Response to: How do i make a cool flash movie? Posted March 26th, 2011 in Animation

Usually it takes about a day before you get a response.

Furthermore, if you were to show the animation, we'd be able to give you some advice.

But you can also try keep practicing because that makes perfect!

My adventure of sucking less Posted March 25th, 2011 in Animation

Greetings, fellow newgrounders. I've toyed around with Flash 8 for quite a while now, done some of this, some of that but i never really improved nor made any big animations. That's why I've decided to go from completely shitty, to less shitty.

And that's where I need your help.

I'd like you to think of some short animations to help improve my abilities, so that my animations posted here will go from completely crappy to somewhat acceptable.

Thanks in advance!

Besides there is as much copyright on that script(using names without permission) as an episode of Spongebob made by WMG.

-not make stick men
-make a simple run cycle/walk loop
-work on your art backgrounds
-write a simple funny story
-storyboard it (draw out all the key moments emotions camera angles)
-do up the animatic (all the basic movements)
-draw the key frames
-then the inbetweens
-finally add the colour
-work on sounds and music audio portal freesounds.org etc.
-add the preloader and menu easter eggs whatever you want
you're not going to be brilliant at first but after your third or fourth serious flash you should get the hang
also it depends on what genre you're going for anime style action all kills n thrills
or a well thought out joke........or a deep emotional piece that makes people cry
or just some crazy moving stuff to music and call it experimental :P
hope this has helped somewhat!
I hope this helped

To add to that, search youtube for tarboy animatic for a great animatic by one of newgrounds' best animators. Flashkit can work wonders for sounds, the Animator's Survival Kit can teach you some nice techniques, watching Disney's works (Snowwhite n stuff) can give you a good impression of walk cycles and fluid motions, watching Cartoon Networks cartoons in slow-motion can give you hints about a technique called ''motion smearing''. Maybe watch the animations by Adam Philips, James Lee and other talented animators on Newgrounds!

Just make sure to surround yourself with stuff you want to do, and practise a lot!

Response to: I Seek Guidence Posted September 4th, 2010 in Animation

Well there's a huge difference between making an animation and animating, and learning flash's interface. What exactly is it that you're willing to learn?

Response to: windows live movie maker Posted August 29th, 2010 in Animation

Animations made in WLMW cannot match the quality of real flash animations, plus it's too tedious and hard to make. You'd be better off spending a few bucks on the student version(given that you are one) of flash. In addition to that, Newgrounds only accepts .swf files, and I'm not sure if WLMW supports that.

Oh ho ho. Deal with it.

If you were truly a good ssbb player you can blind dodge.

Now what's REALLY unfair is playing online while some fagola Pikachu spams his down-B while you're in a cramped map.

Or playing with items or with another character than fox HOHOHO

In any case, if you try to record a game with fraps, it will drop your framerate by a bunch, so make sure you either play on low settings with those special physix on, or play on high without it, that works for me.
