It's only one track. and it's not a mic recording, we were both playing around with the key board. So I can't understand what's up with the size.

I'd bet almost anything that its a WAV. Go convert it to MP3 like he said and your set.

At 2/4/05 07:04 AM, Fuel2Fire wrote: Good points. But if voting on audio submissions had some point then people WOULD take the time to vote. So by giving a reason to vote, like uping your rank and exp points like the flash portal then people might actually vote.

I know some people will vote zeros to kill the competition but there are many songs over 4.00 rating so a lot of people are voting fair.

With the votes meaning something for the voter, increase in EXP points, and the 5 minimum rule before showing actual rating, it gives the artist a more fair chance to have his music rated where it belongs. And like you added, incentive for the voter, increased EXP points. This works in favor both ways.
Thanks for giving me the tool to improve my idea so it would actually work.

This is EXACTLY what I've been wanting. I wrote Wade about an Audio BBS months ago and it finally happend. If this happens there will be enough fair votes to get rid of all the 0 votes that you get from others. If you go and vote 0 ona good flash right now, you hardly move it down because there are so many votes on it. This would be the PERFECT way to solve the audio portal voting ordeals. Just implement the same Blam and Protect system.

Ummmmm saying FL using scumbags isn't cool at all....aside from your hrash remark....I do agree 100% with what you had in your link about the AP needing blamming and stuff as well as reviews counting.

At 4/22/05 08:04 AM, Khuskan wrote: I got a question.

Why use fruitloops when you can use real music software to origional results instead of limited sampling and beatbox meathods that produces pretty much the same style of music all the time.

Did ParagonX9, probably the most acclaimed music artist on the AP use fruityloops? No he did not. He used Reason 2.5. I use Reason 3.0, both of which are software which requires reasonable ammounts of musical knowledge to even get started in the first place.

Ok I appreciate its easy to use, and i'll even appreciate that not everyone is comfortable with Reasons hefty £600 price tag, bu t as far as I see it, any program where you dont actually have to be able to play an instrument isnt a decent piece of music software.

Fruityloops is to audio what Swish is to flash. Cheap.

FL is cheap all alone...It is a crafting tool. I use it and I'm able to get good results out of it. Also, not all songs made with FL are generic beatbox songs. Czer323's Techno Fun5 Fixed is a great example of what can be done with FL; and thats an old song. I'm not saying Reason is bad at all. It is a superb program. One that I will use in conjunction with Cubase SX 3 when I wire them into FL. But FL is a lot better than most people think, it just depends on how well you know how to use it and that plugins you have.

Response to: Composers Guild Posted April 22nd, 2005 in Audio

This is interesting, but how would one go arround deciding which flash compisition request is suited for which composer. For instance, how would the artist to make the song be decided based ont he request. Would you have a list of songs wanted by people and then an artist would choose the song from the list and thus it would be marked off that way there aren't two composers working on the same song? Hope I didn't confuse you lol.

You should upload some of your work onto the Audio Portal so people can see what your music is like. That would help your goal 100X more.

Not a clue, I just hope its not all Pokemon :p. I'm thinking they will draw more supporting characters from other great Nintendo games like Diddy Kong and Wario.

All you got is another studio could pick it up and do a half assed job.

Hal Laboratories' Masahiro Sakurai is the "man," not "studio"who left. That was back in 2001. Hal Labs is still under Nintendo. Masahiro Sakurai was the director of the SSB series. I'm sure Shiggy or another Nintendo buff could do just as good a job directing the next SSB game.

I'm most curious about what new Nintendo Characters they can use. I mean, they cant use every pokemon lol. I was thinking perhaps some other Diddy from DKC? Also, it would be cool if characters could have SUPER power ups that lasted a very short time. Like Ganondorf could turn into Ganon...perhaps a a type of item can be the triforce, and if you collect all 3 you get the super form of your character :D.

Hell. Yeah. This is gonna be awsome. If they add Online play to Revoultion it i'll be as good as the PS2 And sony will be driven to the ground.bwaahahahaahhaahha

Revolution will be online right out of the box, it has Wi-Fi built in. Nintendo learned their mistake with not having a plethera of online games ont he Gamecube.

Actually, SSB would probably hae minimal lag because its a sort of 2Dish sidescroller bases game with polygons. It's not like Halo or Socom where you have lots of big environments to lag you. Plus, we have come even further in internet performance on games since the the current systems that use it. I think lag would be no problem on the NR.

Thats a big negative. It's called im 19 and your 15. It's also called I grew up with Mario and Zelda on the NES and being able to kick other peopels butts with them online would be awesome. So how about you ask your mom to buy it since your not legally able to hold a job yet.
same here man, i grew up with mario and luigi, the first thing i EVER play was smb, i grew up with nintendo and will always buy nintendo, i don't take no shit from those asshole "psp fanboys", but i just hope the revolution will have voice chat online, no online game can pwn without it!

Indeed, I always use Ventrilo or Teamspeak 2 when I'm playing PC games online. No doubt it will have it since X-Box and PS2 both have that capability as well. Nintendo tends to be inventive, so Im curious how they will impliment the microphone...perhaps in the controler??? That way people can hear it hit the wall when someone gets mad after the person get their butt kicked Online :p.
