn't responded to my "Friendly?" call. I hauled ass out of there, mostly because my computer has a terrible FPS and can't handle gun fights. My friend had died, shot in cold blood, without warning. My first murder was avenging my best friend. I have regained my humanity to 3000, and hope to never again kill another Survivor.

That said, I fucking hate Russians. One tailed me from Balota to Chernogorsk just to kill me for my Remington. Thankfully, I aborted (from rage) before the server saved, so I still had my Remington and Frag!
He said, and I quote, "remington shutgunne very nic"
Everyone in chat promptly told him to "shut the fuck up".

ANYHOW, had to get that off my chest. Any stories of your own? The Radio thread on the official forums has me convinced there's some UVB-76 shit goin' on.

Although I've never had a job (and I didn't fully read your post trolol), I'd suggest option one. A work-at-home designer is good, but I don't think it'd be as great as real workplace experience. Thinking longterm, it'd be more impressive on your resume if you had already worked at a qualified job than make money with art on the internet, but I'm dumb, so that's just my opinion.

Welcome one and all! So, I decided, after watching my friend fail at installing CnCNet, I'd need more people to play with.
Foremost, you can get the games C&C: Tiberian Dawn/95, C&C: RA95, and C&C: TS at www.cnc-comm.com in the downloads section. They also feature many maps, mods, and a great community. Once done with your games, you can download the easy-to-use CnCNet at www.cncnet.cnc-comm.com in the downloads section aswell. If you used the default downloads for the games, it's a simple drag and drop procedure.

1. Get WinRAR out, your best buddy in the world.
2. Go into C:>westwood>C&C95 and Drag thipx32.dll from Winrar onto the window. Move and replace and you're good to go. Go to Multiplayer > Network for a nice surprise.

1. Follow the same procedure with Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 1. Simply drag and drop the wsock32.dll into the window(s). Again, go to Network for your best surprise yet!

So, I'll keep a roster of who's active and hopefully this doesn't die in a week.

Oh hey guys. Mind if I join? I also wanted to say I use Cube craft mostly because of the loading bar.

I got Contra for 25... Boxed Zelda II for 35. OH, and a boxed Super Mario Bros. 3 for 10 dollars. The box and manual are beaten up, but the cartridge is like new.

AHEM, there was once a survivor called Elitexf7 (My post-NG Persona) and his friend Deaf_Turtle. They wanted to conquer the world, or at least stay alive for 6 more minutes. But then it happened. We ran out of ammo. You guys know the map church siege? Well, we decided to camp in the bunker with 6 minutes left, shut the gate, and shot everything that moved. Sadly, I ran out of ammo and we ended up getting (Censored) up the (Censored) by (Censored), I think by 8 at least. So he stood there screaming at me and hitting zombies with a wrench while I accepted my doom. And then I decided to get off considering I was zombie 4 times in a row after that. So, share your experiences, OH, and help me update the Zombie Panic! Wiki. It's in desperate need of repair and salvage. I never knew how to change the angle with the carpenter hammer until I read that... >_>

And on a final note:

Observations of the show Bleach (up to episode 150):

- Ichigo needs to learn to use his sword correctly. Seriously, when is he going to learn that the bandages and chain can be used as a whip-like ranged attack. It's annoying...
- Ichigo also needs to learn to use his controlled zanpakuto. The 2nd state is pretty awesome, but it loses it's touch when ALWAYS used in the 2nd state.
- When did everyone decide to go crazy with Bankai? Isn't Bankai an extreme measure of spiritual pressure? Renji, Hitsugaya, and Ichigo all decide "Hey, I'm a master at unleashing Bankai, let's use it all the time, amirite?"
- Rukia seems to have power shifts. The very beginning she's what? An advanced footsoldier I think? Now she is supposed to be a ranked officer with footsoldier missions, yet sometimes she'll get her ass handed to her and others (i.e. her fight with Espada #9) she'll be awesomely badass.
- Orihime needs to learn to use a real weapon. When she is (Censored) she better train with Rukia to learn advanced hand-to-hand or a sword or something. Hell, Uryu used the Quincy "Sword" as soon as he had it. He may have trained with it a LITTLE while staying at the Urahara shop, but damn.
- Bleach is similar to a Shakespear play in that there's always a light moment in between or right after a dramatic moment, excluding very important events. It can be funny, and sometimes it can be annoying.
- Major fights with Ichigo and his opponent are always a tease. TWICE now, he's encounterd Grimmjow and still they haven't completely fought. It's so damn annoying...
- The relationship tension is a pain in the ass... I know it's Shonen, but god damn. Let's get a love interest involved. It's been teased so many times... It's impossible if both Orihime and Rukia "love" him, (Rukia has never completely shown loving affection, besides her execution brawl, up to this point)

Ugh. That's it so far. Now, time to get my homework done in 20 minutes to keep watching. Also, I've watched 40 episodes in the last two days. I think... around 18 hours I've been watching straight. I may need to go to ER for back surgery. Oh, and random filler episodes. Such a pain in the ass... kk, just wanted to rant. Love you!

