Squashing them is part of the scoring code I posted above. It'll be something like each black ant you squash you get +1 point, and each red ant you squash you get -2 points.

Instructions: The ball will bounce to the location of your mouse. Maneuver to ball to squash the black ants but avoid the red ants.
What needs to be completed?: Scoring code and better looking ants.

What I said before I'll say in greater detail:

Put the vcam on your stage and using the Elastic Mouse Chaser tut on AS: Main as an example, put a code into the instance of the cam on stage that will cause it to follow the mouse with a speed depending on how far it (the mouse) is from the center.

Reverse the code so it's inside each platform, making each variable that belongs to the player have _root.player (or whatever the instance name of the player is) in front of it, and make the hittests (if this.hitTest(_root.player)){ . Then the platforms won't need instance names.
