I'll start by posting mine:

I am a 17 year old aspiring musician who wants to produce more and better music. I do not receive an allowance from my parents, so I cannot afford all of those expensive VSTs that would make my music sound AWESOME. With the money I might earn, the first thing I will do is purchase Gross-Beat, a time manipulation plugin for those radical record skipping and scratching effects. I'll also be saving up to get Omnisphere, another music making plugin. Thank You for using my link and supporting me as an artist! Enjoy your IL software!!! :D

How did ParagonX9 gain fame? Posted November 23rd, 2013 in Audio

I'm not asking how to get NG famous here.
I am just curious, from someone who has been around for a while longer than I have, how they gained so many fans, and when. They don't make many songs a year, and there are a lot of artists on NG that sound very similar in style, so I was just wondering how they got so popular.

Ok, I am usually pretty knowledgeable when it comes to music production, but there is one thing that I can't seem to figure out: Ducking. I want to do the whole electro thing, making the synths duck under the kick, which seems like basic operation, but I looked online and everything about it was extremely over complicated, and it lost me. Is FL-Studio just really overcomplicated when it comes to ducking or have I just found some bad tutorials? Either way, can someone tell me how the whole thing works, because I'm lost. Thanks!

Also Kingdom Hearts, I really loved Kingdom Hearts. But damn, I still have the Traverse Town song stuck in my head!

Can't Upload Audio!!! Posted February 28th, 2013 in Where is / How to?

I am trying to re-upload a song to this site that I uploaded a while ago on a different account. But, when it finishes uploading the file, it gives me an error message saying, "This file is not a valid .mp3". The file plays in my iTunes fine, so I know it's not corrupted or anything. My only other guess is that the system has a feature to prevent plagiarism and it is rejecting the song because it already exists on my previous account. So, I went to my other account and deleted the submission, and it still said the same thing. I need a little bit of help.

Monsters & Mana Tcg Posted September 9th, 2012 in Art

Hey everyone, I am making a somewhat experimental TCG called Monsters & Mana! It will be print-and-play (with an instructional tutorial on it's website) and the cards will be completely user generated (there will be regulations, of course). I already have a complete How To Play / Rules / Regulations document and 25 completed cards (without art) (and also I am on my way to making 2 test decks with 60 cards each)! If anyone is interested in helping me make cards or card art or just wants help, by all means, message me! I need the help!

Once the website is launched (I also need help with web design/programming), the original 120 cards in the test decks will be launched with it. If you helped make a card, your username will be i the 'created by' section at the bottom. I cant wait for your input!

Here's an image of a blank Monster card:

If not Nexus, then what? Posted August 27th, 2012 in Audio

I know the Nexus ROMpler is frowned upon and I know why, but I still want to use a plugin that can produce the quality sounds that Nexus 2 advertises. What would you suggest?

I really want to make music in the genres techno/trance, dubstep, rock/pop, and also orchestral. I have done some research but have not found anything really satisfactory. I am not limiting myself to a ROMpler, I would be fine with a sampler/sample pack, or even a synthesizer. Just something I can use without needing to do so much sound design (which I know how to do, but am not very good at). Any suggestions? Or should I just risk it and get the Nexus 2?