Author's Notes.
So, I figure'd I'd take a poke at writing a web book. So Newgrounds, please be considerate this is my first test run. It may be stupid to you, but this is mine.

~CHAPTER 1: WEEK TWO~
Two weeks in Highschool and I can already tell everyone's an asshole. I walk down the short hall into the main Graphic Design room. Broken computer chairs that practically touch the ground with no backs and desk chairs litter the room ironically accented by the fifteen hundred dollars Macs that surround them. They shine a bright silver.
I am the third one into class. I search for a good seat in the midst of dead chairs. One opposite my spot. Perfect! I hurriedly walk over and switch out the chairs before anyone else comes in the room. I finally relax in my chair when Mr. Tano says, "Tim? Your name is Tim right?" I nod. "Good, can you pass these out?"
They are Do-Nows, something the board doesn't understand about electives. I respond with an annoyed sure. I decide it'd be best to just stand out in the hall and pass them out. Somehow the halls have become extremely crowded during my time in class. Sure enough, many walk towards me, some snickering, some silent. As each one goes in grabbing a sheet, a few make it pass blatantly ignoring me. I hurry in to give it to them when I hear, far down the hall, "That's right marshmallow, get back into class!" Laughing ensues. I catch a glimpse of them right before I step out of the hell. Tall, Junior, possibly Senior, accompanied by another Junior/Senior and AJ from my English class, a Freshman. Not good.
I end up having to pass them out in the classroom as more people have flustered in out of my line of sight. The two Juniors/Seniors and AJ walk into the room. One of the taller Junior/Seniors moves to the left side of the room. The other two move to my row. I am the third seat, the Junior/Senior is in the fourth, next to me, and AJ is in the fifth. I almost ignore them when something catches my eye.
AJ takes a pretty girl's chair, one that isn't broken and in fine condition and replaces it with a shitty chair with no back and much too high off of the ground. The girl walks in behind me. I go to look and I am stunned.
She is a Freshman, my age, 14, with dark, long black hair, with a slender body and beautiful eyes. She's breathtaking. She walks my way upset as AJ switches her chairs after I give her a Do-Now (With a stuttered "O-oh. Umm, here."). I look at them. The rest of the row is snickering. I grit my teeth and grab my good chair. I give it to her and take the bad chair. She says thank you and as we both dit down, she says "That's so nice." in a voice so innocent and delicate I am in shock. It's a voice that says she's shy but she is a young respectable woman.
After all is done, I go back to coloring my pattern. right, right, left, right, up, down, up, down, and repeat. I overhear that the girl's name is Sydney. Such an ironic name for such a shy girl. A few minutes later, she goes up to sharpen the tip of her colored pencil. Her coloring is fantastic. As I re-focus on my work, I hear on my right, "Yo, AJ, would you fuck her? I'd fuck her all out. She looks like that kind of girl that is just begging to be fucked."
I snap. Something inside of me goes off. My gears are in full motion. It would only take another and I would break down. I continue to color as the comment closes to a stop.
My mind is racing. Why? What kind of world do we live in when a mature man is suddenly a perverted, miserable pile of secrets? Thoughts go off in my head. Fighting, yelling, screaming, defending, blood.

Guns.

I just concentrate on the task at hand. I hear the sound of chair wheels and footsteps. AJ moves to Sydney's seat and takes it. I rise from my seat and grab the chair. Sydney has gone to the library, a prime excuse to get another chair. I don't let up. "Uhh... Tim? What the hell are you doing?"
"Let go, of the chair." I respond in a tone I have never heard me say. The upperclassmen are watching awe and howling like wolves in the night. He pulls. I stand my ground.
"Let go already fatty!" He exclaims in smug laughter.
Even for the most dumb things, I must defend a woman's honor. My hands turn into fists.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I live in Mid-New Jersey so that kind of tells you the situation I'm in.
But really, I don't think you're a man if you're some pervert who likes that kind of thing with underage girls and don't care about how a young lady feels when she is uncomfortable. That's not a man. No, that is a selfish kid. A miserable waste of space. I don't know about fighting for her honour however. My school is extremely strict 10 3-7 schools, I get arrested, goes onto my police record, court, being sued by the parents, No trip, no dance, no events, nothing. Now maybe if this was in the country side, I would most definietly do something. People in the mid west/ mid east actually have some pride and honor. I'm not sure about down south, but seriously.

