Response to: -Star Wars Series, Voice Actors- Posted June 25th, 2005 in Audio

I'd like to give it a shot at the 2 evil roles

[Male] - Emporer Siiron - Darker more menacing voice.
[Male] - Darth Arkanious - Colder, much deeper voice.

However, I'd only want to do one of them.

If you sent me a script on both and I did a few lines and sent them to you. You could then decide of I'm #1 good enough for the part or #2 which character you would rather me voice. If I'm not good enough no hard feelings :D

I'm just curious how this whole thing is gona work. I sent liljim an email with my loops days ago and have not gotten a responce, even though on another response he said no one ever emails him. He probably is congested with emails. Not trying to sound bad just wondering when the loop thing will get put into effect.

Glad you liked it, yours was also great. The James Bond song did reminded me of Goldeneye. About joining, anyone can join if they are into VG Music :D

Response to: Mass Zero Voters Petition Posted June 17th, 2005 in Audio

The only way to cut down 0 voting by 60% would be for more 4-5's to negate the 0 and results would be higher scores. The only way to do that is to get more people to go to the Audio Portal. I dont see how there could be a different system theat could cut down 60% of 0 voting. Trust me, when you are in the flash portal, there are so many votes on submissions that ten 0's in a row wouldn't do much of a difference to the overall score. If the Flash Portal system was inplemented in the Audio Portal I think you would see a big difference. Anyway, GL with your petition.

Response to: Mass Zero Voters Petition Posted June 17th, 2005 in Audio

There is never going to be a way to stop the massive 0 voters. People with DSL or Proxy's can simply change their IP and usernames and vote 0 as much as they want. The only possible to minimize the effect of 0 voting is to give a reason for people who dont normally roam the Audio Portal a reason to vote. The only way I could ever see that happening would be if the Audio Portal basically copied the Flash Portal and had a blam/protect system where experience is given to users on this site for hearing songs. That in turn would generate more high score's for the songs that deserve it and negate the effects of 0 votes. Mass 0 voting has not really effected the best flash submissions because so many have given the best flash's the high scores they deserve. There have been a lot of posts on the 0 voting's as of late that have gotten locked so dont be upset of one of the admins lock this. Trust me I hate 0 voters as much as anyone, a few days ago every single one of my songs was voted 0 on. Anyway, to sum it up the only way to negate the effect of mass zero votings is to attract more people to vote.

1 loop will by from my To The Dark Side song the other from a song I have not put on here yet.

Response to: Audio Awards for Newgrounds members Posted June 15th, 2005 in Audio

I'd sight that if the Audio Portal voting system is converted to what the Flash Portal is; via getting exp to hear music and blam/protect. To corrupt with how it is right now to have a monthly award based on score...you could end up with a song called Donkey Nutts winning #1 place lol.

but yea, Scorpion123 is nothing but a thief, all of the ones I've listened to have just been recorded using Atomix Dj Mixer, which allows you to change the speed as it playes, add a filter, flange it, make it skip, and a few other little effects like that. So if you're against him doing this to other people's work, report him. There's no place for people who steal other people's work and post it saying they did it themselves. There was a similar problem before on here, I was skimming through and someone posted Benni Benassi's "Satisfaction" and played it off as their own.

It's the things like this that really steams me up, while all the true artists have to sit down for hours and work on shit. . .

Anyways, do or dont, I'm just saying that he's gettin off by stealin other people's work, you decide what you want to do.

At least you knew the program he used was Atomix DJ Mixer, I knew it was some sort of program like that.

I said this to my first review to him after the first song I heard of his.

Great job, but what programs/plugins did you use in this song...Reason 3.0 or Cubase SX or a VSTi plugin perhaps? BTW your ability to mimic the real song is amazing. The lead synth in both are perfectly identical.

Perhaps thats why he never responded to it..he doesnt know what those programs are or do lol.

This is what I saw from MrMcPooner's post

This sounds exactly the same as the original :-/....I find it hard to believe that you have the ability to manupulate and copy/recreate the exact synths from the original song without effort, and getting all the fade's and EQ/Filter effects perfect. I have a feeling that this song isn't yours but I dont know that so I'll just end this review at that and give you a 7...only because I don't know ;)

Let me tell you something. I may remix music. But I NEVER steal something that some1 else alredy made. I made this remix by my self, and trust me im not one of these people that steal others music and put it here

I guess it's up to you on who you believe, but from what he said about his Echoes From Alaska song blelow.

Description: I cant say ive put much effort on to this one, but it still sounds pretty good. Enjoy!

No effort into such an insain song thats practically the original in my opinion means MrMcPooner and Ryan are 100% correct. I am also done posting in this thread, just had to lay everything out for all to see; make your own assumptions.

Response to: Best Composers? Posted June 11th, 2005 in Audio

I think you're right MrMcPooner. I used Audacity to chop the song up to the exact peopnt and when II heard the song again and it appeared his (Remix) started at a mid point in the song and it's the same other than a few fluxuations in speed and sound. I compaired it with another song also and got similar results. Pitty he didn't make them from scratch but rather edited the originals. I shouldn't have let myself believe someone could mimic the real synths to such a perfection used by professionals. Oh well, at least it sounds good and got me to hear the originals his (Remix's) which kick ass (so props for that lol)...especially the song Echoes from Alaska by Bubble Fish wooooooow, its so good....hope I can do songs like that one day :)

I had to dig this thread out just for this person, because his song's were so professional.

I heard some music by a guy named scorpion132. He is in the Trance section mostly, and I was shocked by the qualty of his remix's. He remixes allready made Trance, but I checked for copies of the songs he made online and they are not stolen. He makes them sound so close to the original but puts small twists on them..if he focused on original trance music...wooooooo...its quite astounding what he has done especially in his [It's a Dream (REMIX #2)] song. So take a gander at this unknown artist....at least he looks unknown from the DL's his songs have.

Response to: 5 Genres Contest Posted May 26th, 2005 in Audio

What I mean by this is, some people use FL Studio, others Reason, Cubase SX, Acid Studio...etc. If this is a collab of music you cant possibly work together on one song if a group of people use different programs. If you did try to continue the song with someone else it would sound quite bad because of the different syths and sounds used wouldnt match. Also if say both people had the same program such as FL Studio, they wouldnt be able to share and use the same FL file without both people having the same plugins. So what I'm really trying to get is if this is a collab the only way I see of doing it would be to have a group of people where certain people in the group each focus on a separate genre song. If you have thought of a way that bypass's what I'm talking about explain how. I hope what I've said isn't too confusing lol.
