Its been over 3 days for me... I think its something wrong with the coding on the portal :(

Before I think about doing this I need to understand something clearly. Do we actually share files on our songs because not everyone uses the same programs; or do say 5 people work individually on 5 different genre of songs?

Still has 1 DL cuss of this, hope this gets fixed >_< I want to DL songs.

For some reason whenever I click to DL a song on the portal right now i get a blank white screen. I'm thinking I am not the only one with this problem because songs other than mine that I have looked at have not increased in DL's...not even by 1. Can anyone shed some light on whats going on?

Im going to be blunt and honest about everything I say here. I really have not said much about this entire thing, but I really thing MrMcPooner has helped in a very calm and adult manor for the most part in his attempt to get people ranked. I did this contest simply for the competition aspect and not to get a review. There has been far to much immaturity, hating and flaming amongst the people in here. It would take a tremendous amount of change to get me into the next BotAP. Good luck on working everything out though.

Thats what I'm talking about, when somsone says its perfect and stuff and gives a 9, its annoying lol.

For some reason the thing that annoys me more than anything else is when someone give me a GREAT review and say how much they enjoyed it and how good it was and then give me a 9/10 instead of a 10/10...just seems wrong how someone can say so many good things and not give it a 10 lol.

No contest is perfect at start, but I think the point system mentioned is the way to go. Also, if you want a contest to go far you should be serious about it especially if your the host. In addition, artists want both feedback and reputations not just feedback. The point of a contest is to get a winner and such. If this entire thing is just to get feedback to artists on songs and not get a winner and such you shouldn't base it as a contest. It should be a review board for people who are trying to work on music and get feedback. If you wanted to make a musical contest I would probably do what that Dwelling of the Duel thing is doing. It seems like very orgnaized and fairly foolproof way to get a winner in a contest. This entire battle just seemed like a review board thing based on the opinions of 4-5 people to me, which is very narrow, and not an actually contest. Just my two cents and gl on your next move erkie.

I think it would be more appropriate for the artist who made the song to sumbit their own work under their name on here personally.

You can also use www.soundclick.com. It allows far more flexability with songs at a 10MB per song limit, instead of the 4MB you get here.

When would the next contest be :o? That may influence the song I submit, but prob not since I gave it a theme to something that I just saw last night at 12:50AM ;).

Are the songs fromt he c ompetition going to be on a website for all people to view? Also, will you allow small descriptions on the song by each author be made if others are able to hear the songs on a site?

Almost ready to turn in my song..decided to scratch using the video game song I did for this contest and intead make a trance song to be different :p..I'll save it for another time ;)..although, my trance song may be a bit to long at 3 min 30 sec :o. Fast question though; by the deadline for this contest do you mean all songs must be turned in before the 20th, or they can be turned in on the 20th but no later, ie, the 21st.

I think after this contest is done, later on there should be a collab Music Contest :D if there ever is another Contest :o

You talked about your song there...it's easily possible peopel who viewed that thread DLed your song. It wasn't like a 200-500 DL jump. I highly doubt there is a glich in the Audio Portal.

For all those people who keep asking if they are in. This club isnt some sort of super private club. If you enjoy VG music go ahead and post and stuff, if you make VG music you can put that in your sig like I explained in the first post :p.

In my opinion remix's of game music are original as long as they do not conform to the same exact melody. I have previous VG songs I have yet to put on NG also that I could remix. He did say any genre and I allready started working on the song 2 days ago..its a videgame remix. If Erkie, who is in charge of this contest would like to ban the use of any videogameish songs he should say something soon so that I dont put all my effort into nothing. So Erkie if you have anything against the use of videogame remix's please say something and I guess I'll drop the song I'm on and make a new one. No heard feelings either way I just wana know lol because that was made unclear I guess.