Until, the asshole senior next to me who is TJ's GD buddy starts saying, "Yo, TJ, would you fuck here over there? I'd just fuck her all out. She has that look like she's begging to get fucked."
I'm like, "The fuck kind of world do we live in a 17 year old man speaks like a dumb ass pervert. Mind you, she's a freshman. A cute respectable young women. So I sit there getting madder by the second. So, when they leave to do something about their logins, I decide the girls should have nice chairs as the girl next to me (right of the cute girl at the end) complains her back hurts from no back support. So I end up grabbing a few chairs from accross the room and switch them all around. And as I finish and get back to work drawing, I hear laughing next to me. TJ says, "The hell? Hahahaha you're an idiot Tim! hahahaha!" So these assholes think it's funny to make young women uncomfortable? So, tensions become very high. Like, a fight is about to break out, high. But, after a few "Shut the fuck up."s and a shove or two, the next day comes. AGAIN TJ takes the pretty girls seat and I am forced to give her my chair. And, I do really like her she's the kind of girl I'm looking for. But in situations like these, being a gentleman is the right thing to do. So, the period went on and the pervert senior next to me says "Yo, he's a gentleman." (White, btw.) And I feel proud. I'm awaiting the next day. So Newgrounds, any comments and tell me, when the last time you met a true gentleman?

The only guns that you can rely on are snipers and rocket launchers as they kill in one as the AR is fucking more useless than in halo CE as at least it didnt fucking loose its accuracy the more you shoot. But the guns that have any worth have very short amounts of ammo.

Yes. Because guns that are extremely effective use the most expensive and best material bullets. Also, the AR is not some toy you spray with. Have you tried firing in controlled bursts?

So I cant use cover, guns suck, controls suck, enemys are OP pieces of shit, teammates dont do shit to help except kill the ocasional grunt and the enemy have lock on grenades that get me even when im in cover.

Now I know its not just me as I have completed halo ODST on ledgendary by my self with the only deaths being unlucky. Halo 3 was a bit ridiculous as enemy snipers in that game saw you, and killed you with in a split second so you had to know before hand there were snipers but at LEAST you could kill the enemys. In reach it feels like you cant even kill a grunt with the basic of weapons.

So you're saying you want the difficulty to be like Halo 3 when everyone bitched about how easy it was but now it's too hard?
Make up your fucking minds people. Do you want an actually challenging game that proves your worth? Or some achievement you spent 40 minutes getting saying how "Pro" you are and how easy and shitty the campaign is. Don't like the game, don't play it.

Hey guys. So I decided I'd remake a C&C thread considering the most recent one is from 2 months ago. Here we will play the old Westwood C&C games. We'll run on American time zones. Want to play in organised games? Just say your name, tell us what games you'll mainly play on CnCnet. I HIGHLY recommend you get CnCnet 2 as it can support up to RA2 but we won't play that until it's freeware. ;D. (Sept. 13th, 2010.) I'll play anything really. They are all fun but I think one of the best is TS or RA1. TS is cool but I haven't tested an online game and RA1 is... RA1. So, keep in mind this is only the games Westwood made. Anything past Renegade is really not for here.

Post and have some fun! ALSO, post your time zone, (et, pt, wt, East, Pacific(Mid?), West.) And I'll post a list of the time zones so everyone can be up to date.

So, I've watched all the H.O.T.D. episodes and read all of the manga. And I really don't see what the deal is. The anime/manga is based around "fanservice". I can't remember the genre, but If I am correct, it's filled with action and err, "emphasis" women for young men. Sure, some of the story is weak, but I sure as hell do enjoy to see how the characters evolve and grow. Some parts really cannot be taken seriously, but if you can get past all of the fan service, it's fine. Although, it might just be because I'm used to it... OH, and it is smoothly animated if I do say so myself.

I've laughed so many times at my friend Stephen... Like this one time he broke his ankle. He was running like a retarded mutant fish thing (We're nerds. And on the BBS.) and tripped on a very small curb. He then fell on the ground and pleaded for us to help him up. My friend TJ and I just kept laughing our asses off. Seriously, it was hilarous. (He's also the kind of guy that will find almost anything funny, if the situation permits. Not like, AIDS or the holocaust and stuff. Just friendly-ish situations, and if he doesn't sometimes he'll laugh about it later.) So, we tried carrying him back to TJ's house but these cute girls were walking by and we dropped him. So, we waited 40 minutes until his mom picked him up. And his mom thought he was over exagerating so he didn't go to the hospital for 3 days. It was funny.
